The Most Brutal Attacking Tennis by Roger Federer

Superb length and the old school approach shot. This goes to show you, even somebody as quick as Djokovic struggles to catch up to a good volley. It's world class, isn't it? It's old school. That's good tennis. No hesitation, that's the key. Generates so much pace with that form, even when he's falling back. Came pretty close in the last game on Federer's serve. He's given his fans plenty to cheer so far. How good your returns are if you can't get your racket on the ball. So Federer sending the right message down the other end of the court. He holds in just 47 seconds to move within a game of wrapping up this opening. Oh, superb net coverage. Got nice and tight on it there to cut off that pass. Big aggressive move forward, that's key. It's amazing the improvement we've seen throughout the course of the week. We read the serve well that time. And if he can do that with a break. That's what you were talking about. Gets the play. 80% of the easy passing shots go cross court. And this time he is leaning. And he's got those reflexes like a mongoose on amphetamines. Lovely shot that was. Took Djokovic well and truly by surprise there. Superb movement. No indecision. All out attack, but this smash is excellent. No mistake with that one though. Made the adjustment beautifully. Yes, a crucial number. Five of eight in the first set. Oh yes, what a great hustle that was. Federer just keeps coming at him. Oh, sublime. I mean it's just jaw dropping. It's a pattern of play that's worked so very well for Federer this evening. Ripping. It's a third. Federer has done it. And what a match. What a performance. And it was the manner of the performance. An absolute joy to watch.
