The Key to the Secret of This Universe

First you thought, you felt, and you share, my life seems to be full of activity. Something needs to be active. OK. And what's the way of this? And then you say, well, actually, there seems to be a kind of ... At the centre of this is a sense like it's a child. Quite often people give this type of report. They say, I just feel like I'm a child, somehow there. But then the child is also seen as also an image now, appearing in true memory and in consciousness. And then by your own volition, you came and you say, but I get the feeling that there's somebody watching this child. Somebody is watching this child image. But I'm not sure it's someone, maybe it's something, maybe ... Who is speaking now? What is the position of the one who is speaking now? Don't create. Don't imagine. No, I say me, but I'm not sure that that's true. I'm not sure that I'm ... Who is not sure it's true? No, I don't want to drive you crazy. It's not that. I'm just inviting you into a deeper place of your own looking, to see what really is underneath all of this. I have this doubt that I'm a person. Basically, I have this doubt that I'm a person. Like, maybe I'm the void. Maybe I'm God. Maybe I'm not me. I don't know. Yeah, maybe you're a peanut. I don't know. We can say, maybe this, maybe that, maybe this. So it's a sort of speculation. I want you to come to your own seeing. So that you can see if any of these things you name is what you are. We can do now. We can find out. Everything that appears to you in the form of maybe thought ... You got me. You got me. You nailed me down. Because you are pointing to my speculations, and I can see that. So you cannot be the speculation. Let's come back to this point. You cannot be the speculation. Whatever image the speculation takes, you cannot be that. You must be earlier than that. I agree. I agree. So nothing that you speculate is admissible. That's just a speculation. What is that which is not a speculation? Come to that place. Don't go to words just yet. It's speechless. It's wordless. It's wordless. It's speechless. Be there. Don't listen to anything the mind has to say about that. Because much commentary will happen around this. There is a beehive around this seeing. That as soon as you are here, the first thieves start showing up. They come to seduce. Come, come. OK, you see now. Come, come. But that itself is not a speculation. What is not a speculation? What is not a thought? Thought can appear in front of it, but itself is not a thought. Maybe thoughts are perceived in it, but it's not a thought. Are you not there? In what form must you be there? No form, no shape. What do you mean? How are you there? What must you be? It's a mystery. For whom? For me. Stay with this. Me being what? No, no. I want you to hear what I'm saying. It's the first time you're hearing anything like this. Just really be with that. Don't answer any clichés or anything you've heard or read. And sometimes we're not sure if your answers are coming from something you've heard, or something you've read. So I want you to be sure. In what way can you be sure? Because anything that you've read or heard is appearing only in the form of memory, and cannot appear without you, who is the perceiver of this. Don't hold any image of yourself. Don't go to memory. Because even memory needs you to say that memory is there. You are the reader of memory. You are the perceiver even of memory. Who are you? Where are you? What are you? It's like I've lost myself. Listen to this. It is like I've lost myself. But something is here to witness the sense of losing a self. Maybe a sense of self. Maybe what you've been calling yourself. And something has been dwelling in the costume of that identity. But right now, I can't find that. Is there any regret or disappointment? If I am not consciousness, then I am not the content of consciousness either. This is not a curse against consciousness. It's simply that there is something tracing back and looking, but wait a minute, I'm aware of consciousness? Some people speak, Oh, I'm losing consciousness. Something is aware of losing of consciousness? As what are you speaking to give this evidence? I am aware of consciousness. I cannot be the consciousness. OK, fine, good. Let's leave it out of this inquiry. What's left? I'm not consciousness. Look, in one sweep we have dealt with the whole of the universe. I'm not consciousness. The world, the universe cannot appear without consciousness. And I'm not that. What is left? This is pretty deep, Mooji. Even deep or shallow? Even deep or shallow, I'm aware of the sense of deep or shallow. It's a source point. It's a source point. I'm a source. It looks like I'm a source. You see, again you go ... See, only see. Can the perceiver perceive itself? Can the perceiver be perceived? Where are you in this question? Where is your position in this question? I know this is unusual questioning, but I'm telling you, this is the key to the secret of this universe. I'm not asking you to believe. I'm asking you to look.
