Доброе утро. Good morning. Добро пожаловать на мой канал. Welcome back to Russian with Nastya.
Today we are going to talk about verbs. We are going to learn some verbs in two aspects.
Perfective and imperfective. And the word of the day is мнение. Let's write it down.
If you know the translation of this word, write it in chat.
What is мнение? Write in chat.
Perfective and imperfective.
Today we're going to talk about verbs.
What is мнение now? Yes.
This is the word of the day.
So, perfective verbs. Perfective are the perfect verbs. And I mean that the action of these verbs,
when we want to show that the action is finished, done, or will be finished in the future.
Imperfective, when we talk about an action that is an ongoing action.
Ongoing, that is happening right now. Or everyday action. Everyday.
Everyday. Something that you do on a daily basis. So, perfective, imperfective.
The first verb is заболеть. Заболеть. Заболеть is perfective.
Заболеть. To be sick. To be already sick. Заболеть. Let's write it down.
Заболеть. To get sick. Or болеть. To be sick. Болеть. To be sick.
So, we have заболеть. Болеть. And, of course, I will give you some examples
to see how we are using it in a context. Заболеть. Болеть.
Perfective. Finished action or will be finished in the future. Imperfective. Ongoing. Everyday.
So, first, let's look at the example with this verb, with the perfective verb заболеть.
Он опять заболел?
Example number one. Он опять заболел?
Он опять заболел?
Is he sick again?
Заболел?
So, the action is done, finished. He's already sick.
He's sick again?
Don't forget to write this down.
Is he again sick again?
And imperfective verb, ongoing or everyday.
Я болею.
Болею.
Present. We can add present here right now.
Я болею. I'm sick.
Я болею.
I don't know when it will be finished. It's happening right now.
Я болею.
Я болею. I'm sick.
Я болею.
Он опять заболел?
Is he sick again?
Finished action.
Я болею. I'm sick right now.
It's an ongoing action. We use imperfective verb.
Понятно?
Is it clear?
Дальше.
Next verb is завтракать.
To have breakfast.
Завтракать.
So, imperfective is завтракать.
Let's write it down.
In many cases, to make a verb perfective, just add additional two letters.
Or позавтракать.
To have breakfast.
Don't forget to write it down.
Позавтракать.
To have breakfast.
Verb imperfective aspect.
Завтракать.
Ongoing everyday action or present happening right now.
Завтракать.
To have breakfast in Russian.
Завтракать.
We have позавтракать, perfective, finished action or will be finished.
Завтракать.
Imperfective, ongoing, everyday or in present.
Хорошо.
Let's look at the example.
The first example will be позавтракать.
Позавтракать.
Мы позавтракали и пошли на работу.
We had breakfast and we went to work.
So the action is finished.
Мы позавтракали.
Завтракали.
Мы позавтракали и пошли на работу.
И пошли.
And went.
Пошли.
Пошли на работу.
To work.
На работу.
Работу.
Here the verb пошли and went is in perfective aspect as well.
Мы позавтракали.
We had breakfast.
We finished this action.
И пошли на работу.
And went to work.
Мы позавтракали и пошли на работу.
Now with the verb in imperfective.
Ongoing, everyday, present action.
Болеть.
Or I'm sorry.
Завтракать.
For example.
Обычно мы завтракаем в семь.
Обычно.
Usually.
When we see this kind of word.
Обычно.
For example.
Usually.
It's clear that you have to use the imperfective here.
Because they are talking when you say обычно.
Usually.
When you say this word usually.
Of course you are talking about some events that are happening every day or twice a week,
once a week, on daily or weekly days.
Every day.
Or weekly.
Weekly.
Monthly.
And so on.
Обычно.
Usually.
It's clear that we have to use imperfective.
Обычно мы завтракаем в семь.
Мы.
Обычно мы завтракаем.
I will write it here to emphasize.
Завтракаем.
Обычно мы завтракаем в семь.
Usually we have breakfast at seven.
It's not a finished action.
We do it every day.
We usually do that.
So we will use the imperfective there.
Обычно мы завтракаем в семь.
Скажите.
Say.
Обычно мы завтракаем в семь.
Usually we have breakfast at seven.
So this is the difference between verbs in perfective aspect and verb in imperfective
aspect.
Обычно мы завтракаем в семь.
Мы позавтракали.
We had breakfast.
But this is not the past tense.
Because we can say, we can use the perfective verb in the future.
I will do it for sure.
Я обязательно позавтракаю.
For sure I will have breakfast tomorrow, завтра.
So it's not the past tense.
Обычно мы завтракаем в семь.
Usually we have breakfast at seven.
Okay.
Let's look to the next verb.
It's заниматься.
Заниматься.
Давайте напишем.
Let's write it down.
Заниматься.
Imperfective.
Заниматься.
To practice, to do something.
Заниматься.
Imperfective.
Заняться.
Заниматься.
Заняться.
You have to just memorize these verbs.
Just to learn them.
Заняться is perfective.
Finished action or will be finished in the future.
Заниматься.
Онгонг.
Every day, weekly or right now.
Заниматься.
Хорошо.
Let's look to practice.
To practice.
Заниматься.
For example.
Заняться.
Я думаю, тебе стоит заняться спортом.
First example.
Я думаю.
I think.
Я думаю.
Тебе стоит.
You should.
I think you should.
Тебе стоит.
Я думаю, тебе стоит заняться спортом.
