It’s time for a reset. If you’re ready to declutter your life like a privileged, high-value woman — start here. In this video, I’m breaking down 5 things you need to toss this week if you’re serious about leveling up your space, your energy, and your mindset.
Because privileged women don’t hold on to things that drain them, weigh them down, or keep them stuck in old versions of themselves. And neither should you.
✨ Decluttering isn’t just about junk — it’s about making space for your next season. Let’s get into it.
In this video you’ll learn: ✔️ 5 things to immediately declutter for a softer, freer life ✔️ How clutter affects your mindset, mood, and momentum ✔️ Why privileged women move different — and how you can too ✔️ Simple, actionable steps you can take today ✔️ How small life edits create big energy shifts
Let's be real, privileged women don't hold on to clutter, not in the house,
not in their minds and not in their lives.
Which means if you actually want to level up and move like the woman
that you say you want to be, you got to declutter like her too.
Today, we're going to talk about five things that you need to toss this week.
If you are serious about stepping into your next season and baby girl,
we are not just talking about junk drawers.
I am coming for all of the life clutter too.
Let's go.
Welcome back to my channel, my friends, or welcome.
If you're new here, my name is Christy and I make content centered around
realizing that no matter where we are in life, no matter our age,
we are just on time to live the life of our dreams.
If you've been here for a while, you know, that decluttering has been a part
of my own personal transformation, not just because I wanted a clean house,
but because like I've said, a lot of times clutter is a reflection
of what's happening inside of us.
Privileged women, soft life, women, women living in peace and abundance
do not tolerate chaos in any part of their lives.
So every season I audit my life and this week you're going to do it with me.
And real quick, before we get too deep in the video, I want to
ground us in what privilege is.
It's not feeling better than other people because of some quality that you possess.
It's not something that you are born into.
It is a deep understanding that you have a right to expect the best life.
And the way that you show up for yourself, the way that you move throughout life
is a reflection of that understanding.
First up, we're coming in hot with letting go of your undergarments.
Listen, I'm going to put myself on blast because I am a girly who follows the
Bible and the Bible says, get the beam out your own eye before getting
the speck out the other person.
So we're going to deal with my beam first.
I used to have this one bra that was like my favorite, but like the
wire was poking me in the side.
One of the hooks was broken, but I would still grab it because it was
comfortable, even though I had like 50 others and every time I put it on, I
felt like my girls were in this comfy, happy place, but I low key felt kind of
raggedy and that's just not it.
Privilege high value women do not tolerate things that make them feel less than.
Even in private, they set the standard for how they will be treated.
And it starts with how they treat themselves.
Even when nobody is watching, if you allow raggediness in small ways,
you're going to allow it in big ways.
That's just how it works.
So the period panties got to go all of that stuff that does not make
you feel like your best self.
Let it go.
You deserve to feel good in everything that you wear all the way
down to your underwear drawer.
Your undergarments should match the energy of the life you're stepping into.
So this week, go through your drawer and toss anything that you
wouldn't wear on a good day.
A day that you are just feeling good and confident and proud of yourself.
It does not have to be, this is my whatever underwear, but it does
have to be something that makes you feel good, even if nobody's looking.
Like my husband always says, if it is torn, ripped, doesn't fit, doesn't work,
stained, ugly, any of the above, let it go.
Even if it's just one thing that's in your undie drawer and you're like,
ugh, this ain't cute.
Just make room for better girl.
Make room for better.
Number two, expired makeup and beauty products.
When I was deep in my decluttering era and every week I was tackling a new room.
One day I went through the bathroom and I saw all of this like makeup products
and stuff that I needed to get rid of.
So I pulled out a lip gloss that I thought, oh, I'm probably going to wear this one day.
I tried it on.
Oh my goodness.
It was so stinky and so sticky.
It smelled like old crayons.
I actually have a video and I will insert it if I remember, but needless to say, I
had to let that go along with a whole bunch of other stuff and some of it was
brand new and unopened and I had just let it go bad because I was saving it for
later, but I had to be honest with myself that if I had not used it by then I was
never going to.
Privileged women use products that elevate their life and their experience.
Keeping expired products or not using your products is like telling yourself that
you don't deserve fresh and beautiful things.
Also not using it is like secretly telling yourself that today just isn't special
enough to use that expensive eye cream.
Like girl, that's why you bought it.
I need you to reset your mind to recognize that holding onto things that you're not
using only serves to clutter your mind and your space.
So your action step here is to pick one space, whether that be a makeup bag, a
drawer or a basket where you keep your beauty products and toss anything that is
either separated, that is old and expired that you haven't used in like a year or so
or anything that just gives you the ick, let it go.
Number three, craft supplies and or stationary that you don't use as a former
elementary school teacher and an arts and crafts curly at heart.
I love stationary and pens and markers and papers and stickers and all sorts of cute
things that I don't use except for like maybe once or twice a year.
