The day that that stuff came out, we were filming a scene and I couldn't stop staring
at your mouth.
I was like, wow!
Hi, I'm Loli Collins.
And I'm Ashley Park.
And today we're going to let Elle ask us anything.
Okay.
When did you know we would become best friends?
Oh my god.
I think I knew the second that our mutual agent.
Kevin.
Yeah.
Yes, yeah.
He called me and he said, okay, so I have this amazing client, she's going for Mindy.
I can't speak highly enough about her.
Here are the reasons why I love her.
I think you're going to love her.
And I love Kevin.
And so I was like, whoever Kevin is vouching for, I know.
And the way that he was speaking about you, I was like, I have this feeling that life
is going to imitate art.
And I just kind of knew.
And then when we met at the table read, I was like, oh, done deal.
I knew that we were going to be like really connected and close as soon as we met.
And I think our first day on set was really like our first time hanging out.
Like it was my first time really in that like kind of high stakes environment.
And you were just so there for me.
And I was like, oh, this is going to be like a soul sister best friend who's looking out
for me always.
So yeah.
What is your most embarrassing on set story?
I mean, not embarrassing.
I think before me and Paul started dating, like the weekend of, Lily took me aside and
was like, what's going on with you two?
And I was like, nothing, Lily, like, trust me, nothing, I'm a professional.
And then like and then we started dating and I was like, I've lied to Lily the entire time.
It's embarrassing because Lily was like, Ashley, I know you.
I know you so well.
And I was like, Lily, you apparently don't.
Yeah, you don't know me very well at all.
You definitely know me better than I know myself.
Which of Emily's love interests is your favorite and least favorite?
I mean, I don't know.
That's like.
You had like a bunch, season one.
I would say the poetic guy that I met at Café de Fleur, where I told to like, bloop, at
the opera house.
I would probably say that that was my least favorite.
That character, yeah.
Yeah, that character.
I mean, he was lovely, but like the character.
And then I would say favorite, that's like, I mean, isn't that the question?
Isn't that the question?
I would say a favorite that's like so not about like who she's going to end up with
or whatever.
When we were on there was that one love interest, first season, he was like, I like American
s**t.
Oh my God.
That guy was so funny.
No, you know what's actually, which I think we all enjoy like laughing through our scenes
is Timothée.
Oh, Timothée.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
He's such a great actor.
He's so funny.
And he opens our season four.
Yeah, he opens our season four.
And like, honestly, all of our scenes with Camille's family are so funny.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And like the attempts that he makes towards Emily are hilarious.
We have fun like sparring back and forth.
Definitely a favorite to watch.
Yeah.
If you could raid the JVMA brand closet in real life, what would you grab first?
Oh, it's really fun to throw that, it really is.
I always gravitate towards shoes first.
Shoes and purses.
Oh, yeah.
Was this me or like Mindy?
No.
Me?
I think honestly something like pretty versatile, like that I could pair with everything.
There was a pair of like Versace shoes that I was like, okay, that's like, that was the
first thing I picked up.
Nice.
And some like Valentino pumps too.
Yeah.
I think I would always go towards a purse.
It's just the way my mind works.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I love bags.
It's not kryptonite, bags, all sizes.
What advice would you give to someone stuck in a love triangle?
Don't make it a square.
I mean, yeah, don't make things more complicated.
I don't know.
Always just go back to yourself and listen to yourself and don't let yourself be highly
impacted, influenced by outside sources.
It depends on what part of the triangle you're into.
It depends on if you're the point of it and there's two people after you or if you're
one of the other ends of it.
Like the other side.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It does.
It's true, actually.
Situational.
What is the most iconic Eurovision song?
Windows 95 Man, like epic performance.
He strategically covered himself the entire performance, but on camera it looked like
he was naked and it was just the most like iconic Eurovision moment.
Wait, I gotta see it.
I mean, it was so funny.
Kyle Hanagami, who's a friend of mine, he choreographed on our show this year.
He choreographed the winning Eurovision artist, Chanel, like a couple of years ago.
And that was like the most iconic performance I've ever seen.
Oh my god, Eurovision is no joke.
How did you perfect your character's scream face in Maxine?
Oh, funny story.
Oh my god, your mouth is huge.
Yeah, well she did say that to me.
But have you seen?
No, that's not what I was going to say.
What I was going to say is, so my director, Ty West, he said to me, so we're thinking
of doing this with your scream and it's going to become a head and we need to make sure
that the scream is perfected and I need to know what it's going to look like because
we're going to do a digital scan and blah, blah, blah.
He's like, can you just send me some selfies, but you weren't what you were thinking.
And I'm like, okay, how do you do that?
So I sat on a chair and I was like, ahhh.
I was by myself in my house, but I took selfies of myself screaming.
It was so weird.
People think that poster, that photo of her is somehow computerized in some way.
