college move in vlog | room tour, junior year apartment, unpacking + decorating

Hello everyone, the day is here. It's move-in day I can't believe it's been a whole year since I was moving into my sophomore year apartment last year and this year I'm moving into a completely different apartment complex as a junior And so that's crazy to think about that. I'm like halfway done with college already So yeah, I'm going to be a junior at the University of Texas at Austin I'm staying at a 4x4, but I only have one other roommate which is fire I'm trying to keep this short. So I'm trying to think what else we're taking one car My mom and my sister are going to be helping me move in I do live near my college and so that's really good because we're probably gonna have to take two trips. I'm super excited I have everything in the car already packed and loaded. So we're just gonna go ahead and go. We're on the road now getting gas I made it to my apartment complex I'm going to the lobby right now so I can go pick up my keys and then we can start moving in Okay, keys have been acquired And we're finally moving in now So I just brought everything in I'm going to show you guys a really quick empty apartment tour So this is the front door and then on the left here we have the laundry so Dryer and washing machine and then this is the kitchen and living room, which is huge So we have the fridge on the left here and then oven counter space cabinets Ignore all the mess here and then we have our living space and then moving on into my room So I've got my bed window desk and then this is my closet here I don't really know how I want to organize my desk in my bed yet I don't know if I want to move it around or not. So keep watching to see those I'll be linking a bunch of stuff in the description box below It's such a game-changer for crossing things off your list and actually setting up a space that feels like you and with that Thank you again to Walmart for sponsoring today's video stressed because I don't know where to start But I think I'm gonna go ahead and unpack my suitcases and start on the closet So I can start getting my clothes into the closet and then also into the dresser But first I'm gonna go ahead and wash my bed sheets and do bake covers Let me show you guys so far on what the closet situation looks like the right side I have like my tanks and all like my basics that I'll be wearing to class and then on the left side I have like a couple kind of winter clothes here So I have my dresses in the back and then here's some crewnecks sweatshirt fleece jackets And then these are like more summer wear and then I also my tennis dresses I don't know if I want to like put my pants up here because right now I have my pants in this dresser but I'm starting to think that I have too many pants and also I don't have anywhere to put like my Underwear and bra and socks and stuff and so I might just go ahead and do that there and then move all my pants up Here. So yeah progress is being made but very very slowly That's where we're at right now. My duvet covers and my bed sheets are being washed and hopefully whenever that's done I'll be done with my closet so then I can start putting things on the bed Okay, I'm gonna start setting up my bed sheets and my bedding now These are the same bed sheets and duvet cover that I used last year. So we're using them for this year as well Closet is still a work in progress, but I put like all my pants up there So I might jeans and stuff so I think that looks a lot better and it's also a little bit more space efficient Okay, actually I changed my mind before we do bedding I'm gonna go ahead and put on this lantern up on my ceiling because this was such a hassle trying to do it last year I just finished setting up my bed. This is what it looks like I am gonna have a throw blanket on top of this so that's gonna come in soon And then I have my lantern up there. I don't know if it's too low or not if I want to put it lower I'm breaking the rule about like the no outside clothes on the bed because I'm just so tired I have to lay down and now I think I'm gonna go ahead and tackle the restroom There's a bunch of things that are in the boxes right now are like toiletries and like shampoo and stuff And I just want to get those put away I'm also starving right now, and I just ate a bar, but I want like real food, so I might get dinner here in a second Guys it's the next day and my room is still in shambles I don't really know if you can see that I throw on a jacket because it's freezing right now But set up my mirror, and then this is my bed desk so much stuff on it still Okay, I would continue like going through all this mess right now, but I'm so hungry and yesterday I ended up getting food outside But I got groceries now and so I really want to set everything up in the kitchen first the first thing that I really want to set up is this box which I got from Walmart So thank you again to Walmart But I ended up buying some plates that I can just use rather than like bring them from home I'm gonna go ahead and open this up if I can find the scissors I bought a bunch of kitchen stuff from Walmart Was kind of like what I really needed moving in this time Very good reviews on Walmart. I'm actually