If that again, before I started decluttering, there were things that I had
held onto for years, had held onto since I was an actual elementary school teacher,
which was 2012.
So what, 13 years ago.
So if this started two years ago, 10, whatever, anything longer than a year or
two was far too long to be holding onto that stuff.
I finally had to limit myself to two bins where I keep all of my arts and craft
supplies for the one or two times a year that I actually do want to use them.
And it's helped me because I know exactly where all my stuff is, exactly what's in
them and how to access them when I need them.
And here's the thing.
I know that I am not the only one who likes some of this stuff.
These crafting things have got y'all in a chokehold.
And I know because I see it in the comments, but what we don't always realize
when we're holding onto those things is that they're tied to an ideal version of
ourselves.
I did a whole video where I talked about the four layers of decluttering that I
identified when I was going through my own decluttering journey.
And ideal self is one of those layers that makes it really hard to start letting
things go.
I'll link below if you haven't seen it.
But basically what it is is that these are things that are tied to a version of
us, either that we used to be or one that we idealize and think that we will be or
come back to one day, but we're not actually doing anything with that.
Privileged women do not hoard ideal self items.
Their space is curated for who they are now and what they actively use.
Holding onto future or past clutter actually steals your present piece.
And so to reclaim your piece,
you need to make room for the life that you're actively building.
My action step as always, I love to start small.
So pick one bin, one drawer, one closet, one,
whatever and toss the things that you have not used in the past year.
And girl,
I want you to be honest with yourself because you probably have not even thought
about it real quick before you keep going.
If you are loving these practical tips and you feel like you're just meant for
more, like God has placed something in your heart and you just need the
encouragement to go after it, I would love for you to join my email list.
I send out weekly notes packed with tips,
encouragement, resources, and ways to start living the life you've been craving.
The link is down in the description and I would love to have you.
Number four, negative self-talk.
I used to catch myself saying things out
loud like, oh, I'm so behind or, oh, I look so tired.
And I was not even thinking about the words that I was that I was speaking over
my life, it would put me in those mental spaces and I wouldn't understand why I
kept feeling so behind and looking so tired.
Privileged women understand that their words create their world.
When you speak negatively over yourself,
you end up shooting yourself in the foot and you limit your energy.
You limit your mood and your confidence.
So often as women, we can be so mean to ourselves while simultaneously not
tolerating that for the women and the girls that we love.
We will lift them up.
We will encourage them.
We will support them.
And at the same time,
saving things to us and not understand why we are not leveling up and not feeling
like the woman that we want to feel like you need to give yourself that same love.
So if it is not something that you would say to your best friend or your daughter
or your niece or whomever other lady that you love, do not say to yourself your
action step, I want you to start catching one negative
thought a day and then flipping it over into a positive or a neutral one.
Preferably, though, a positive one.
Number five, people who hold you back.
Privileged women protect their peace.
They surround themselves with other people
who support them and who challenge them, not people who suddenly shade them.
If you find that you have people in your
life who either make slick comments or look at you weird when you talk about
an ambitious goal or you have people in your circle, your circle is filled with
people who are too scared to go after their own dreams.
You have to recognize two things.
One, they're draining your energy, but also they're stopping you from leveling up.
One of the most tough love lessons that I
had to learn, but then also that I've had to share with other people is that not
everybody can come with you, not everybody is going to get it.
And that's OK.
I'm going to say something that's going to sound really harsh.
And I don't mean for it to be harsh.
But if it hits you that way and you're
feeling a little sting from it, I don't know what to tell you.
But the world is full of average people
who think average thoughts and who don't understand when you decide you want to
live more than an average life, you want to walk in your privilege.
And you already know my thoughts on privilege.
That does not mean that you feel like you're better than them.
That doesn't mean that you don't love
them or that you stop talking to them or that you can't spend time with them.
But it does mean that you have to set
boundaries because you do not want to let their averageness keep you at a level that
you've outgrown or that you're working to outgrow.
So what I want you to do is to identify
a person this week whose energy feels heavy and set a boundary.
Maybe that means shorter conversations or maybe that also means not sharing deep
information or deep, deep thoughts and deep goals that you know,
that they may talk you out of.
Now, if through this you find that you're
actually the problem, if you find that something about my little TED talk
on averageness stepped on your toes a bit, I love you.
But we got some things to work through.
Do not give up on yourself or your dreams and don't bash other people's.
Decluttering isn't just about junk.
It's about making room for the life that you actually want.
Privileged women understand that it's not
about having less, but it's about removing things that don't
align with the version of you that you're becoming.
All right.
So I am looking at the time and this video
is already getting a little bit long, even though I still have five more tips.
So if you have enjoyed this video, I want
you to let me know in the comments and let me know which one of these five things
that you are starting on.
And if I get enough of you, then we'll go ahead and upload that part, too.
Also, if you're not subscribed, like what are you doing?
I'm gonna need you to jump on that.
All righty, my friends, I love you so much and I will see you in my next.
Bye for now.
