So getting to the basics of ADA protections in the workplace,
who is protected from employment discrimination?
The employment provisions of the ADA prohibit discrimination in three areas.
One, prohibits discrimination against a person with a physical or a mental impairment
that substantially limits an age of life activity.
Someone that has a record or a history of a disability or an impairment.
The third aspect of prohibiting discrimination is perceived as having a disability.
The ADA prohibits an employer from making any adverse employment decisions
based on their perception of whether or not somebody has a disability.
