Today on Jesse Duplantis ministries, he said I must I came that you might know the father I only say what my father says. I only do what my father tells me to do. Why because I'm up Luke chapter 2 Verse 49 is the first recorded words of Jesus Christ That we know he said these The first recorded words, we know he said words before that but recorded so we would know about it Mary has lost Jesus now the third day How can you lose a kid for three days? I don't know Hail Mary full of grace But kids can get away from me You know I'm saying they just kind of do things do what they want to do it and they just take off And I want to read let me read verse But let me read verse 47 first of Luke chapter 2 and all that heard him was astonished at his understanding and answers And when they saw him they were amazed and and his mother said unto him son Why hast thou thus dealt with us? Oh thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing see this is the first time That Mary thinks he's made a mistake You've always been so obedient. You've always been there You've all and why we was we were worried But it didn't take her it took her a whole day to figure it out that he wasn't there Maybe she hadn't as worried as much as she thought Think about this they went a day's journey before she realized he was not with them. He was 12 years old So, you know say she says that but now Jesus reminds her of something that that angel said to her before he was born He says that in verse 49 the first recorded words of Jesus Christ. He said unto them. How is it that you sought me? Wishing not that I must be about my father's business. Let me say it again How is it that you sought me? In other words you Mary did you forget? Mary did you forget who I am? Wish you not that I must be about my father's business Now go with me to the book of st. John chapter 9 real quickly. I'm gonna do a little teaching this morning st John chapter 9 I want to read I believe verse 4 Jesus says this in st. John chapter 9 verse 4. I must work the works of him that sent me While it is day the night cometh when no man can work As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. Let me go to verse 4 again I must work the works of him that sent me while it is day the night cometh when no man can work now if you notice in Luke 2 49 he says wish you not that I must be about my father's business Now go with me to the book of John chapter 3 real quickly the book of John chapter 3 And I want to read this verse of Scripture. I believe you'll be blessed on it verse 14 It says as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness even so must The Son of Man be lifted up. Let me read it again And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness even so must the Son of Man be lifted up Now go with me to the book of Mark chapter 8. I'll take you to a few scriptures here. I want you to see this here Mark chapter 8 verse 31 and he began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected of the elders and Of the chief priests and scribes and be killed and after three days rise again Let me read it again He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected of the elders and of the chief priests and Scribes and and be killed and after three days rise again Notice in all those verses of Scripture There's two words That Jesus says he says I must I must That's the title of my sermon today. I must People ask me all the time why I preach so much and why I go so much I must You see when you're a father You have to understand I must That's why a father goes to work and takes care of his family. If he's a true man, he must do that It's his responsibility It's actually his honor to be a blessing to his family and to anyone he choose I must Jesus was compelled to do these things. He said I must that came that you might know the father I only say what my father says I only do what my father tells me to do why because I must People look at me all the time say how can you handle the persecution on prosperity? I must There's no other choice. How can you handle a persecution when you deal with healing and miracles and I must I must Preach this gospel. I must accomplish what God has called me to do Why because he made me in his image and what is that the image of a father? Now you think about that for a minute? So if you're taking notes write this down the father's will is number one to rule The father's will is to rule the father's mind is to be read and the father's kingdom is to be promoted Let me say it again. The father's will is to rule We rule by his word the father's mind is to be read and the father's kingdom is to be promoted That's why I preach so much because you see it's his vision. I don't have a ministry I have a kingdom ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ and he does it because of the father You understand what I'm saying? Now, you know Kathy was a mother before I was a father and let me explain that See cuz Kathy could feel Jodi inside of her I really did not actually become a father even though I knew she was pregnant until they put Jodi in my hands When they put Jodi in my hands something happened to me And I see as long as I was mad me and Kathy I was a crazy Wow Rock musician did anything I want when I want it where I want it how I want it I didn't care because I didn't really understand the rules or the responsibility of being a father because I didn't have anything to be a father to now Kathy could feel a Jodi inside of her moving, but I couldn't you know, I just knew that she was my child But when they handed her I saw her six seconds after she was born which kind of