I think everyone has sort of a radar when it comes to good design and when you see something
that's designed well and if you see something that's thoughtfully designed, you sort of have
that peace and then you you're able to relax, you're able to appreciate things better. So I
think that that sort of radar is within everyone. Hi I'm Dustin. I'm June and welcome to View Beach
Cabins. So View Beach Cabins is our vacation home here in Pulinao, Pangasinan and we built it
for ourselves and we wanted to share basically our experience here in Pulinao with other folks
who wants to make the road trip that we love doing here in Pulinao. Both of us, we love driving, we
love adventure, we love traveling, so we really wanted View to be a road trip. You know the type
where you can pack up your SUV, take your family and then pass, you know, very interesting places.
On the way here, you pass 100 islands, you pass a couple of caves, you have the waterfalls,
you know, it's really an adventure and it's almost like camping. So we wanted
West Philippine Sea. It's beautiful, it has golden sand and you have direct access to the beach.
We wanted it to blend with the place. So when you look at it, it's all green
felt so right, no? I mean, it just felt so nice. It felt peaceful. It just felt,
I don't know, like it was so welcoming. I guess it was different, no? It was a combination of
beach and the mountainside. And when we decided to finally build here, we just wanted to
build something that didn't disturb what we had originally felt.
So we didn't want to build something that would be so obtrusive, like a big building. So we wanted
it flat. In fact, we were deciding if we were going to have more accommodations or more space.
We finally decided that space would be the most important. If you can see, each cabin is
angled specifically 35 degrees because that's how we could fit it in this space, how each cabin can
have their own view. So even if you were in the back, you still have an unobstructed view of West
Philippine Sea. Also, it had to be exactly 35 so that we have space for the size of the pool that
we wanted our guests to have. It was also important for them to have their privacy so
the distances are quite far between each cabin. If you're seated on your porch, you'll just see
the ones that are across from you, but it feels very private. You can't see the ones behind you,
and even the other ones behind you can't see you. We didn't want to put anything that can't be used,
everything so that the guests are comfortable, so that we are comfortable. Should you choose to
completely open the sliding doors, for example, which some do, especially a lot of our yoga
guests, they want it all open, no air con. You can do so and still have protection from
so you'll never hear us say the word, let's say luxury. It's comfortable. That's what we want
for ourselves and for our guests, so hopefully they feel it too.
