This video shows a touching scene from The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers – Extended Edition, where Aragorn dreams of Arwen. In the dream, they remember their emotional farewell in Rivendell. Arwen gives Aragorn the Evenstar pendant — a symbol of her love and sacrifice. Aragorn tries to return it, but Arwen tells him to keep it, showing her faith in him. The scene highlights their deep love, the pain of separation, and the burden of destiny.
The light of the event star does not wax and wane.
It is mine to give to whom I will.
Like my heart to sleep.
I am asleep.
This is a dream.
Then it is a good dream.
Sleep.
I am in delirium.
I am asleep.
I am in delirium.
I am asleep.
I am sleeping.
I am awake.
Where is she?
The woman who gave you that jewel.
Our time here is ending.
Arwen's time is ending.
Let her go. Let her take the ship into the West.
Let her bear away her love for you to the Undying Lands.
There it will be evergreen.
But never more than memory.
I will not leave my daughter here to die.
She stays because she still has hope.
She stays for you. She belongs with her people.
And now, what is the future?
Is there no hope for you, Ormundo, that you are gone?
I will not leave you.
Is there no more hope for you?
I do not want to live any more.
What else do you want?
I do not want to leave you.
I do not want to be without you.
Why are you saying this?
I am mortal. You are Elfkind. It was a dream, Arwen. Nothing more.
I don't believe you.
This belongs to you.
It was a gift.
Keep her, my lord.
She is sailing to the Undying Lands with all that's left of her kin.