freaked me out Because in those days they didn't allow anybody to go into the delivery room to watch a baby be in delivery The man went to the place to pay for the baby They brought him to the accounting office so he could pay for the baby So when I first saw Jodi, she wouldn't cleaned up at all. And Lord, it shocked me because I wasn't expecting that I went whoa, what is this? What it whoa, can we put this back what is this I did not realize my god I mean, you know, I could hear hollering going on and sad to say I was playing blackjack with the doctor And the nurse had to come get it cuz Kathy was about ready to bingo You understand and I had won all the money I paid him This is true story and of course I was wild long-haired freaky boy But watch this and then they took Jodi away and put her in a little bassinet looking thing with heat in it they cleaned her all up and I never forget walking over to the glass window and now she's all cleaned up and Kathy had a little thing put on her and she was just beautiful. But when they handed her to me Something happened. I Became a father. I said I gotta quit doing all this trash I've got I'm now I have someone to work for I have someone to build on somebody to In other words that what I do in my life would be a stepping stone for what she would do in her life I became a father when I got born again I realized for the first time in my life how important it was that I would be a son of a father So I had to understand I knew that it was the father's will to rule That I had to learn to read the father's mind through the scripture person asked me other day What is your view on homosexuality? I said, I don't have any I have no view at all on sexuality on homosexuality or heterosexuality or any other kind of Allergy, whatever you want to call it. I just say what Jesus said some people say I don't believe that well It doesn't make any difference whether you believe it or not. It's still the truth So my view has nothing to do with this It has to do with the Word of the Living God now for you to understand that you got to understand the father's position He created you now you he rules and reigns but you must learn to read his mind and also promote his vision You see what I'm saying? Because he's got you in mind. See I must should always be irresistible So if somebody says are you going to church? I must why because it's irresistible I must must be irresistible in everything in your life. People say why do you give so much? I must why do you receive so much? I must why do you do all these things? I must you see he said I must be about my father's business I must do the works of God while it's day if the son of man be lifted up I must rise from the dead in three days Now the words he had I must on his mind see so I must write this down I must must be irresistible to you. It's not just going to church out of Sunday obligation or if you go to mass every day on daily obligation now, why do you do that? I must Why because see you're compelled you have the father's way of understanding See God's business must be supreme write that down God's business must be supreme and it's supreme only if you understand those two words. I must Sometime I do things. I remember when Jody was growing up Kathy said you shouldn't do that. Jesse. I said I must There's no sometime but Kathy said you give her too much money. I said I must I have no other choice and Jody would tell her mama let daddy do what he want to do You see didn't let daddy do what he want to do. Why I must Because you see when she was placed in my hand I had a responsibility from then on to live my life totally different than what I was living before When when Jesus Christ put me in the father's hands now It turned I had the responsibility as a son to do what he tells me to do I must so I only say what he says. I only do what he tells me to do He says by stripes you were healed. So I accept that he said thirty sixteen a hundred fold in a thousand time return I must believe it I've had people a divine healing divine health, even if you sick divine life, even if you don't feel right I must There's no other choice. Why because you see I've read his mind. I'm promoting his kingdom. Glory to God Do you understand what I'm saying here? That's what Jesus was telling his mama. I must I didn't just come here for you To pat me on the head and call me your boy. I Am about the father's business Do you see that? So is the I must in your life irresistible when you get up and to go to church on Sunday morning Your body don't fit. Don't you sleep better on Sunday morning than you do any other time? Don't you even your children do that you ever notice that side of that They had five o'clock in the morning eating cereal watching cartoons or something trying to but on Sunday You got to drag them out of bed. Why could that devil wants them to sleep through the service? He don't want you going to church, but if I must is irresistible to you You will get up and say devil. I bind you and body. Shut up. You go in the church You see what I'm saying? So I must should always be irresistible God's business must be supreme Why because that's no other if you notice anything about Jesus Christ You don't know much about his after his birth till he was 12 one incident and then 30 years old Why because his business was to do the father's business. Sure. We'd like to know if you ever played baseball. I Mean, you know I use that as example, whatever they played back there They all had games just like we have games there, but that doesn't really help you But if you know that he's about the father's business then that