get back into routine with me �� workout routine, cafe work day, quality time w/ my mom and baking!

Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel, another day, another vlog. Don't mind me, I just did a little outfit change, I just switched sweaters because I'm indecisive. But yeah, anyway, as you can see behind me, the weather is not cute, it's very cloudy, it's been raining the past few days. You guys know me and the weather, if the sun is not shining on my face, my mood is just not as happy. And whenever the weather's like this, I tend to just hole up in my apartment and just stay in my apartment. But today I figured I would grab my journal and my laptop and I'd do some work outside and force myself to be outside because I've honestly been holing up in my apartment the last few days and so, it is time to get outside. I have a whole list of cafes that I really want to hit that I haven't tried yet. So we're going to go through that list and hit a cafe together, get some work done and start the day off right. Alright, so let's go. Alrighty guys, so I chose a cafe out of the saved list that I have. It's called Fast Times. I saw it on TikTok and it was going viral because apparently it's really cute, it's in Soho, it's a good place to work from. We're going to try it there, hopefully, fingers crossed it's not crowded because cafes in New York, man, it'd be crowded. And the last cafe I went to in the last vlog, remember guys, if you're a real one to watch, they charged me, it was like $10 to work at that cafe, which is insane. I was just so taken aback that they charged me that I just paid it. But I think now that I know cafes be doing that, I'm going to make sure that they did not charge me. Because what? Alrighty, vlog, so your girl just finished doing some work at the cafe. I also did some journaling, had myself a little day, but now I'm about to head to do some errands. I have a few things to return, some things I've been procrastinating returning for the longest time. I feel like whenever I'm with you guys vlogging, I always get motivation to do the things that I'm procrastinating. I don't know, you guys help me a lot, like you don't realize. You guys say that I motivate you, you motivate me. Thank you. Guess what your girl has? A brand new Young Ailee for her package. Perfect timing because I'm actually about to get ready to go to the gym, had a little night workout because I haven't worked out yet today and I just received her in the mail. I'm always like, it's such a sign when I get new gym clothes, just when I'm about to work out because it just gives me that extra motivation to work out. I'm so excited to show you guys this new drop because Young Ailee for her eight with these new pieces. I figured we'd do a little try on haul together and also pick my gym outfit for tonight. We've got a lot to go through. So okay, first outfit, we're starting off strong. Miss Pika is part of the outfit. First of all, I had to try this one on first because look at this pink color. I'm just going to give us a second. I love it. You guys already know I love me a matching set and Young Ailee for her always has the best sets. TMI, it feels like I'm wearing nothing because it literally feels like butter. I love this crop jacket. It's so cute. I feel like this is like the perfect Pilates pink and I would love to go to a Pilates class in this outfit. I feel like it's so cute. It has this little hood too. This set just makes me feel like the cutest girly pop ever. These are their new fold over pants. I love a good fold over pants, you guys already know. I am going to be wearing this all the time. Catch me in this all the time. I love it. Okay. I thought the pink was cute. Look at this gray color. I love it. You guys know if I like something, I have to get it in every color that they have. And this gray color is so cute. I love that you could work out in it, but also just lounge around in it. I would definitely wear this to like a Pilates class or a hocker walk, but also just regular day to day because this is just so cute. So cute. I promise this is the last one. It's the same matching set, but in the black color. This set is giving. Yeah. It snatches you in, honey. This is just me. I love a fold over style. I feel like it's just so much more flattering than a regular non fold over pan. I feel like it adds a little something. I actually haven't even seen this zipped all the way. Oh, I kind of like that. Low key. I love all black fits because it makes me feel like a ninja. And when I work out, it just makes me feel like I'm on a mission. You know, this might be the winner for tonight's workout. Okay. Next we got this like electric blue color sports bra and matching shorts. This blue color is insane. I love it. I'm literally obsessed with it. This style is so cute to me personally. So this sports bra is actually a bandeau top. So it doesn't have any straps or anything. You can wear it with just like this, but personally for me, I