In this video, Dr. Joseph Nemeth will be discussing LANAP (Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure), an innovative procedure that uses a laser to regenerate lost bone and save teeth.
Dr Joseph Nemeth, a renowned periodontist and expert in LANAP surgery, will walk you through the process of how LANAP works and how it can help restore the health and functionality of your teeth. He will showcase some of his recent patient cases and demonstrate how bone can regrow within 1-2 years after the LANAP surgery.
Through this video, you will gain a deeper understanding of the effects of gum disease and how LANAP can be an effective solution to treat it. Dr Nemeth will explain how the laser targets and removes infected tissue while promoting the growth of healthy tissue, resulting in new bone growth and the stabilization of teeth.
We will also share the benefits of LANAP over traditional gum surgery, including less pain, less bleeding, and a quicker recovery time. You will learn about the unique advantages of LANAP, including its ability to selectively remove diseased tissue while preserving healthy tissue, and how it can help you avoid more invasive surgical procedures.
If you or someone you know is suffering from gum disease and wants to explore the benefits of LANAP, be sure to watch this video. You will gain a deeper understanding of how this innovative procedure can save your teeth and restore your smile. Hi, I'm Dr. Joe Nemeth.
I'm a periodontist in Southfield, Michigan,
and I want to talk about some of the results
that we're getting using LINAP
to treat periodontal disease.
And the most important thing I really want to talk about
today is bone growth.
So we're seeing many cases where one to two years later,
areas where there was rampant bone destruction,
we are seeing bone coming back, bone growing back,
and it is very, very gratifying.
We're not doing anything other than using the laser
to destroy the infection, to stimulate the bone,
and in many cases, not all, but many cases,
we're getting regrowth of bone.
And I thought I'd show you some of those cases today.
And here's one that's just recent.
All of this bone was lost between the roots here.
The outlook for this tooth was not good,
but we don't stop just because the outlook's not good.
We're still gonna treat that tooth and try to save it.
And if we can stop the infection
and preserve the bone we have,
we can usually save the teeth.
And if we can get bone, that's even, of course, much better.
So this tooth had lost virtually all of the bone
between the teeth.
Nothing was done other than the laser treatment.
And almost two years later,
a year and a half to two years later,
we have this whole area filling in with bone.
So this is one example.
Let's see some other ones.
And here is another case.
All of the bone in the front of this tooth was gone.
It had all been destroyed.
There was nothing supporting the front part of this tooth.
After approximately two years, this bone filled in,
and so here's the before and here is the after.
You can see when it's dark like that,
that's dark because the bone has been destroyed,
largely destroyed in that area.
It is now filled in.
We've got good, heavy, dense bone there,
which will give the tooth an even better outlook.
Another case, this is what it looked like before.
Lot of bone destruction.
Almost all the bone on this aspect of the tooth is gone,
and much of that has now come back.
So a tooth that probably would have been extracted
by others now is going to be able to be saved.
This, as you can see, this tooth was ready to be extracted.
All the bone here was gone.
Much of the bone on this root was gone.
After laser treatment, almost all of that bone regenerated,
and this tooth, which was about to be lost,
is about to be saved.
Now there's also something called LaPIP,
as opposed to LaNAP.
LaPIP is for treating implants,
laser-assisted peri-implant procedure.
So here's a implant.
This is the bone loss around it.
LaPIP was used.
The bone has grown back.
Bone loss, bone loss, very little bone left,
just around the tip of that implant.
Now that implant's going to have a long life,
and I think the patient's going to keep it
for the rest of their life.
We're really getting great results.
Here's a case that this patient was told
I have to have all of their teeth out.
Well, we take cases like this.
We treat cases like this.
We save these teeth.
Can I say that every tooth can always be saved?
Well, of course not.
But most of these teeth, with treatment,
will be able to be saved with a laser treatment,
and it's far less destructive
than typical periodontal surgery.
I just wanted to show you some of the results
that we get, and we're very proud of.
So laser treatment, I think,
is very fit for either way to go,
much less destructive,
much more comfortable for the patient.
It doesn't leave the gaps in the sensitivity
that you get with traditional gum surgery.
So we'd love to hear from you.
