Liverpool 7-0 Manchester United | Premier League Highlights

Salah, Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, right boot, it's the head of Lissandro Martinez that clears for Manchester United. Yeah, he's obviously not prolific but he does all the right things and he obviously had eyes for the far corner but finding the far corner on your weaker side is not a done deal. Harvey Elliots, space here, Shaw's header, missed one for the cost. Robertson. Nunez for this because Martinez made it very difficult, he just got a foot in there at the end and it made it harder for Nunez to actually keep it down. Back post is Bruno Fernandes! Manchester United's best chance so far. I think if it's Marcus Rashford far post then he probably does find the far corner. Bruno Fernandes is very close to it but he doesn't get it quite right. Rashford, Manchester United have been shown to whichever side has been at home. Bruno Fernandes, Vecors, Casemiro scores! But the flag is raised. There's no doubt that he has strayed, he's not to know at this stage. Robertson. A sight to goal, a wonderful finish! It's just a case of, you know, has he timed his run, has he got it right or is he offside? It looks like Luke Shaw is playing him on and Gatto does the simple thing and just cut inside Varane who doesn't read it very well. But starting from Alisson, through Robertson, it was wonderfully created. And then it was just a case of, can he find the finish? And that is much more like it. Fabinho, unable to get it away from Casemiro initially but good battling by Fabinho there. And it's still there. Now there's Shishala. And Shaw has been careful not to handle it. Manchester United defensively have looked very loose and it hasn't been like that for a while. But this isn't the best. In Liverpool it is that extra quality they've been seeking. Gatto. Shaw. Teenage defender. Shaw turns and twists. Gatto! By Salah because, you know, taking it on is one thing, doing what he's done to Martinez. He's turned him inside out. And he slipped and it made it easier for Salah to pick out Gatto. But you have to admire the finish because he knows the keeper is going to spread himself. And that's a beautiful little dink. A beautiful little lift. Varane sends it in. Canate! Liverpool so close to making it four. Canate gets a bit more on that but certainly could have hit four. Shaw. Diego Fernandez. Darwin Nunez. Cut out by McTominay. Salah! Efficient, incisive and clinical. And once possession was lost again I think Manchester United were always struggling to get the numbers back behind the ball. I think they are a little bit unlucky in terms of the deflection it took to take it into Mo Salah's path. McTominay is unfortunate but De Gea can do little about that. On his right foot he thought this is too much of an offer to turn down. This is Garlaccio. Bossing the midfield. I think Liverpool's press has been close to some of the best examples we've seen. I mean the energy that they've got from midfield today has been superb. Henderson in particular, he hasn't stopped. Get a touch. Here is Darwin Nunez! Ghosted in. Offensive line and got a very good little flick header on it from Henderson's cross. And Manchester United have been caught again. I mean if you're a Liverpool fan turning up to this day you're a little apprehensive as to what to expect. And now you're in Dreamland. 5-0. Absolutely Dreamland. Alexander-Arnold to make it six. Salah! Liverpool's best day of the season. Well there may be an offside on this so I'm not convinced it's going to be given. It's an awful attempt by Luke Shaw to clear the ball and it breaks kindly for Liverpool again. It's been like that but is his foot in an offside position? Complete the goal stands. It is 6-0. Could it get worse for the visitors? Salah. Roberto Firmino. It's in! Makes Manchester United's day completely miserable. Again it's come from the pressure Liverpool have managed to apply in midfield which has been considerable today. And they were able to help it on from there. We thought he'd miscontrolled it and it got behind him but not a problem. And Manchester United had just backed off and allowed him to shoot. And Liverpool have hit seven. Liverpool have hit heaven. A whistle blows at Anfield. This has been emphatic. A one-sided performance as you will see. Manchester United have been humbled at Anfield. 4-0, 5-0 last season. This is a different level altogether. Liverpool 7th. Manchester United 9th.