Заняться.
We will use the perfective verb here.
Заняться спортом.
I think you should start practice sport.
Literally.
I think you should заняться спортом.
To start and to finish this action.
To for sure to do that.
Я думаю, тебе стоит заняться спортом.
To finish this action.
To do it for 100%.
Я думаю, тебе стоит заняться спортом.
I think you should start practicing sport.
Something like that.
Заниматься.
Every day, weekly, present.
Let's write an example.
Number two.
Я буду заниматься спортом два раза в неделю.
We will show exactly when you are going to practice sport.
Я буду заниматься спортом.
Я буду.
I will.
Заниматься.
Practice.
Заниматься.
Я буду заниматься спортом.
Sport.
Спортом.
Я буду заниматься спортом.
In English we say I will workout.
In Russian we say, literally we can translate this as I will practice sport.
It means a workout.
Я буду заниматься спортом два раза в неделю.
Twice a week.
Два раза в неделю.
So already we have some kind of schedule here, right?
Я буду заниматься спортом два раза в неделю.
Заниматься.
So of course we use the imperfective aspect of the verb to practice.
Я буду заниматься.
So in Russian to workout means заниматься спортом.
So we say заниматься спортом.
To practice sport.
Я буду заниматься спортом два раза в неделю.
And if you have some kind of schedule we have to use the imperfective aspect of the verb.
Я буду заниматься спортом два раза в неделю.
Дальше. Отлично.
Then the next verb is следующий глагол.
Кончаться.
To finish.
To end.
Кончаться.
Perfective is кончиться.
And imperfective is кончаться.
To finish.
To end.
To finish.
To end.
Кончиться.
Кончаться.
To finish.
To end.
Perfective is кончиться.
And we have a song in Russian.
And the line of this song is
Я так хочу, чтобы лето не кончалось.
I want for summer to never end.
Я так хочу, чтобы лето не кончалось.
And we will use the imperfective.
Because it will not...
We don't know when it will finish.
There is no...
We don't talk about finishing it.
We want this to not...
To not end.
To never end.
Я так хочу кончаться.
Oh, no. Let's take the perfective verb first.
The example from the perfective verb first.
This is how we start with it.
And the perfective verb is
Все хорошо, что хорошо кончается.
We have this saying from a Shakespeare's book, I think.
Все хорошо, что хорошо кончается.
У меня кончились сигареты.
Finished action.
У меня кончились сигареты.
I'm out of cigarettes.
Of course, instead of сигареты, you can use another word.
Сигареты.
У меня кончились, кончится, кончились сигареты.
I'm out of cigarettes.
So, no more cigarettes.
This is a finished action.
У меня кончились сигареты.
I'm out of cigarettes.
У меня кончились сигареты.
The action is finished, done.
У меня кончились сигареты.
This is the perfective verb, finished action.
If you are out of something, you will use the perfective aspect of the verb.
У меня кончились сигареты.
And now imperfective, ongoing, everyday, weekly, or something that is happening in present right now.
Я так хочу.
I want so much.
Я так хочу.
I want so much, чтобы лето не кончалось.
Чтобы лето не кончалось.
Я так хочу, чтобы лето не кончалось.
Я так хочу.
I want it so much.
Я так хочу, чтобы лето не кончалось.
For summer to not end.
This is not a finished action.
It's something ongoing, something that is not...
We don't know will it be finished or what is...
I don't know, it's like something ongoing.
Я так хочу, чтобы лето не кончалось.
So we will use the imperfective aspect of the verb here.
I want so much for summer to not end.
And another example for the imperfective verb.
I came up with two examples for the imperfective.
Everything is good.
Хорошо.
Everything is good.
Хорошо.
Кончается.
It's ending.
Хорошо кончается.
We have this saying in Russian from a book I think by Shakespeare.
And the translation is all is well that ends well.
All is well that ends well.
So the action is not finished.
We will use the imperfective verb here.
Всё хорошо, что хорошо кончается.
Очень хорошо, молодцы.
And the last verb is молчать.
To be silent.
Молчать.
Imperfective.
Молчать.
Imperfective is замолчать.
Замолчать.
Молчать.
Замолчать.
To shut up.
To be silent.
Замолчать.
Молчать.
To shut up.
To be silent.
And let's come up with some examples.
For example.
When we want to say to someone shut up.
We say замолчи.
Finish this action.
Really close your mouth.
Замолчи.
Давайте напишем.
Замолчи.
Imperfective.
Замолчи.
Shut up.
Замолчи.
It is perfective.
We want for this action to be finished.
Замолчи.
Shut up.
Or.
Не молчите.
Number two.
Imperfective verb.
Не молчите.
Do not be silent.
Say something.
Do not.
Be silent.
Do not be silent.
Не молчите.
So say something.
Continue this action.
Не молчите.
Do not be silent.
Не молчите.
Not нет.
Не.
This is a negation.
Не молчите.
Do not be silent.
Не молчите.
Замолчать.
Imperfective.
That's all for today.
That's all for the first day
when we talk about
perfective and imperfective aspects.
They are not so easy.
I know that they are tough.
But I will do more videos
with perfective and imperfective aspects
and I will give you more examples.
See you in five minutes
for a vocabulary lesson.
I will
check your listening
your
yes, your listening skills.
First I will say a word twice.
You have to recognize it.
Then I will write it down
here on the blackboard
and I will translate it.
See you in five minutes.
Спасибо.
