study diaries | preparing for midterms, autumn on campus & productive study vlog

If you're new here, my name is Clarisse. I'm a college student in Montreal and I study in a cinema communications program and I like to bring you guys along with me as I experience college. It's basically like midterm season right now for me. I have a reading week next week and I really want to get all of my work done before then so that I can enjoy my reading week and actually relax. I have an essay that I pretty much finished but that I still want to revise before I hand that in, a research project to work on, a test this Friday that I need to study for, and a couple of other things here and there that I'd like to get done before the break starts. So I'm hoping that we can do that together and that I can bring you along on these productive days in my life. Right now I have to catch the bus in like 20 minutes so I'm going to use that extra time to just enjoy my coffee and do a little bit of reading for my film theory research project. I have like 20 pages to read so I'm going to try to get some of those pages read before I have to leave and yeah, let's have a productive day. I used to live within the clouds yet so somehow I had to stay grounded for more than five years and I'm terrified for you now, shallow woman, I once knew I hope I'll find you somewhere not today actually very productive, he kind of like sent me some stuff to watch over our break and recommended me a little like out of class assignment to do just to get familiar with camera settings because that's kind of what I am concerned about and like what I don't know much on so that was really helpful. I'm glad I went and now I'm just outside and I'm gonna continue doing the reading that I started earlier today. There are all these picnic tables outside on campus and it's just such a beautiful day. I can't believe no one's out here so I'm trying to make the most out of it because I know that winter is going to be so cold and I'm going to be so sad that I can't go outside as much anymore without freezing my toes off so I'm just trying to make the most of it while I still can and also like you know the leaves are changing colors it's just beautiful and it was making me very happy to get some sunlight in. Anyways I'm gonna get to work and finish this reading and I'll probably stay out here for a little while to catch up on assignments. Perfect Happy Thursday. It's actually already noon right now because I basically spent my morning taking Instagram pictures with my sister and going through those so that took a while but it was really fun and if you want to check them out I'll have my Instagram somewhere on the screen. I am actually not going to school today because I only have one class and it's been converted into office hours so that we could go and ask the teacher some questions about our essays but I already I'm pretty much done with mine I'm just going to review it at last time and then submit it so that means that I get to stay home and I'm definitely going to be using this day to catch up on some studying that I have to do. I'm gonna go and sit down and do some work now but that's kind of an update for you. I am currently studying for my test on crime and punishment that is tomorrow morning. I've basically just been like looking up chapter summaries because my teacher asked us to review certain chapters so first I look up the summaries and I look at the spark notes and I kind of like write down any important elements or like ideas that are discussed in the chapter and then later I'm gonna reread those chapters and I also have another book that I have to read a few pages in and so that's kind of how I've been studying for that test. I love like writing down things whenever I'm studying I feel like I just retain information so much better that way but yeah I took a little bit of a break because I was hungry and I needed some fuel for my brain but now we're back to it and I'm probably gonna work on this for like a good while still.
