as we dive into the spirit of the Chinese New Year. We are going to draw beautiful Chinese
lanterns to light up our celebration. So buckle up, join the fun, and let's doodle!
First, let's enjoy a speedy trip through our pencil sketching process.

then we will outline the round body with some decorative leaves on it,
and finally add the tail, finishing it off with the hanging ribbons, also known as the tassel.
Now let's move on to the other lantern. See this one has a unique touch. Two rounded bodies
stacked on top of each other, giving it a special look. Feel free to get creative and personalize
your lanterns the way you like. Did you know that Chinese lanterns are shaped like clementines?
This carries deep cultural meanings. It's like a big round hug for good luck and family unity.
Here we go! Our lanterns are ready for a touch of magic. Let's dip into our colors and bring
these lanterns to life. Today I will be using watercolor pencils and the stars of our show
are the radiant shades of red, orange, and yellow. Begin by adding a burst of yellow in the center,
symbolizing the lantern's glowing heart. Then let's blend our way out with the warm hues of
make our colors hold hands and dance together. To make our lantern accessories shine bright,
I will use yellow for the hook and for the decorative details, and later we'll add a splash
of red on the tail. Be creative and feel free to add as many details as you like.

lantern. Follow the same exciting steps we did before and don't forget to unleash your inner

I'm using light gray to add some chic stripes to our lantern.
