Washington Nationals vs Atlanta Braves - FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS _ September 22, 2025 MLB Season

And hard to believe the final week of the regular season is here. The first pitch is lifted pretty deep to right toward the pole and it is gone. Wow. First pitch of the game Nunez with a solo homer. Remember last week in D.C. Chris Sale eight scoreless against these guys but Nunez waste. Michael Harris over in the gap and he will get to it. Cisco so for the next couple of hours this is the only. Game in Major League Baseball. Hassan Kim will go out to grab it but the Nunez home. And Gore gets him so he got profile with a fastball to slider here that. Ronald Acuna hits it high and this ball game is time. And Paul DeYoung is down on strike so make it now thirty thirty seven strikeouts. It's a team sport it's not tennis it's different. To second there's the first out and there's the second out Broome's not out there today. Michael Harris he lines this over the glove of Cruz and Atlanta is going to take the lead on his RBI double from Michael Harris the second. James Wood may be happy he doesn't have to face that to see fastball from Chris Sale tonight. And that is a called strike at the knees a thing of beauty swinging this it's too far away from the end of the season to try to hide from that deep to left here off the bat of Nunez. He almost got another one. There it is. You called it. Abrams goes after it for strikeouts now for Chris Sale. Miguel Cairo is ahead of that pace. Ground ball and a two will score and Drake Bolling just keeps raking. Marcelo Zuda line drive base hit. Bring another one home. Five to one brave. And Michael Harris continues to hit parade. Baldwin comes home six to one and there is still nobody out. Michael Harris is going to get second base he picked a good pitch to run on. It is a walk and another run appeal down he win the bottom of the third is over season. Maybe it is time for it to end. Line drive outside Kim reaches up to grab it. Fouled into the mid down goes Riley Adams Chris Sale five still very young. A 23 year old rookie puts this into play deep to left. He puts that in his terrace and it bounces down into the bullpen. Seven to two in the season two RBI single last time up. Here he goes again. This one's going to be extra bases to the wall and it will be a double for Drake Baldwin on the ground to second for six three wide throw and they don't get the double play in a run scores. Well normally it's C.J. Abrams that has had the throwing issues out there as a. In the air out to left center but just warning track power bases left loaded Braves do get one more eight toward that spot inside the zone. That's perfect. How about ninety nine from sale painted on the corner. Ground ball not Joe Alvarez can not knock it down. They're going to try to score three throw to the plate is late. Bases clearing double and the Nationals are back in this ball game. Line drive there's Matt Olsen he's got it that'll take us to the bottom of the fifth is a great skip. Kerry would say Miguel to be five games when he gets here the coffee will be better in the clubhouse. Oh yeah. Oh no. Did he catch that. They say he did. He had a circus catch in New York yesterday. You wouldn't believe. On one bounce Kim to Alan Tolson. Six four three to end the top of the six. Drake Baldwin is going to drive it a run. Or rather not Joe Alvarez is going to drive it around here I should say. Marcelo Zuniga comes home. Michael's going to try to get another stolen base and he's got it to tonight for number twenty three. But thankfully like you said there is no challenge. That's off the glove at Chaparro. And that stolen base will allow Michael Harris to come home and the Braves have reached double digits. For him the first one. This one does play at the plate potentially. Two on two outs two balls two strikes. Hassan Kim shallow left down the line and it will be Nunez to grab it and. To open up this series. Nick Allen makes a play. Rain then up and down from Triple-A Rochester a few times but then to the bigs for the last month he's going to bounce out here to end the top of the seventh. And Waldrop against Brad Lord and then Bryce Elder will go in Game 3 of the series as Baldwin is down on the sinker from Augusta Warren. Off of the pitcher Augusta Warren. First baseman Chaparro. All we need is the circus music to react differently. Michael already had two stolen bases he gets in the second here in the seventh. Hard hit but Nunez is able to gobble it up and he makes the throw we are through seven. Technically they are up a game on them if those end up being the final two teams. High bouncer. They got him. Now you just hope Suarez is OK as he tumbles to the ground matching matchup right away. Nick Allen to the other side of the bag. That one is. Kim takes one away from young. Shadow out to center. And one down. Played them seven times here over the final stretch of the season. Olsen out to right. But off the end of the bat and caught by Cruz Mitchell while finishing under five hundred probably has not happened very often. The way the Braves are going right now that's a real possibility six run lead as we. Swing and a miss good start to the top of the ninth the change up gets hassle. Broken bad. Kim backpedaling two down here in the top of the nine. Catcher Riley Adams toward Allen Allen makes a catch Braves win nine in a row. This team continues to roll this offense has been on fire. It was a good job by Chris sale tonight.
