Whether you're creating jewelry or sculpting clay, one of the most important tools to have
is clay sculpting tools and this week I'm going to just do one for beginners. If you guys want
to see some of the tools that I've purchased and have been using, keep on watching this week's
video. So for this week's video, I'm we're going to just go over the clay sculpting tools for
beginners and I wanted to just show you what you get in a kit and then the ones that I use and what
how I like using them. This kit you can buy from AliExpress or from Amazon and the first ones I
want to show you is the wooden molding tools and with this one it has some texture that you can
add to your clay. You can just pull it down and it will leave scrape lines but I also like this
because you can mold it. Look it's curved like a spoon. You can mold it and this is something good
if you're making any of the heads. This clay is dry but just so you can see and you can mold it
on top which I think is really cool. The other thing that I like this specific one for, if I
need to cut a big piece of clay I can just push it down and cut it. Now this is the proper cutout
tools. Two of them have a serrated edge and then the others are just flat surfaces so if you're
using and remember there's pottery which is the clay dirt kind of product and then this one's the
air dry and the paper mache. So if you need to cut you can use this to cut some of your clay out of
the way and then you have smaller knives that you can use. This is called a textured brush
and it is a metal wire and you literally when you have clay you can add some texture to it.
You just pull it away you see the texture from the side.
Okay you also have the drilling tools and I think these ones speak for themselves. Both sides
have a size drill that you can use. If you have your clay is dry I'm not going to do this.
If your clay is dry you can just put it on and just drill through. If you're using paper mache
or porcelain clay for your earrings and you want to create a hole you can use these. Remember that
you need to like hold it close so you don't break and bend your tool end. It would have been
nice had they've made them smaller a little bit shorter but I know you can buy them short also.
Here are the metal balls and they do have a variety of sizes and it's a double end
double end metal ball. This is what I used when I was creating my faces and I needed to blend
my back and my front together. I love this I like the sizes the variety of sizes. When I was making
my faces I would just add this and just smoothly blend it around oops and because it has smaller
balls you can take it and go inside especially once it's partially dry your clay and you can
just make changes. This back part was what I used to smooth this part. Now this is dry I just dried
the front so that I can add the back and because I needed to fix it yours. If you want to be one of
the first to watch my videos ensure that you subscribe to my channel hit that notification
bell to be notified when I upload my post every Tuesday. Also guys I have changed the time I am
trying to post videos at eight o'clock in the morning so you can look for that update starting
from last week. Now here's another double edged carving tool. Now these ones at this side can
either be called all the cleanup tool these ones here are the big loop carving tool and
these ones when you're doing your product you want to just scrape off yeah you just do like that
okay and then this side is my favorite side because once I've done that I've made a mistake
or I need to blend I just blend it and I find you don't have to force it where it goes down where
you break your your metal you just go like this and it just cleans up nicely and then I generally
will take the metal balls after I've done that and then I'll just rub it together it will it
will remove any of the lines. Now these are called the dotting tool they are double end now what
people use these ones for is when they're doing their nails you'll see them if they want to make
designs they'll put something on and then put little dot dot dot I like them because if you
want to do eyes guys and you want to make your eyes out of the clay um oh I don't have my let's say I
don't have my what I need so let's just do this okay then you can take this and go around because
you can make eyes out of clay and make them actually look like eyes and you can just go dot
dot dot depending on the size then also if you want to make some dots on your on your jewelry
if you want to make some dots on your jewelry you can do that they have a variety of sizes
so you can have small to big dots now this is my favorite silicone tip I went and accidentally
pulled it out and it's just been hard to get it back in so I should have glued it but I like this
tip is like this tip here okay and so when you're doing when you're making your faces you're making
jewelry I just use that to smooth it out so that I don't have any jagged edges and this is a whole
bunch of my favorite ones so it's a double edge again and these are called either clay lifting
some of them are called clay lifting so you can lift your clay with it or it's called the lacing
tool on the edge and I use these the exact same way that I used this one which is my favorite one
but what I like about these ones is because it's metal if you want to um see when I was doing my
eyes I just went like this with some of these and it's just it's it's nice it doesn't give you um
it doesn't give you any rough edges on your clay and some of these I have no idea what they are
and then this is my other set that I like I like these I like these ones I like things where I'm
able to use it like a pen because I like fine pens when I'm creating my eyes I can just go back in
and generally if you're doing something and you want to use these fine prints
fine tips let it dry a little bit not too dry and then you can go back in
and you can create your shapes okay this one I used this part here
okay and then I told you that I really enjoy this and this just comes in it smooths everything out
