Hello everyone, my name is Natalia, welcome to my channel.
The busy marathon of shows of the Fashion Week in Paris is opened by the brand Christian Dior,
traditionally arranging a grandiose presentation of the autumn-winter 2025-2026 collection.
Despite numerous conversations about the departure of Marie Curie from the post of creative director,
she remains in office and continues to create history at home.
Reflecting on the rumors, as from the dust of a sweet jacket,
the designer sets the creative team literally the pace of work of Stakhanov
and tries to surpass himself in creative decisions.
The fashion show was more reminiscent of a theatrical production with fantastic content.
On the podium, it was as if a time machine was started.
The beginning of the show, according to the author, was a moment of poetic rest,
when in the half-dark the girl-model is located on the swings.
In general, the scenery of the show turned out to be very surrealistic.
As if someone got access to that very time machine,
pressed too many buttons at the same time and made an emergency landing somewhere in the prehistoric era.
Ice cliffs covering the podium, stone blocks soaring over the stage and a flying pterodactyl,
pillars of smoke and streams of lava.
The skillful play with light plunged the audience into the mystical atmosphere of the Jurassic period.
Although the collection itself, in terms of content, was more likely to be
between a baroque novel and a Shakespearean drama.
After all, the inspiration to create the images of the fashion line was the experimental novel
Orlando by the British writer Virginia Woolf.
Published back in 1928, it was then radical and completely innovative.
Based on the idea of gender fluidity and the evolution of personality,
the main character witnesses the change of several eras.
His life has elapsed more than three hundred years.
Moreover, the first half of the period Orlando lives as a man, and the second as a woman.
The new Dior collection, interpreted by Curie, is essentially about how you are seen and how you feel.
Here, the rough elements of a masculine wardrobe are combined with a gentle feminine lace,
complemented by romantic ruffles.
Here the past meets the present and there are no strict frames,
but only an offer to decide for yourself which style is closer to you.
Maria Grazia adores the history of fashion and always pays attention to how certain things
have changed their shape over the centuries.
Today, the designer presents on the podium a modern look at a historical costume,
in particular, at the clothes from the novel Orlando.
Curie includes a line for autumn, a jacket in all its variations,
from a turtleneck and a doublet to a fracas, a velvet coat with unprocessed edges and shorts from a taffeta,
a blouse made of arnauze and shortened for greater dynamics, an openwork dress with crinoline.
The clothes from the novel look unusual, covered with a fabric pattern in the spirit of the patterns of the Victorian era.
And the trend for fur products was given to the designers in the form of a fluffy texture for sheepskin
and as a finishing touch of the upper clothes with the fur of the harness.
Now artificial, of course.
Once they were adorned with the mantle of royal donkeys.
I would like to note separately that the outfits accompany a lot of removable details,
such as a collar of a milling cutter, a coat of arms or a corset.
All images are not strict axioms, but modular designs,
which confirms the designer's desire to push us to fashion improvisation.
Take, for example, at least a corset.
It was successfully supplemented with zippers so as not to bother with lacing.
A rather charismatic accessory will transform any outfit externally,
play the role of a stylish top or a wide belt.
It goes well with a white shirt, one of the key items in Dior's wardrobe.
This micro-trend from the podium will probably catch up in everyday fashion.
A particularly spectacular royal shirt with wide cuffs will look good with a cape or jacket.
There are a few more interesting details.
For example, boots with a leg-length collar and an original milling cutter,
as well as legendary T-shirts with the inscription
I adore Dior, which was designed by John Galliano at one time.
