Hiking In an Old Growth Rain Forest Near Alsea Falls

Join me on my very first video adventure as I hike through an old growth rain forest in Oregon. My day hike started in Alsea Falls Recreation Area. I followed the trails along the South Fork of the Alsea River and part of the Big Fir Trail.

I found the trails along the river were not crowded at all considering I visited on Labor Day. Seems everyone was there for the falls, so I had all the other trails to myself.

Take the Alpine Cutoff just past the town of Monroe, OR. on Hwy 99 West.
