Welcome back sa Free Thinking Pinoy Channel. Panuorin ang 12 dambuhalang baka na ngayon mo lang mapapanuod (Largest Cattle Breed in the World) Ito ang mga Baka na sobrang laki, halos kasing bigat na nila ang mga Hippopotamus.
1. BELGIAN BLUE,
A cow that's as big as a human and a bull that's as big as a mussel?
Those are just a few of the giant bulls that you're about to see.
But before we start, make sure to subscribe to the Freethinking Pinoy channel.
This is a YouTube channel dedicated to Filipinos who are fond of animals and exploring new knowledge.
I'm your host, Nomer, and let's get started.
Number 1, Belgian Blue
At first glance, you'd think that this cow has been injected with steroids or body-enhancing drugs.
In fact, this type of body is normal to their breed.
This body is full of muscle fibers or gene mutation, which is why it has double muscling.
The Belgian Blue came from Belgium in the 19th century, and they were bred for their meat and milk.
It's normal for their bones to be large compared to the bones of a normal cow.
However, their muscles are 20% larger than that of an ordinary cow.
Because of this, a lot of people who have tasted Belgian Blue's meat
will prove that its meat is full of chewing gum.
This is probably Arnold Schwarzenegger in the world of bulls.
It's a good idea to drink its milk if you want to grow a body.
Number 2, Texas Longhorn
This breed of cow came from Texas, USA, and is known for having a very long trunk.
It can weigh from 1,400 to 2,500 pounds.
Their thin trunk can reach up to 120 inches in length.
Breeders love to raise Texas Longhorns because it's easy to breed.
However, because of the size of their trunks, they need a large cage.
Sometimes, because of the weight of their trunks, it's hard for them to find the right balance.
Like this one who was caught in the water to see his trunks.
Number 3, Brahman Bull
If this is your first time seeing this breed, you might think that they are edited or have camera tricks.
The breed of Brahman Bull came from India and is slowly gaining popularity in other countries
like the USA, Brazil, and even here in the Philippines.
According to cattle raisers, it's good to raise Brahman Bull because it's not easy to catch a parasitic cow
which is one of the problems of farmers.
The tolerance of Brahman Bull is also high because of the hot weather.
That's why it's good to raise in a hot country like the Philippines.
It's easy to recognize because of the skin on its neck and the hump on its back
which is made by a reserve of fat and food.
But for this big bull, does it really need a reserve of food?
Number 4, Kianina
Of all cattle breeds, Kianina is considered to be the biggest breed of cow.
It's 68 inches tall and weighs 2,800 pounds.
In 1955, the world's largest Kianina was recorded to weigh 3,836 pounds.
It's just a little bit heavier than the Rhinoceros.
Even though this breed has a big body and long legs, their horns are a bit small.
It's also fat and doesn't easily spread by humans.
To keep their meat good, the Kianina is just boiled until it becomes a delicious corned beef.
Mmm, yummy!
Number 5, Glan Bull
They are one of the oldest breeds of cow in the world which started in the 18th century.
Their size ranges from 140 to 145 centimeters and weighs 1,000 to 1,200 kilograms.
Since this breed became popular, they were used to produce meat and milk.
They are also said to be able to produce 4,450 liters of milk per lactation even in extreme heat.
That's why they are a great source of nutrition and income.
They are also quick to adapt to changing climates.
Their meat and milk are good, but it's hard to breed them and it's easy to get pregnant.
Because of this, only a few farmers take care of Glan Bull.
In fact, it's almost extinct.
Number 6, South Devon
If you're looking for a beautiful bull, South Devon is for you.
This is a British breed cattle that came from South West England and was exported to North America.
Their beautiful and curly hair is brown, while their nose and mouth is pink, which is really beautiful to look at.
They are taken care of because of their quality of meat and milk.
South Devon is a large bull with a height of 152 centimeters and a weight ranging from 1,150 to 1,250 pounds.
These cows are rich, which is why they are also called gentle giants.
But no matter how rich and kind the cows are, we know where they are usually brought to the market.
Number 7, Partenay
This is one of the oldest breeds of bulls that originated in France.
Females of Partenay are known for their quality of milk, while bulls have enough strength to be used in farming.
Farmers love Partenay because of their beautiful body and the structure of their bones.
They also have red and dark brown skin.
Partenay can weigh up to 2,600 pounds.
Even though they are only 6 months old, they already weigh up to 44 kilograms.
Like the Belgian Blue, they also have double muscling that fits their tall and slender bodies.
This is also the lowest cholesterol count in all breeds of cows.
That's why you'll get dizzy when you see a cow like this.
Number 8, Limousine
This is not the best type of car, but it is one of the best types of cows in the world.
It is called Limousine following the province of Limousine, France where it originated.
This is the second most popular breed of cow in France, but one of the rarest due to its small population.
A limousine can weigh up to 1,300 kilograms and is 5 feet tall.
Their skin is reddish and has a head that is too small but has a wide head.
In fact, you can land an airplane on their head.
Number 9, Galloway
At first glance, you will be afraid to approach this cow.
They have a large and muscular body, strong legs, and hard nails.
This breed originated in Scotland in the 17th century and was first exported to Canada and the USA in 1853.
Galloway has a height of 4.4 feet and a weight of 2.3 tons.
Their hair is thick and curly, but you will recognize them faster because of the white line in the middle of their body.
It looks like the skin pattern of the Malayan Tapir.
According to its breeders, this cattle is very kind and if you are cornered by a Galloway, you just have to stop it and it will leave far away from you.
Galloways are good and kind, unlike other cows that know martial arts.
Number 10, Charolais
This is a French-Turin beef cattle breed.
They are the most common for meat production and can also be cross-breed with Angus and Hereford.
Charolais is the second largest breed of cow in France.
They are exported to Brazil, South Africa, and Argentina.
They also mature quickly and their weight reaches 2,000 to 2,500 pounds and increases by 5 feet.
Charolais are white cows with a pink mouth, long body, and not yet fed by a calf.
It is also rich in humans.
That's why many people around the world love to raise cows.
What do you think?
Is it more delicious to raise cows or make meat and meatballs?
Let me know in the comment section.
Number 11, Angus
This cow became famous because of the deliciousness of their meat that can be sold for 3,000 pesos per kilo.
The price of Angus meat is surprising.
But it is more surprising if you can see the Angus cattle up close.
It can weigh 900 kilos and is 4.7 feet tall.
The expensive Angus beef originated in Scotland
and now you can find Angus meat in every corner of the world.
For the price of this cow, I think this is the cow I want to raise.
Number 12, Pinsgower
This is the last on our list of giant bulls.
Pinsgower breeds are called endangered animals
because of the continuous cross-breeding that farmers do with this cow.
Because of the cross-breeding, only 5% of the total population of Pinsgower
remains pure or has no other species.
Lastly on our list, Pinsgower does not lose in terms of size.
It can weigh 1 ton and is 4.5 feet tall.
It also has a tongue that is 1 foot long.
And now, let's move on to our shoutout portion.