That's just my mouth.
Her mouth is really big, I guess.
I don't know.
The day that that stuff came out, we were filming a scene and I couldn't stop staring
at your mouth.
I was like, wow.
How would you describe Meryl Streep's presence in one word?
There's so many words.
The first word that popped in my head was effervescent.
Oh, that's a great word.
Oh, great.
Then that's what it is.
It's a great word.
What's one proper wardrobe piece you've taken from set?
Oh, there was this fuzzy purse season one that I loved, but the only reason I really
loved it is that it was an emotional support animal when Ashley wrapped and left.
Oh my god, I didn't know that.
So the purse sat on my chair and I called it Ashley because it was my little thing I
would pet.
You have to tell me that.
I still have it.
It's in my closet.
Oh my god, I love it.
Wait, I love it.
Okay.
What does a date night in Paris with Paul consist of?
Oh, probably, well, this past year my health wasn't great, so we would do Deliveroo a lot
and sit on the couch and watch a lot of movies and stuff.
That's so sweet.
Yeah, we're very Netflix and chill.
Netflix.
But probably just walking around and finding a new restaurant that's gluten-free.
Because he's celiac.
What real-life celebrity should Emily take on as a client?
Ooh.
She doesn't need my help, but I would take on Victoria Beckham.
Oh, love that.
Like, doesn't need my help.
She's killing it.
But, like, I really would be down.
That'd be fun.
I would love to see what, like, Emily would do with that.
It would just be a dream.
Or David.
We could market David's honey.
Honey?
David Beckham makes honey.
I didn't even know that, and there you go.
He keeps bees, and we could maybe, you know, help with the honey.
Love it.
Keep it in the family.
A little sweet.
Which of Mindy's musical performances was the most fun to film?
This year?
Definitely in Rome.
That was special.
And also, that musical moment was my rapping scene.
It was magical.
You're so good at that.
And it was a beautiful location.
It was with you, and it felt very, like...
It was very emotional.
It was really emotional.
If you could cameo on any other TV show, what would it be?
Ooh.
Honestly, any of the Real Housewives.
Really?
Oh my god, love this.
I thought you were going to say Great British Bake Off.
I would totally, I mean, totally Great British Bake Off.
But like, honestly, I'd pop into any Housewife.
Oh my god, you heard it here.
Someone, someone get her.
If blank was an Olympic sport, I'd win a gold medal.
Oh, I mean, I wish it would be.
I'm really into gardening these days.
You are.
But I would not be a gold medal.
We're like, not even in bronze category.
Your pesto is great.
Thank you.
Yeah, prized pesto.
Yeah, I like gardening these days.
But that's probably not it, yeah.
I thought you were asking about you.
I was like, honestly, what would I win?
I was going to say, I don't know, it's not you, but I just thought of Charlie playing pickleball.
And I was like thinking about how me and Paul.
No, I suck at pickleball.
We've been playing pickleball and we were like, why isn't this an Olympic sport?
Well, that's your answer.
I would not win gold.
Maybe napping in public places.
Maybe you would like, place.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
What's one fashion trend you regret participating in?
Ooh, I don't even know if it was a trend, but I trended it.
Like, it wasn't a trend.
Okay, I definitely wore, like, blue metallic lipstick for a while.
What?
With your big screen mouth?
With just every, just with, like, literally every outfit known to man.
And I love blue leopard print, too.
So I have, like, photos of, like, blue leopard print, like, top and, like, pants.
And then, like, blue lipstick.
Like, I need to see these immediately.
Like, frosted.
Yeah.
It's a thing.
It's a whole thing.
Oh my gosh, love that.
Yeah.
And baggy cargos.
I was really into, like, the...
Which I like, but, like...
The mid-half leggings.
Oh, like, Capri?
No, those leggings, like, I had to, like, blue.
Navy.
Did you put them, like, underneath skirts or anything?
Or, like, shirts.
Yeah, I threw them on with everything.
Like, with moon boots, too.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Moon boots!
Oh my God.
Okay.
Yeah.
Okay.
Okay, last question.
What is your go-to karaoke song?
I had never participated in karaoke before Rome.
Because I always was that person, like, people expect you to sing well, and then I was, like,
always in the corner, having the heart-to-heart.
Like, if we went to karaoke, we would be chatting.
Yeah.
In the corner.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, always.
And then, I mean, also, we would definitely do a Spice Girls song.
For sure.
But I ended up...
Nikki, my assistant, had me meet her at an Irish pub in Rome, where it was mostly, like,
stag doos and, like, bachelorette parties and, like, college kids.
And...
What did you sing?
Kelly Clarkson, Since You've Been Gone.
Oh!
That's a banger!
That's a banger.
Didn't sound great.
It was, like...
It's Ashley Park singing, I'm sure, with a banger.
Thanks so much for watching.
