Well we bought another RV! Here is a tour of the new one and a couple of shots of us renovating it. Currently working on some more up to date videos to post soon of our travels so be on the look out for those!
So we decided that we are going to sell our RV because we bought this one. Yay!
So we're downsizing. Let's go inside and do a tour. So this is a 2008 Winnebago View
and it is only 24 feet long so it's 7 feet shorter than our old one. It's built on a
sprinter van chassis so it's like a van but it's more like an RV van crossover. As you can see it
has the slide out right here which is one of the main reasons why we wanted this over a van.
But yeah, obviously we're going to renovate this thing. So here's the kitchen. A lot smaller than
our old one but we're going to do like a new oven, new microwave, paint the cabinets. In our old RV
we got rid of the dinette and the couch. This time we're going to keep the dinette mainly because
there's no place to put a TV in front of us. Still have the same size fridge which is nice. We have
a much smaller bedroom than our old one. Here's our little vanity. It's kind of smaller than our
other one but we probably about have the same amount of storage I would say. Another thing is
we have a full-sized shower. I can still stand up in it. And he's 6'1". Yeah so there's still a lot
space. And there's a closet right here. Oh yeah. I forgot this because this is not my closet
apparently. I can't. Somebody's not sharing. It's my closet. This is actually a lot bigger
mattress than the one back there but we're gonna get rid of it and turn this into a storage area.
I'm gonna make some cabinets or something up here. So this cab is...
It's like I feel like I'm driving a van. It doesn't feel like an RV and that's one of the
reasons why we wanted to get this because the driving fatigue in this is way less than driving
a Class A. So I feel like I could do a six to eight hour day no problem. One of the cool things about
this RV is it has these window shapes built in. So the other one pulls up here and it's magnet
and it sticks together. So it has this one, this one. This RV is going to take us to hopefully Baja
this winter, Alaska in the summer. So we're going to turn this into our home to make those trips
a lot more comfortable. So we're definitely really excited. We immediately began working
and spent the next several weeks taking things out, sanding, painting, and putting in the new
floor. We wanted to get all the big things done before heading home to surprise our families for
the winter. We also had to try and sell our old RV in the Jeep before leaving for Tennessee. Once
the holidays are over, we will finish the renovation and then we will start our 2024 adventures.
We are currently moving out of the big RV and into our new one. We have a lot, a lot of stuff,
a lot more stuff than I think we realized. So we have a lot of downsizing to do.
But we're going to be headed home in the next two days and going to surprise our family.
And we're not, you know, obviously going to tell them, but yeah, we got three days of driving.
So, oh, and we did sell this RV. The buyers are picking it up Friday, which is in a few days. So
after that we're headed home. We also sold our Jeep too, just a few hours ago. So we're down to
two vehicles, but Friday we'll have one vehicle, which is our new RV. And after that we can head
home.
