I get married in less than 40 days. We're in the lower 30s now.
There's lots of planning and prep to do. Today is Sunday, and I'm not gonna lie,
my entire plan today was to sit up by the pool, finish my book,
and just enjoy a relaxing Sunday, but the weather is not looking too hot.
The forecast says it's sunny and there's no rain, but half of the sky is light,
half the sky is dark, so it also got really windy up there, so I just couldn't
bear it. I came back down. I'm feeling very motivated to clean my house.
Just reset for the week. I'm gonna be using all of my non-toxic products,
so if you are following me for my non-toxic lifestyle,
I will share what I'm using as I kind of go through and clean my apartment.
I am also sharing every week leading up to my wedding now. I'm gonna be vlogging every week.
Go watch last week's if you haven't. This week's exciting because my bridal
shower is this weekend, so lots of planning and prep going into that.
We'll be driving back to New Jersey on Friday, and then my bridal shower is on Saturday.
We are going to start the week off with a clean apartment. Let's get into it. Hopefully,
this motivates you if you're watching this on the weekend to get up and clean your apartment,
just tidy it up for the new week. It always feels super good to start on a fresh note.
I wanted to go through all the cleaning products I'm gonna be using. Hopefully,
give you some recommendations. I like to remind people when I'm sharing clean products is it is
a journey. Do not throw everything out that you have. Use it up, and then start to replace things
with cleaner alternatives. I did buy this glass cleaner, and it is not non-toxic. Once I use this
up, I'm going to testing out and looking for some more cleaner alternatives, so do not go and
purchase this. I'm gonna do some research on some cleaner products. It is hard to be completely
perfect on living a clean, non-toxic lifestyle. You can drive yourself crazy, and nobody is perfect.
I am not perfect, even though I do try to share my clean, non-toxic lifestyle. First thing I'm
gonna share is detergent, laundry. Branch Basics was really kind enough to send me a PR packet.
Clean Cult did send me a few things, too, because as you know, I am a content creator, and I live a
clean, non-toxic lifestyle, so clean brands like to reach out. I will say I say no to so many brands
that want to give me PR. If they're non-toxic, of course, I will say yes, but if they are not, I say
no. For detergent, I did run out of my Molly Suds detergent, but we have been using that for the
longest time. Then, I also have their oxygen whitener that I'll put in for whitening my whites.
Molly Suds is a great brand. You can buy it on Amazon. I will link it below. I also have the
Branch Basics. I really like how easy and convenient this is, so they basically send you a concentrate,
and you are able to make all-purpose cleaner, hand-soak, streak-free, so I guess that's premier.
I can actually try that. Laundry bottle. It also comes with these glass bottles, their starter kit.
It basically shows you where to fill the water up, where to put soap, the concentrate in, and using
their detergent. So basically, you put this in, you fill it up to about here with water,
and then here with soap, and we are running low, so we're gonna have to make some of that.
Washer. Molly Suds. They're just washing detergent pods. Clean Cult is another one of my favorites.
They have also tons of things to choose from as far as cleaning products. I do love their
all-purpose cleaner. I've been buying it for a while. They actually used to have cartons, and I
actually still have cartons that I need to use up, but they did send me their new bottles. Basically,
buy the refill and refill them, so all these things are pretty sustainable, too, because you're
refilling, and we're not doing any plastic here, and so I like to use this as my all-purpose cleaner.
All the scents are really great, made with essential oils, no toxic fragrances, and then last
thing I wanted to share with you is Dr. Bronner's. This is such a great way to get your money's worth
to use so many different things. I like to say, you know, switching to clean, non-toxic products
can be expensive. These products are expensive. Finding products that you can use for so many
different things is super helpful. You will use it as dish soap. I also actually use this as my
body soap. Foam it up, use it in the shower. You can clean with it. There's basically 10 uses on
the back here, but there's so many more. If you're looking to make the switch, I'll link everything
down below, and if I have any codes for discounts. It's not this messy, but I did already have soap
in there. I feel like there should be a little bit of a tighter grip on the top here because you
can't grab it by the top here or else it'll fall off. You have to grab it by the neck. Make sure
you don't spill your detergent all over the place.
