The particle へ means to or towards,
and it shows the direction of the move.
For example, 京都へ行きます。

The particle へ is always attached after the place noun.
Excuse me, but I thought this hiragana is pronounced as へ.
That's right.
This hiragana is normally pronounced as へ.
However, when it's used as a particle to show the direction of the move,
it's pronounced as へ.
Kanpai!
Cheers!
