So today I offer you a recipe that will surprise you.
Homemade burger buns without gluten-free flour, made with only three ingredients.
It is a perfect alternative if you are looking for flour-free bread for your homemade burgers,
whether you are gluten intolerant or you just want a lighter meal.
So no need for a special mixture or complicated gluten-free flour to find.
I start by pouring 150 grams of powdered milk, preferably homemade, into a salad bowl.
That way you know exactly what's in there.
Then I add a teaspoon of baking powder.
You could do without, but in those cases the buns would remain very flat,
so I still prefer to warn you.
Then I whip manually, which also allows you to sift the powder without any effort.
Then I add my three large eggs.
I start whisking and I finish with a spoon.
And that's it, it's that simple.
I now take my individual tartlet molds, about 7 to 8 cm in diameter.
I generously oil them, then I remove the excess by pouring them over the oil pot.
I fill my molds with the burger dough and with this recipe you get three buns.
And a little trick, of course, to smooth the top, I moisten a teaspoon with a little warm water.
And so it doesn't stick and it works every time.
And there, it's completely optional, but to remind the real burger bun,
I sprinkle some sesame seeds.
Head to the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for 13 minutes.
And here are some beautiful little buns, well inflated, ultra soft, airy and ultra fluffy.
You may be wondering, can we freeze these homemade burger buns?
Well yes, you can freeze them, then toast them and garnish them like a traditional burger,
or even use them in a sandwich version.
And a little trick, as powdered milk brings a natural sweetness,
you can also use them in a sweet version, a bit like little brioches,
with, for example, jam, honey or chocolate.
So for today, I'm going to garnish them with mustard, rocket, slices of tomato,
slices of gouda, minced steak, onions, pickles and a little ketchup.
But you can also imagine a vegetarian version with pesto,
grilled zucchini, mozzarella or a fresh version with grilled chicken,
with yogurt sauce, lemon and crunchy salad.
These gluten-free, gluten-free burger buns are really practical,
quick to make, easy to store, perfect for an improvised meal
or even for your home burger parties.
Frankly, it's a guaranteed success at the table.
And you tell me, do you prefer to cook buns from minute to the last minute,
or freeze them in advance to save time?
Can't wait to read your answer in the comments and while I wait,
all I have left to do is wish you a delicious tasting!