helps you spiritually physically and financially In every area of your life, you see I must there's no other choice in the matter There's been a lot of times. I walk behind a pulpit. I could barely walk. I was so tired I know what to do it myself, man I had done television here I done different thing boom boom and I took off on that jet took off and I mean and man preach late turn turn around sweat Like a Missouri mule jump back on that plane fly back be back here the next morning to do some more television going back out And you know, did your body get tired sure it gets tired, but you see I must be about the father's business I have the same declaration that Jesus says That I must be about the father's business. He also said I must work the works of him that sent me You know, I knew that we had a criteria this morning. I Knew I would mess up pastor Kenny's thing There's several things they had to do but the Lord said you're gonna stand there or you're gonna walk up there and do what I tell you to do because some of You were empty, but you ain't empty no more Why because I must You see what I'm saying? Just what Jesus was saying. I must work the works of him that sent me I can understand that scripture in John 9 in verse 4 Why because I'm doing the same thing. I must work the works of him that sent me That's why I'm going to Helena, Montana next weekend Seattle, Washington next weekend Casper, Wyoming next week in New Orleans And then just going on constantly Burning thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars worth of fuel preaching and not charging anybody nothing going out there and just believing God By faith that I could do it because it's the father's business That's why I don't mind telling you to you to be a partner. Why because you must Because it's not being a partner with me per se you being a partner with the Lord Jesus Christ to do the father's business through Jesse the planet's ministries or through Covenant Church Write this down the dawn of sacred duty and responsibility is given to the person that understands. I must the dawn of sacred duty and Responsibility is given to the person that understands. I must you see it's a sacred duty to preach this gospel It's a sacred honor and it's a great Responsibility that one soul would might come into the world if I go preach a place that I don't and one person gets born again I'm so excited. Some people don't like to report on one person being born again. One person is worth more than a whole world Do you understand it? Just how much is the planet earth worth try to figure it out? It's numbers. You can't even attain in your mind. You see so I understand that it's a sacred duty I must work the works of They sent me because the night cometh when no man can work or you understand what I'm trying to say in those days They had a problem with light. Only thing they had was a candle. Thank God. We got electricity today But you understand what I'm saying here. So it's a sacred duty. Write it down the dawn of sacred duty and Responsibility is given to each and every one of you that understands. I Must so when people say why y'all why you go that covenant church so much. I must why do y'all get in that church? I must why you live in that mansion. I must I lost you right there didn't I I Got the talk to the vacation Bible school students, man. I mean, I love them kids. They all just look at you Cuz see I'm tall in their eyes When you're four years or five years, I am a big man And this little back boy was just looking at me. He said Hi, buddy, Jesse. I said, hey, how you doing little man? He said you live in a mansion I said, yes, I do you want to live in a mansion? He said I certainly do I said you certainly will I Put the I must on him He put the I must on me there was no animosity Because you see love in his purest form Has no animosity has no jealousy has no envy. He just he glad I live in that mansion Travis just two little girls. They're twins. My lord. He just they just had to hug me And I tell you what, they're gonna they're gonna push you out the way to get the brother just They got a brother. He couldn't hardly get to me because they were just about going out the way Let me just let me just hug. It was a blessing me. You see and I and it was I must think So I got to talk to him a little bit and I told him ours and and someone was 18 years old Well, I think one of the people that was there was 18. I said don't never let somebody tell you you can't do something You can do all things through Christ Why I must tell people that people say you shouldn't lift up people's hopes Lift your hope up now faith is a substance thing hope for you got to hope so faith can produce Something that you believing for I must it's a dawn. It's a sacred duty a great Responsibility when you understand I must write this down. I must where is it created that it is created in the atmosphere? Of love write that down. I must is created in the atmosphere of love Yeah, one time me and Kenneth Copeland he decided to pray for every partner that was there Lord Jesus He said we're gonna lay hands on everyone It was me and him and I thought good God of my was you at that meeting brother? Who we line up and I won't tell you sound my arms I could not lift my arm up no higher than this and about the last 40 people It didn't get a lot of anointing off of me. Ah And and brother Copeland they had to put a chair. I mean we both stand up. I mean we laid our hand But it was to Jesus it was up there, but when we finished we were totally drained and people said why do y'all do that? We must We must we must you see when you understand