like it with the jacket better. This is a look. Okay. This is the same thing, but in the pink color. I think I like the pink even better than the blue. I feel like Barbie with this pink on. By the way, these shorts, I feel like are at the perfect length and they're so comfortable, like amazing and squat proof, which we love. I don't know. This is so hard. Should I wear this to work out? I'm between the all black fit and this one because this pink is, she's so cute. Young and Late for Her, they did their thing with this one. Okay. I'm a little indecisive. Guys, there's something so peaceful and blissful about walking to the gym at night because there's not that many people outside and it's just like the city lights. It's a vibe. Okay. So one of the little hacks that I like to do is my gym actually has multiple locations and I choose to go to the one that's farther from my apartment just so that before my workout, I can get kind of like a warm up in. That way when I get to the gym, I'm already warmed up. My body's warmed up. So yeah, a little hack. Alrighty guys, I wanted to show you this little surprise that I have for my mom, but really quickly let me explain. Those of you who have seen my relationship with my mom, you guys probably know that she's literally my favorite person in this entire world. She has sacrificed everything for me and she's just always been the best, most hardworking, selfless mom. And you know, she spends a lot of time here. She sleeps over a lot. I thought I'd do something kind of sweet for her. So whenever my mom comes over, you guys have probably seen my mom using my vanity. It is honestly the cutest thing. She's my mom, but she's still a girl at heart. And you know, growing up, my mom always never took care of herself. She's always sacrificing and giving to us like her kids. One of the things I noticed is that she never had like a vanity before, a place for just her herself as a girly to do her girly things. And so every time I saw her use my vanity, I always thought to myself, I really want to get my mom a vanity. Whenever I try to gift her anything, give her money, she's always like, Oh no, it's okay. I don't need it. But it doesn't matter because she's getting it anyway. And I figured I would surprise her with her very own vanity whenever she stays in my apartment. Here's the vanity. I know it's in the box, but it's so pretty. I cannot wait to show you. So basically I always had this like empty corner in my room and the vanity you just saw used to be in this corner right here. But since I moved it to my office, now I just have this big empty space to just work with. And so I thought that I would have her vanity in this corner right here. But yeah, you and I both know that this is not something that I can build myself. So I just hired a task rabbit to come. He's about to be here in like five, 10 minutes and he's going to build this whole thing. And I cannot wait to show you guys my mom's reaction when I show it to her. I'm so excited. It is officially been built. I'm obsessed. This vanity is actually even bigger than mine. But isn't it so gorgeous? I literally cannot wait to show her. Mom, it's yours. Mine? Yeah. Really? Yeah. Did you make this for me? Wow. This is mine. Right? That's why I got it. Isn't it so pretty? Mom, you never had a vanity before. Right? This is so pretty. You like this? It's pretty. You like it? We're here on Hawker Walk on the West Side Highway. Sun is setting soon. So we came to see the sunset. And we might bike too. Guys, it's been a minute since I rode a bike. So I'm a little shaky. How was bike riding in the city for the first time? It was so fun. She did good. Good job, mama. Okay, I wanted to show you guys something that I have for this room for some decoration. But it's very special to me because it's something that I've had since I was, I think, 19 years old. Ta-da. It's this sign. The real ones who've been watching my videos for a long, long time, you guys definitely remember this sign. It's this Do What You Love neon sign. I've had it since I started YouTube. And back when I was living with my parents and I was like a broke college student, having this dream of YouTube, I had this hanging up in my room. That room had no windows. Okay. And so there was like barely any light coming in. And so having this neon sign, I remember I would always have it on. Just have some light. It was like a big ball. So it would really inspire me. Just see the saying, do what you love. It always, I don't know, kind of motivated me. It was still hanging up in that room. I asked my mom before she came to take it down so that she could bring it here. And I thought this would be the perfect decor for this room specifically because this wall right here, she's a little plain Jane. Let's hang her up together. You know what's funny? Anytime I hang stuff up, I never like calculate it and measure it to make sure it's perfect. Every time I've hung up anything in my apartment, I was winging it. Girl