Taking a little snack break, I heated up some Trader Joe's buffalo chicken dip, and I have my
siate grain-free tortilla chips. I have a little plate of pineapple, cucumber, carrot, and some
hummus. I just need a little bit to hold me over. It's around 2.45, so I don't want to eat like a huge
lunch. Buddy, what are you doing? Is that comfy? Are you hungry?
Hi cute boy! We're gonna have time for like maybe a 10-minute workout. I might
work out later. Then we can have a 30-minute walk. Milo, Milo. Are you sick? Milo.
Cute boys, cute boys.
Hi buddy, what are you doing?
Happy Tuesday. I woke up pretty late this morning, and I'm just feeling a little bit tired. I did not
work out yesterday. I may do my 10k steps today, but I don't know if I'm gonna like fully work out.
It is that time of the month. It's about to happen, and I just can feel my body slowing down a little
bit. Listening to that and taking it day by day and just seeing how I feel. I have a couple of
friends coming over who used to live in my building who are not in the building anymore, so they're
gonna come over. We're gonna sit by the pool, do a little work, and just hang out together. Probably
not gonna pick up the camera a lot today, but I wanted to share this little drink that I've been
making for the pool. Trying to stay super hydrated for my skin for the wedding. I've been making
something like this every single day when I go up to the pool. Today, I'm gonna use the Peak
BT Fountain Beauty Electrolyte. It's supposed to hydrate your skin. It has hyaluronic acid and
ceramide. It is the yuzu berry flavor, so we're gonna put this in our drink. I have a little bit
of water in here. I will kind of go in between this and the nectar hydration, and I only do a
little bit of water at first so I can like mix it in this huge jug of mine. This is from S'well.
I do really like these a lot. A little squishy squishy. It literally does turn your water pink,
so if you're looking for a cute little pink drink for the summer, like this would be cute to make a
mocktail with. Coconut water, I just got this from Trader Joe's. I'm gonna add a little bit of that
in for some more hydration. For a little bit of caffeine, I do try to stay away from caffeine
around this time of my cycle, but I have this bubbler. I can't really drink all of it because
I get super jittery with caffeine. I have matcha. This is just a little bit too much for me. I know
it's kind of crazy because it's like not even a cup of coffee, but I can't drink coffee, so I get
like too shaky. I drank like half of this yesterday. We're gonna do the other half. This is the Passion
Fruit Wonder Flavor, which I really really like from Bubbler. We're just gonna add that in. That'll
give me a little bit of caffeine, but like not too crazy. Mix her up. I might add a little bit of
water, but let's see. I just brushed my teeth so hopefully it tastes good. That's good. This is
like hits with like every flavor. The nectar, I've been doing the watermelon nectar with this.
Pineapple, nectar, really any flavor. It goes really well. So that's what I'm gonna be drinking,
and then the coconut water adds like a little bit of sweetness. You don't like to eat coconut,
but that's what I've been doing just to make sure that I'm staying hydrated. I got this necklace
from our spare change in the mail, and I am obsessed with it. I picked my little charms.
I have a dog charm, a bow, a little K, a pearl, and some cherries, and I think it's so cute. I love it.
Come here. Hi puppy boy.
Happy Wednesday. I'm gonna be trialing my wedding tables. I have a florist for the
wedding, but I have to send her my bud vases. I want to know how many bud vases and candles,
candlesticks that I want on the tables, and kind of what looks good in comparison. Center Island is
like roughly the same size as the oval tables that we're going to be having at the wedding,
so I went to Trader Joe's this morning and got some flowers, and we're gonna sample those. I'm
currently putting together my gift for the bridal shower. We're gonna have some prizes to win, and
I put together some fun goodies that I had. I think once I get there
on Friday, we might pick up some last minute things.
I just filmed a video. My bridal shower is this weekend, and I have no idea what to wear.
I just filmed a video to ask everybody on Instagram and TikTok, and I wanted to show you
so all these dresses I have are from Lulu's. I don't know which one to wear, so I have three.
