If You’re Going Through This, God is Trying to Speak to You
You keep asking God for a sign… but what if He's already been speaking and you’ve just been missing it?
Most people don’t realize this, but when God is trying to get your attention, He won’t shout. He’ll disrupt your life in subtle, even strange ways. If any of these signs are happening right now, it’s not random.
It’s a divine message you can’t afford to ignore.
If this hit your spirit, drop "I Hear You Lord" in the comments and don’t keep this to yourself, someone else needs this word too.

You keep asking God for a sign. But what if he's already been speaking, and you've just been
missing it? Most people don't realize this, but when God is trying to get your attention,
he won't shout. He'll disrupt your life in subtle, even strange ways. If any of these signs are
happening right now, it's not random. It's a divine message you can't afford to ignore.
Number one. God keeps blocking the way back. You've tried to go back to who you used to be,
but it just doesn't fit anymore. The habits that once gave you comfort now leave you feeling empty.
The people you used to run with feel distant, even when they're right next to you. You try to
force it, fake it, fill the silence, but it never feels right. That's not bad luck. That's divine
disruption. God loves you too much to let you stay stuck. That off feeling, that door that
keeps slamming shut, it's his protection, not his punishment. Psalm 37, 23-24 says,
The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.
Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.
Just like in Numbers 22, when Balaam tried to follow his own path, and God sent an angel to
block the way. Even a donkey could see it. Sometimes, God will interrupt your route to
rescue your calling. Number two. You feel pulled, but don't know why. You can't explain it,
but something's been shifting inside you. It's not anxiety, not burnout. It's a weight in your
spirit that keeps tugging at you when you're alone. A hunger you can't satisfy. You feel pulled
to pray, but don't know the words. You want to get closer to God, but don't know where to begin.
That pull, that ache, it's not emotional confusion. It's spiritual awakening. Psalm 42, 7 says,
Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls. All your waves and breakers have swept over me.
When God starts speaking, he doesn't shout, he stirs. He speaks in the depths of your soul,
where your distractions can't reach. And when you feel this inner restlessness,
it's not a breakdown, it's a breakthrough beginning. Number three. The silence is getting
louder. You've been asking God for answers, but all you're getting is quiet. No confirmations,
no goosebumps, no clear direction, just silence. The kind that makes you question if he's still
listening. But silence isn't the absence of God. It's often the atmosphere where he moves deepest.
Psalm 46, 10 says, Be still and know that I am God. Stillness isn't easy when you're desperate.
But in the Bible, silence always came before something significant. Before Jesus raised
Lazarus, he wept. Before the walls of Jericho fell, the people marched in silence. So if everything
around you feels still and quiet, don't panic. You're not being ignored, you're being refined.
Number four. What once filled you now feels shallow. Lately, it's like your passions are
fading. The stuff that used to excite you now feels dull, even draining. You try to enjoy it
like before, but your heart just isn't in it anymore. That's not a personality shift. That's
a spiritual shift. When God is calling you higher, he'll first empty your appetite for the lesser
things. You're not losing who you are. You're becoming who you're meant to be. Philippians 2,
13 says, For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.
So when old loves fade and new desires start to stir, don't resist it. That restlessness,
that emptiness, it means God is clearing space for what's next. Number five. You feel like you're
being broken, but it's not breaking you. Lately, it feels like everything in your life is shaking.
Relationships are shifting. Doors are closing. You're praying, but answers feel delayed.
You're tired, stretched, overwhelmed. But strangely, you're still standing. That strength isn't yours
alone. That's what happens when God starts breaking off what's not meant to carry forward.
You think you're falling apart, but really, you're falling into place. Psalm 34, 18 says,
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
You're not being crushed. You're being carved, refined, stripped of the distractions, the pride,
the weight you didn't even realize you were carrying. And on the other side of this breaking
is the version of you God always intended. Not weaker, wiser. Maybe all the silence, the shifts,
the setbacks. Maybe they weren't random. Maybe they were signs. Maybe God's been speaking this
whole time. And now you finally hear him. The question isn't, is he speaking? The real question
is, will you answer? If this hit your spirit, drop, I hear you, Lord, in the comments. And
don't keep this to yourself. Someone else needs this word too.
