Miami Marlins vs New York Mets - FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS - August 29, 2025 MLB Season

So for four last night And Tom's first big league pitch is a fastball inside for ball one and we're underway. They take that ball out of play It's not as wiry as Linzico Edwards loops one into shallow center Taylor coming on to make the catch That's the first down There's Jacob Marcy a rookie whose career has gotten off to a flying start He pops one up at the shallow left center angling on at his demo, and he's there to grab it two out Agustin Ramirez DH'ing tonight Ramirez the rookie catcher Pops his first pitch up and Beatty on the right side of the infield waits for him to come down Side retired then he hurt his elbow the next spring and underwent Tommy John surgery Soto climbs on the deep right center field Back goes Marcy back near the wall And it's out of here On Soto with his 33rd home run of the year Give the Mets a quick 2-0 lead That's pulled toward the right field corner by Nimmo And it's out of here Brendan Nimmo with a 3-run homer Number 21 for Nimmo And before an out is recorded It's 5-0 New York And the Mets are wearing him down And that's pulled toward short And it's caught by Lopez for the first out of the inning Marte is retired Making his third home run 15th start tonight He's from 70 innings coming in Sliced toward left center Marcy on the run will get there to make the catch And Beatty retired 2 out 1-2 coming And Taylor takes it on the outside corner for strike 3 Calls as Zuber comes in and gets the final out of the inning Jonah Todd's take to a 5-0 lead And then two real hard fastballs Breaking ball hit past D'Antos and down the line An extra base hit for Lopez And he routes second And stops there With a lead off double It's a gravitational pull That's pulled down to first And Alonzo scoops it nicely Takes it to the bag Lopez to third, one out 3-2 coming And it's lined to short, caught by Lindor Two men down 2-2 Hit back to the mound Jonah Todd quickly on it Side retired So Jonah Todd works around the lead 3-2 coming And the breaking ball hit sharply And caught by Norby So Connor Norby falling to his left To catch that ladder Might be in Detroit on Wednesday Toward the middle of the diamond And flashing over his head To grab it, throws out Lindor Hits that pitch, he does go on his knee Fly ball, right field off the bat of Alonzo Back in the wall Alonzo goes the other way for his 31st home run That's lined over second Base hit Around third comes Viento So coming to score, Nimmo goes first to third Stalling Marte with an RBI single And Memento pouring it on And now Taylor Taylor pulls one off the bag And down the line Nimmo is in, Taylor will score Beating Christian Double for Tyrone Taylor Going to Lindor And he punches one the other way And that lands for a base hit Beaty is in, Taylor scores Terrence to third Lindor with a 2-1 opposite field double And he strikes out of the change up And the inning finally comes to an end And he got him First ball from Todd For his first Major League punch out As he gets Joey Weaver And he'll take that ball out 3-2 coming And Todd got him looking at a fastball So And he hits one softly past Todd But right there is Beaty to field Side retired, so Todd gets out of another jam Starling Marte at the plate with a 1-2 count With Alonzo at first and two out And Starling foul tips it For strike three And for the first time Holds a third past Vientos A base hit, Johnston to third He's going to be waved around And he will score And so Todd has yielded a run To his body Pulled on the ground to first Under the glove of Alonzo Around third comes Wagaman, he'll come in to score 0-2 coming to Ramirez And he popped it up Who's going to get it Terence calling for it Two out On the curve, this one's dumped into center field For a base hit, and that'll bring in Two more runs Edwards and Marcy both cross the plate It's now 12-4 Make it six Jonah Todd finishes off For Marlin That wasn't our trivia question Trivia question was about the Canadians Dribbled up the line and Baiozzo off the mound Puts the tag on Lador, one out That's up the middle And right to the second baseman, Edwards Who takes it to the bag for the fourth plate A little closer to his body Trying to eliminate that tip And that's a foul, a fair ball down the left field line That'll be extra bases For Connor Norby There's another complicated factor This ball is popped up Into shallow left Wagaman, Demo comes in To get it, and that's the second out The tomahawk chop While the Cardinals were there Lindor to his left, nice play Spinaraba on the hump And Alonzo's feet on the bag And makes the play Nothing like having a positive result Demo pulls that one Toward the corner, and that ball Is off the pole, a homerun Second homerun of the night For Brandon Demo His 22nd of the year First time we've seen Brandon To two homeruns in a game Marte pops up And fouls Brown And he's gonna get it, the first baseman, Wagaman Comes in, Beaty at first with two out And Terrence Pulls one on the ground Backhand play by Lopez, low throw Wagaman scoops it out, side return But it'll be Interesting to see how they handle Him coming down the stretch of the season Whether he'll be part of the Knicks or not That's pulled down the left field line And that's gonna go into the corner Left for bases for Wagaman Johnston the third, he's gonna be Held up there Wagaman's got his third hit of the night But it's not a particular fashion Statement No, everyone's got them So, they gotta have it Weaver flies one out to right, Taylor Almost lost it, but makes the grab And coming home to score Is Johnston as One-two coming, and he struck him out Got him with a changeup A rare pitch for Castillo He's gonna pitch for the seventh time This season Tries the sidearm delivery And Vientos clubs one out to left center And that's out of here Mark Vientos gets a home run off the Positioned player And the early part of the aughts, that's pulled down The line and Taylor's got himself another extra Base hit, Nimmel is in And Marte will jog home Beatty goes to third Second two-run double of the game to Taylor And it's now The pitching inning Fly ball by Terrenz down the line Toward the corner, and that ball Is out of here A three-run homer for Luis Terrenz His fourth home run of the season Anyway, when the Mets Played the 20 inning game in St. Louis Felipe Lopez Came on in relief, and he's a Positioned player, so he can catch the pop-up And that's the first Out, he took the loss And if I recall correctly This ground ball to third might be a double play And they turn two I think Mike Pelfrey came in to get the save In the bottom of the 20th Terrenz has a good arm Oh, that one's hit Deep to left off the bat of Lopez Nimmel will go back and watch this Sail out of here Fourth hit of the night For Otto Lopez, his twelfth home run Of the year It does not come with an asterisk They all count, and now Hicks drives one Down the line, toward the pole And that's gone So back-to-back home runs for the Marlins For Hicks' fifth of the year And now it's 19-8 And this one's hit out to right This should be playable for Taylor But it's over his head And off the wall Norby to third They're gonna wave him around as the ball Kicked away Johnston goes all the way to third With his first career triple And now it's 19-9 2-2 to Joey Weimer And he struck him out And that'll do it Jonathan gets a victory in his first Major League start The Mets score more runs Than they've ever scored in a home game In their 64-year history