gonna move y'all so that there's more cover space to do this I Think what I'm gonna Do is like wash all my pots and pans because they're all like new and also my Tupperware if I can find where that is too beautiful Okay Just gonna go through all these boxes and put them in the dishwasher And then these are what the bowls look like And then I got a couple more things from Walmart and I haven't even opened it yet, so let's open this together I got this like nonstick pan This one is just a simple one that I can just like fry an egg in so this one's by T-fal and it's the 8 inch Fry pan second one is a saucepan also by T-fal. I'll probably be using this tonight because I think I'm gonna cook pasta Okay, and then of course I had to get some utensils so this one's by Mainstays Last thing I got is this knife set from Farberware I think that's how you pronounce it and the thing that I love about this one is that it comes with a block Oh, it also comes with scissors. That's so cute. I know that Not to this bag Okay, and then I got this last pan is also in the brand T-fal which I didn't even realize I don't even think I was trying to coordinate that This one's the five-quarter covered jumbo cooker and I like to have like a bigger pan because I do like meal prepping And so it's just a lot easier to like get everything done in one go Had to set up these like utensils and stuff So these are all the frames that I have right now And so I know I want to put something like above my bed here But I can't decide if I want to put anything on this wall or like next to my mirror because this is looking a little bit Empty I don't even know if I want my boots there There's just like an awkward space that I don't really know what to do with and then in the bathroom I'm definitely probably gonna put something like you're like on this wall Okay, cute I kind of like this Good morning guys. I'm literally about to go to work right now, which is why I am dressed like this But I really wanted to show you guys my finished room tour. Okay, so starting at my door This is what you see when you first come in It's a little bit dark because it's in the morning right now and then the bathrooms over here Okay, now I'll go like more in-depth about each part. So starting with my closet on the left here I have my bag just hanging there because I don't really know where else to put it So on the right side I have like more of my basic tops that I'll like usually go for and then I've got my shoe rag and then this like Basket, which is full of just like random stuff and then a lot of like bags and totes down there and then up here I just have like miscellaneous stuff. So like bags and then here I have skirt and shorts then jeans And these are just like regular pants like sweatpants and then on the left side I have more of like I don't even know like tennis dresses cover-ups sweatshirts crew next and then dresses in the back and then down There I also have my yoga mat and then of course my laundry basket and then moving on to my desk This is where I have like my chair trash can down there heels because I am about to go to work and then I've got My lamp and then over here. I have like my laptop and then jewelry organizer some other random stuff like lotion Setting spray, etc. And then makeup brushes make a bag keys. So this candle is so loud. Oh my god I don't know if you guys can hear it But anyway, but then up here I have like my wall prints pictures with friends and then onto my bed I have like the same comforter and bedsheets that I used last year and then down there I have another box with just like other random stuff and then here I have like my dressers and so I organized it by underwear bras and this is more like athletic wear and Then also like going out tops and then bikinis This mirror is also the same mirror that I used for last year And then I don't really know what I want to do here I've got like my cowboy boots and then also like these candles which I also just like didn't know what to do with So this might change down the line because I don't know if I love the way that this looks right now It's like kind of empty here. But this is what we're working with for right now Okay, and moving on to the bathroom here. I have my shower So shower caddies and then I have like my bad, um stuff like shampoo conditioner or whatever here I put this like little thing tray and then I put like a candle and then this like scent thing on there I was so scared of this like moving around so I actually like kind of taped it down So it doesn't like move around my little perfume holder Other stuff like toothbrush hand soap, whatever and then of course my three-tier cart, which I've had since like high school So I've got my Dyson some other stuff that I like grab for this down here has a lot of just like random stuff like Hair products and body lotion and then that's like extra like toothpaste and whatnot Random items and then these are just like extra towels and then down here I just have like a lot of other random stuff like paper towels pads I don't even know why I have pliers down there, but I do and yeah, that's my bathroom It's a little bit smaller than the one I had last year, but I honestly love it Yeah, that is everything for my room tour.
