Moorea - Scuba Diving and Freediving with Humpback Whales Part 2

Moorea was a nonstop adventure, everyday we return to our villa exhausted from our expedition. Whether we were trying to position ourselves in front of a whale, scuba diving the barrier reef, or swimming with sharks and sting rays, by the end of the day we barely made it through dinner.
This vacation was a time in my life that I will never forget.
Free diving with the humpback whales was nothing short of incredible
but we packed our scuba gear to see what we can find in the depths
and Marea it did not disappoint.
So
Captain Nico said we could do that for our surface interval.
I came prepared with my camera, my GoPro and my drone.
It's funny what we desire in life but this truly was a dream come true.
The final day of a vacation is always heavy. I asked myself if I was present enough.
Did I take advantage of the time and the moments that were given to me?
This final day I made sure I felt every minute.
During this week we spent 40 hours on this boat in smooth conditions and in rough
and it brought us closer to these animals than I ever thought possible.

We searched and searched until we assumed we were right above him.
Just a little too deep for us to see and his song pierced right through us.
The echo and the reverb was incredible and it shook our bodies.
I hit record on my camera just to capture the song.
Like I said, perfect.