bossing, you know? Does this look centered? I think so. Right? I think that's centered. Love guesstimating. Is that too high, guys? Help me out. This is also being hung up by very questionable command strips that are very old. But YOLO. Moment of truth. Three, two, one. Ah, it's so cute. What do you guys think? She's a vibe. I love the fact that I've had this for so many years. And now it's following me from apartment to apartment. I know neon signs are not everyone's cup of tea. I personally love it. And I feel like with the city lights, it's a vibe. Woo, Pika seems to like the sign. Yay. The sign is Pika approved. Okay, I want to save this memory forever, especially because Pika is so cute. She's literally just sitting here watching the sign. Oh my gosh, how cute. I'm going to add it to my cat's cove. I take a million photos of my cats, but it's all scattered around my camera roll. So cove helps me save all my memories of my cats in this one folder, which I love. Yeah, this is just a memory I want to keep forever. How cute is this? Alrighty, y'all. So I'm craving a little dessert, a little sweet treat. So I'm going to make some cookies. These are sweet Loren's fudgy brownie cookie dough. And I'm going to make it in my little Easy-Bake oven. It's not actually an Easy-Bake oven. If you don't know what an Easy-Bake oven is, it's actually an oven for kids to make little bakery stuff. And when I was a kid growing up, I really, really wanted an Easy-Bake oven like so bad. I feel like this is kind of the adult version of that. Look how cute. This is from the brand called Our Place. And the amazing thing about this is it also air fries your stuff too. We're going to let her pre-eat a little. Isn't it like an Easy-Bake oven? This is just the fun adult version of that. Hello, sir. You're in my seat. Okay, I guess we're going to sit together. You're not going to scooch even a little bit? He is not moving. Okay, anyway, while we let the cookies bake, I figured I'd do a little bit of my skincare while we wait because I'm about to head to bed. By the way, before I start any skincare, I always like to do a little red light therapy. It's really good for your skin, good for anti-aging, acne marks, etc. This one is from Dr. Dennis Gross. It makes me kind of look like Iron Man, but it's fine. I remember the first time I put this on, the cats got scared. Like I was trying to pet them and they wouldn't let me pet them. I mean, this does look really scary. I'll proceed in talking once this is finally finished. It turns off after a few minutes. Okay, now that the red light is done, I'm about to do some toner. Mia, how are you guys? How are you guys doing? I feel like the neon sign being behind me is kind of a vibe. What do you guys think? Okay, after this, I'm going to use some toner pads. I've been using these most nights and I love it. It comes with a little, cute little tweezer so you can pick up the pads. Keep it clean, keep it cute. Guys, you know what's so funny? My brother just sent me a video of me back when I was in college. I was pursuing YouTube really hard. I guess my brother was going through his old photos and videos and he came across this video. Okay, I'll put it here. Basically, what I'm doing is I'm carrying my laundry and a bunch of groceries. I'm carrying all that up five flights of stairs. My brother took this video and he was like, You know, you're going to look back on this video when you make it and be really grateful that you started from very humble beginnings and be appreciative. And he found this video randomly and he sent it to me. That was from March 2022 when I was in college. I was really trying to pursue YouTube, but I had no idea if it would actually succeed. Like, I was actually very unsure of myself. He also sent me this photo of me looking so stressed trying to edit. Look at that face. It's giving stress the hell out. By the way, it looks like Leo's still not here, but he is still back here hanging out with us. But yeah, anyway, I feel like I talk a lot about my past with you guys. You know, where I came from, how I started. But the reason why I do that is because I remember seeing other YouTubers that I look up to or other influencers that I look up to and they have what seems like such an amazing life. They seem perfect. Pause. I think the cookies are done. Oh my gosh, guys, this smells so good. But we have to let it cool before I can eat it. So let's go back to doing skincare. Leo's so loyal. Loyal little boy. Anyway, what was I talking about? Oh, so I remember watching the people that I look up to, all the influencers that I look up to, living such a cool life. And they seem to be perfect and have everything together. They're gorgeous. Their bodies are perfect. They're super fit. They live in a cool place. Just are living the dream life. And I would look at that and be like, wow, that is so inspiring, but also seems so unattainable to me. Girl, I do not come from money like at all. My parents immigrated