This is the first one. Really pretty satin, and it has a cute little added layer. It's really fun.
My bridal shower is in my backyard at home. I feel like dressing up a little bit will kind of
elevate it a little bit, so this is the first one. Super cute. I feel like I'm leaning more
towards this one. I love the corset and the drop waist, and the satin material is probably my
favorite. I love that so much. I'm leaning towards this one. They're all short. Could be a second
contender, I feel like, out of all three of them. Kind of feels like the first and second one
together a little bit. It has a little bit of bounce. It's like a bubble skirt,
and then the front has a floral pattern on it, which is really pretty. By the time I post this,
my bridal shower will have already happened. I'm curious which one you think I should wear.
It is Thursday. I didn't actually get to do this yesterday. I wanted to make sure I had
enough time and not brush it. I was just kind of crazy busy getting other work done. I pulled out
four vases from the box. Everything is from Amazon. These I got off of my cousin. I bought
off her wedding, and I believe they're also Amazon, or they might be Ikea. I pulled out four. I got
like a 24 pack on Amazon of little mud vases. They're all different. I just pulled a few
different sizes to make sure there's like variety here. These candlestick holders, which are so
pretty. I love these, and honestly, I can't wait to keep them for after the wedding because they're
so pretty. I do like that they're different heights, so it'll add some dimension. Tea lights,
and then I also have a bunch of these back at home in my parents' house, and then I also have
taller votives, probably around this height that we'll be using, around tandem that I thrifted.
This will give us a good idea. I have the flowers from Trader Joe's. Florals are going to be
neutral, so I went with some neutral options. Candlesticks I have here are from Amazon as well.
I just finished up. I feel like it looks good. I'm afraid that there's a little bit too much of
ribbed glass and not enough texture. The taller votives that I have, which I feel like are going
to add a little bit more height. I think overall it looks good. I mean, I'm glad I picked the
flowers that I did from Trader Joe's because these little like sprigs kind of give it some movement
and life, and like I'm trying to go for that whimsical look. I am not digging the flowers
myself. I'm sure the florist will do a much better job than I did. I kind of wish these were like
a little bit more varied in height. I think they look really good, so that was fun. I have my hair
cut in an hour. My bridal trial is next week, and they want like fresh cut hair because it's easier
to style, I guess. So this is my naturally curly hair. I don't wear it like this often, especially
in the summer when it's hot, like it just gets really frizzy. I'm gonna do something a little
bit different. I usually ask for long layers, face frame, and I'm just going to ask for my face frame
to be a little bit shorter because for the wedding, I want to have like two front pieces,
two shorter front pieces, and right now I don't have short front pieces. You can imagine the
Delaney Childs updo. I kind of want those two front pieces, but I don't have anything short
enough. We're gonna go like pretty short with the face frame, curl the front pieces, and then they
can be like short. I might even like have them back, but I still want to have the option. That's
what I'm doing for my haircut, but I will obviously come back when when I get my hair cut, and Milo
is originally gonna get his haircut a few weeks from now, but they just called this morning and
they have an opening, so I'm gonna go walk him over to his haircut and then go to my haircut.
We will have a nice haircut. I'm really excited. My hair is done. I love it so much. She did such
a good job. I asked her to do like the little shortened pieces, and I think they're the perfect
length. By the time I have my wedding, they'll probably be a little bit longer, but when they're
curled, I think it'll be the perfect length, and then the layers she did look so good. I just love the way
she cuts it and blows it out, and she thins it out a little bit because my hair is pretty thick. I just
like am obsessed with how she cuts my hair. It's so good. It just looks so good, and Milo got his haircut.
He's eating his food. I was gonna do my nails, but honestly, I'm so exhausted from having to
take Milo to his haircut. I walked all the way, and then I just ran to go grab him with Ben.
There he is. I kind of want to enjoy the pool one more time before I am at home for like a whole
week and a half, so I'm gonna hold off on my nails. I think I might do them a little bit later. I also
like want to pack and stuff and not have like long nails having to like pack and everything. I love
my hair. So excited.