that it makes no difference how tired you get It makes you let me give you an analogy of women back when I was a young boy I used to hear girl says we must we must we must increase our bust we must we must How many of y'all girls did that? Come on be honest. Hold your hand up. Don't lie Look at all the women I've got your attention there. Look at Kathy. Oh, Jesus make the sign of the cross Every man that your boyfriend was believing with you. Yeah We believe in that glory that God hallelujah Got to give a man something to believe for Must Preach this gospel Let me help you. I must get that 7x I must give 2 million dollars to the people who heard me say that It's a must with me Because it's God given It's God ordained. I don't care what the world says must and If you don't understand it, I'm sorry but I must preach this gospel I Must work the works of him. I must is created in the atmosphere of love I don't like it when Kathy tells me she don't want nothing for her birthday or She don't want nothing for her anniversary Or she don't want nothing for Christmas. I know she has everything that's not I mean Well, it has nothing to do with need as far as myself personally or her but I must it bothers me Well, let me help you ladies and gentlemen. It bothers the father If I don't give him an opportunity to bless me That shocks you if you understand a father a father wants to bless his children at all times Meredith called me about a week and a half ago. My granddaughter. She says I believe I'll have a sleepover It was a must in her life I Said sure. Come on over Meredith. Oh, I'll tell you what and we went shopping that day We must you know, we could have bought it just one Barbie doll, but we bought a 14 of them Now that is overboard. Isn't it? Yeah And you know what we told her to do with your old dolls Why don't you give it to your dolls that that you're not playing with some people kids that don't have it? Oh, yeah, I said, it's so nice to be a blessing. I said you might want to give some of these new ones away Okay It was a blessing I thought we were finished But we weren't finished We went to the mall. We were going to get something to eat. I thought and we did And Kathy said I want to buy her a little bag that she can pull I said a bag you mean, you know, but it's two wheels on it. Oh, yeah I said, okay, so I'm thinking you know what that cost $40 200 bucks She said oh, I wanted to match this with her and she says maybe this is matches with this man We'll go ahead and take that to Lord Jesus Well, you got to have something to carry the 14 Barbie dolls in I must Walked out of that feeling so good That Kathy took a picture with me and her right at the store and I could see the people behind me They were feeling good, too They didn't made their money for that day It was a blessing You see I must is created in the atmosphere of love. I Like it sometimes when I go to bring Kathy does like jewelry She got some beautiful jewelry pieces and she'll look at something. I said, would you like to have that? Oh, no, Jess, that's just too much money. Do you want me to have it? No, I don't want what she said that I must I Said sure. It looks great. Great good. Now. She wants one of my watches She said Jesse, you don't hardly wear that watch and girls wear a lot of men's what I want that what I said But that's my watch She said what I think you ought to give it to your wife. Well, she has a stone that I like That's in a certain ring Marty, it's beautiful it's cobalt and it's beautiful blue So I said I'll tell you what I'll do Kathy. I'll give you that watch You can wear I said, but let me have that stone and I'll take it out that out that setting and I put No, no She put another word. We must not We must not well, they don't say that anywhere in the scripture we must not We say And we're still arguing over that I Must has never let me just say I must is created in the atmosphere of love See, I must are the only words that regulates Christianity write that down. I must Are the only words that regulates Christianity? It regulates it in a blessing it puts Christianity because it's such a Challenge to believe in I must I must do this That's why you see missionaries go some give their lives I'm known of some that they put them and their wife and their children in a pit and Filled it up with sand and as the sand went over their heads that as they died. I must preach this gospel the Ford Wonderful nuns and that were raped terribly in Central America a few years back They said if you don't get out of here, they will kill you and we must preach this gospel You see they understand it as a sacred duty As a sacred responsibility because that I must is created out of the atmosphere of love Think about that. That's why Jesus went to the cross. I must that's why I took that whipping which is beyond a Human comprehension the Romans didn't just scourge you they beat you to death Because he must you see sir. I must and your Christianity will flow freely fearlessly and Powerfully to every individual you come into contact with Let me say this. There's a sweet and sour must of sacrifice want to get on that for a minute. I Call it the sweet and sour must of sacrifice Jesus said the Son of Man must be lifted up. That's not easy ladies and gentlemen But you know why that must was on him so strong because evil he feet He wouldn't have been lifted up. You would have never been able to come to the knowledge of who God was He was trying to get you to the father He said the Son of Man must be lifted up. This is the sweet and sour must of sacrifice You see must is a hard word What makes it hard necessity?