here from South Korea. They were undocumented immigrants. I come from very humble beginnings. This type of life, living in even this apartment is just something that I never, I never even thought was possible. I never thought that I could live my dream life too. I just hope that you guys see my story and see my life. And it inspires you because if I could tell myself anything, it would be to continue, continue working hard and to believe in myself. Some of you guys might be in that position right now where you need to hear these words of encouragement. I know that that video that I showed you of me, I definitely needed to hear words of encouragement because I was very doubtful. So yeah, you, whoever you are, you watching this, I'm telling you whatever you set your mind to, whatever it is, whether you want to be the best version of yourself, you want to be successful and take care of your family. If you want to study super hard, go to your dream school, get your dream job, whatever it is, I know that you can do it. As long as you believe in yourself and your mindset and your habits all align to that goal, you can achieve it. I always thought you needed to be a special type of person or come from a certain background to achieve a certain level of success, but that is not true. And I hope you know that I believe in you. I hope you guys feel that through the screen. Okay, I'm going to take these toner pads off. Before I take them off though, I always like rub it into my skin so that my skin just soaks it up. Let my skin soak that in. And then I'm going to go with the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. Add a little more moisture. But yeah, guys, in my last vlog, I opened up a little bit towards the end about some things that I was dealing with. For the first time, I opened up a little bit about my family struggles with you guys, specifically about an addict in my family, an alcoholic in my family. And I was really unsure of me saying that in my vlog, but I just felt like I had to because it was just weighing so heavy on my heart and my life. I don't even know what I was expecting, but I was just not expecting so many of you to be so, so caring, so thoughtful, so understanding of my situation. And a lot of you guys, I was so surprised going through the same thing. And I was just so shocked at the responses from you guys. I was reading every single comment. And honestly, if that taught me anything, it's that we are all humans at the end of the day that just go through things. And, you know, compassion goes a long way. Seeing your guys' comments honestly made me tear up and really encouraged me. I need to open up more to you guys about things that I've been just keeping to myself. And that's honestly the point of having a relationship, having friends, having each other, a community where we can feel comfortable sharing these things. Thank you guys, honestly, for listening to me yap and vent and make me feel comfortable even sharing that with you guys. It was definitely a very vulnerable moment for me. But now I feel so much more comfortable with you guys. I feel like you know me so much more. Having an addict in the family, it's no joke, especially when it's one of your parents. It is something I never opened up about and shared with anyone because I felt so much shame and I felt so much hurt by it. It really affected my childhood a lot. And this person, my family caused a lot of pain and suffering and havoc on the rest of the family members. And I just remember when I was young, I would just stay up at night and pray and pray and pray about this family member, that they would change, that they would stop. I would pray and be like, I cannot wait until I get older, get out of this house and don't have to deal with it anymore. Being independent and financially stable for myself has been a huge change in how I've dealt with this family member because before I used to feel so trapped and I used to feel so unstable whenever they would act out and abandon us. I used to feel so powerless when dealing with this family member, but now that I am independent and financially stable, thanks to you guys, I can provide myself and my other family members so much more support and love. And that's just something that I, I just so, so appreciate from you guys. Just know guys, I feel so much closer to you guys after sharing that with you. You know, I shared with you guys in my last vlog, I'm trying to be more independent, spending a lot more time on my own, but I've also been spending so much time with my mom and it's been so great. I've been loving just spoiling her and treating her. Having her here with me has just made my heart so full and she loves you guys. She watches every video, by the way, every single video she's watching right now, even though she doesn't understand everything, she reads every single comment. Mama lifts, loves and appreciates you guys too. Okay, skincare is done. I know, look, I look a little crazy.
