Rebecca Marino vs. Tatjana Maria ｜ 2025 Guadalajara Round 2 ｜ WTA Match Highlights).

Superb from Marino. I like that from Marino. Look at Marino with the power. Most recently, Queen's Club in London, where she went on to beat Amanda Anissimova in the final, her fourth WTH singles title. Doesn't hit over the ball. Goes for the chip block. Marino sprays the smash, so it is first set to Tatiana Maria. Takes it six games to three. Nice little spell here for Marino. So dangerous. Brilliantly done. This time gets back and hits a wonderful smash on the back foot. She's got four times as many winners. Nicely done. This time the drive forehand volley works. No arguments from Maria. She waves it away. Very good. It was a very optimistic foray to the net, but how good are the hand skills from Maria? That's well played. Brings out the forehand topspin for a winner. Perhaps she should have gone with the topspin backhand there, Maria, with Marino at the net. Nicely done. Beautiful volley from Marino. That wasn't coming back. 38-year-old Tatiana Maria into her third Hologic WGA Tour quarterfinal of the season, her second at 500 level after winning the Queen's Cup title on grass in London. She gets the better of Rebecca Marino. An exciting second set. She broke twice, was broken once herself, recovered from a love three deficit, and gets through it in straight set. She's into the final eight. 6-3, 7-5 here in Guadalajara.
