Well, as you can see, it is no longer summer out here.
Badly.
The nights are getting colder, the leaves have only changed colors and are starting to fall off.
I think this is a, like, colorful weekend.
Yep.
So, we're gonna take full advantage of it.
Yep.
Alright, what's your plan there?
What's a good plan?
I think we gotta go towards the, um, Buck Lake.
I thought we-
Yes.
So we made it to our spot.
Problem is, there's this big boulder.
And we can't actually drive up to it.
So, we're gonna unload the car here and there's a little clearing just over there.
And once we unload, we'll just go and park there, I guess.
Come on out, bud.
Are you going to investigate the water?
You found the water already, buddy.
Ah, beautiful.
Hey, isn't it better without all the bugs?
Yeah.
So this spot might look a little familiar to some of you guys.
In the springtime, we camped in the tree tent right over there.
And it was a absolute horrible experience.
The mosquitoes, the horse flies, the black flies.
It was a triple whammy of Canadian bugs.
Now, it's a little bit cooler.
A little bit later in the year, but we shouldn't have that issue.
Having an appetizer?
It doesn't fit.
The platform's too small.
Really?
Yeah.
I think it'll fit perfectly.
With it blown up, I think it'll fit perfectly.
Just perfectly.
No, it's not going to work.
Good job, buddy.
We'll see what happens.
I'm going to lift and move it up.
You know what would be cool?
To move it back, and then this is kind of like a dock.
I'm just going to get the corners up.
And go.
Drive safe.
So one of the main reasons we opted for this spot was because it had a perfect tent platform.
Which isn't necessary, but it's just nice to have.
It's nice and level.
We've made that mistake into a good thing.
Because now we have a nice little deck right out of our tent.
Beautiful porch.
Yeah.
There he is.
Hi, buddy.
It sure is a nice deke.
The swamp puppy.
Beautiful.
Oh, yeah.
How can you do that outside?
Not in here.
No, no, no.
Out of here.
Chester, here.
Chester.
Every trip, it seems that we forget one item.
And I think this trip, we might have forgotten the most important thing that we could have.
You know what it is?
No, don't tell me.
I don't want to know.
We forgot the dog towel.
Oh, the dog towel.
Yeah.
Which is not good, because Chester will sleep on our bed.
And Chester is currently soaking wet.
And Chester will most definitely go into the water right before bed.
Well, while Adam helps Chester find his bandana, I'm going to set up the bed here.
No luck still?
No.
He found it last time, though.
Yeah.
Let's hope.
That was definitely just a fluke.
That's the worst bandana, buddy.
Chester.
Good boy.
Where was it?
Oh, that's a good boy.
Oh, actually, I don't know if it will fit.
I like this duvet in honor of fall.
Oh, there's a hallway.
I don't know if orange or yellow is my favorite color.
I thought it was purple.
No.
There's the bed.
I prefer that we have this porch over the platform.
I thought canopy would be great, though.
Especially if it's going to be raining tomorrow.
While the camp's set up.
Tradition.
You know I know you cheated.
Yeah.
Chester.
You look like you're being nosy.
I got a mosquito bite.
Okay.
Oh, no, no, no.
You stay there.
And keep a safe distance from the food, buddy.
Stay right there.
All the facilities.
Stinky.
No.
Perfect.
I got one.
Can't believe it turned out to be such a nice day.
I know.
Oh, you don't tongs, do you?
Yeah, I do.
Oh, you do?
I have everything.
Except for a dog towel.
I got a good spread going.
Good boy.
Right there.
I know.
I'm going to throw some.
Can't wait.
You lost one.
Sand tongs?
Okay.
Last step.
Oh.
Chester is getting a little drooly.
How's that?
That's pretty good.
We'll start with that.
Thank you.
Very excited.
The apple is a nice addition to that.
That's pretty damn good.
What's your rating?
Eight and a half.
Oh, nice.
I would say 8.2.
Yeah.
I'll give it 8.5.
It's a really good one pot meal.
It's nice.
Oh, it's hot in there.
Long gone are the days of brightness till 10 o'clock, eh?
No.
What time is it?
Yeah, 8 o'clock.
It's pitch black already.
Probably 10 degrees, so Celsius.
Good way to stay warm before going to bed.
Beautiful night with the stars out, too.
It's a perfect fall evening.
Sure is.
Hello, mister.
Watch out, Chester.
See the taco weed?
Yeah.
Little tight donut.
We managed to crawl into bed with Chester, of course.
Joel was just saying we're kind of like a Chester burrito in here.
It's so tight.
But cuddly and warm, which is nice on a cool night like tonight.
I'm going to turn the light off and try to get some shut eye.
We'll catch up with you guys in the morning.
Good night.
This is how Chester lets you know that he wants to get up.
And as forecasted, it is a very wet and very chilly morning here.
So we just brought the bin and the cooler in from the truck
and we're just going to be making coffee and breakfast in bed today.
Joel's kind of stressed about the fact that the tent's going to smell like bacon.
But I can think of a lot of worse things that the tent could smell like than bacon.
Maybe a little bit more in mine.
It said scrambled.
Yeah, I guess so.
I'm starting to get hangry.
Is that what that was?
You already had your breakfast, sir.
You already got your breakfast today.
Hey!
Crazy that in probably less than two weeks, every single one of these leaves will be on the ground.
Joel's just working on cleaning up the inside of the tent.
We got a deflator, roll her up and walk her back to the truck.
It's huge.
Holy ----.
We make it up the hill in one go.
Can't even keep up with him.
As always, very important to leave a clean site for the next visitors.
We finally made it back to the car.
Everything fits.
It's funny, it doesn't fit as good as it did when we packed to come here.
It seems like the stuff would barely fit.
I don't know why.
So I have this on my lap right now.
I don't know how it happened.
It's not like we're leaving with any more stuff.
Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed this one.
For all of our fellow Canadians, happy Canadian Thanksgiving.
Thanks for watching and we'll catch you on the next one.
