Now taking the ice, representing Czechia, let's welcome Jorgi Reshtenko.
So Michael Brzezina tapping the boards, I hope he doesn't tap too hard because all the cables for the LED lights are there.
He sends his charge out onto the ice, 22-year-old Jorgi Reshtenko from Czechia, the Czech national champion.
Third time at Worlds for him.
I loved it, loved the concept of the program. Gary Moore at his very, very best of course.
Brzezina walkways a masterpiece and some fantastic choreography. Well done to Adam Solja who put that
program together. A great effort there by Jorgi Reshtenko. I loved it, I loved the program.
It's a great program for him and a few little errors off the top of the program but I thought
he really came alive at the end as soon as he did a great triple lutz. You can tell he loves to skate
this step sequence. It covered a lot of ice. It's his third appearance at the World Championships
and he's never qualified for the free program yet. I'm sure he'd love to do that here. It could well,
you know, he's going to be right on the cusp, isn't he? There's Adam who put the program together.
Loved that piece with the sitspin where he just held the position for eight rotations on that
long note. It was just super, wasn't it? Here's the quad toe.
Reaches down with the right hand but is smart. Gets a combination off even though it's not the
triple toe. Here's the triple axel. Nice step up into the air. Left arm's a little crazy checking
out. Not able to hold on to it but it's not major. It's a minor reduction to his score.
Here's the triple lutz. The nicest jump of the program for sure. Nice running edge.
He'd probably be thinking back, well maybe I could have put a triple lutz triple toe in there.
Shoulda, coulda, woulda. Dead right. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. We saw that in the earlier group,
didn't we? Where they weren't able to get a combo off on the first jump and then fell on
on the third jump and then they they don't receive any points for that additional
combination that they would have had. So I understand the decision for sure.
It's a risky business. So there's the team. What will the scores be? 75-59 his best score this
season. 70.26 would get him into the lead. It is 68-61. It's third place. He's gonna have to wait.
He knows it's gonna be tough.
