First Lady Melania Trump announced the launch of Fostering the Future Together on Tuesday,

stilettos in the style So Kate.
Her remarks on the coalition were made during the United Nations General Assembly meetings.
She attended the speech given by her husband, President Donald Trump, to the General Assembly
on Tuesday.
As President Trump and First Lady Melania arrived at the U.N. building in New York City,
what was supposed to be a routine entrance turned awkward.
The couple posed briefly for photographers before stepping onto an escalator, only for
it to abruptly grind to a halt.
Melania, who was standing directly in front of the President and wearing high heels, jolted
forward when it stopped moving.
While the escalator adjacent to theirs was still operational, the couple opted to walk
up the motionless steps of the frozen one.
U.N. staffers reportedly tossed around the idea of stalling escalators and elevators
in the building as a way to highlight funding shortfalls the organization has faced under
Trump, according to Times of London.
One idea doing the rounds was to turn off the escalators and lifts and simply tell Trump
they ran out of money, so he had to walk up the stairs, the outlet reported.
Trump has scrapped about $1 billion in funding for the U.N. since taking office in January.
In his speech to the General Assembly, Trump quipped that he has ended seven wars and all
I got from the United Nations was an escalator that on the way up stopped right in the middle.
If the first lady wasn't in great shape, she would have fallen.
She's in great shape.
We're both in good shape.
We both stood.
He continued, adding, and then a teleprompter that didn't work.
This is these are the two things I got from the United Nations, a bad escalator and a
bad teleprompter.
Thank you very much.
And by the way, it's working now.
Just went on.
Thank you.
White House Press Secretary Carolyn Leavitt demanded that United Nations officials investigate
whether an escalator at headquarters was deliberately sabotaged.
If someone at the U.N. intentionally stopped the escalator as the president and first lady
were stepping on, they need to be fired and investigated immediately, Leavitt wrote on
X, citing a Times of London report that staffers had been overheard joking that they may switch
off the escalator.
Returning to the first lady's speech, Melania stated that fostering the future together's
mission is to ensure that every child can flourish in the digital era.
Melania described innovation as wonderful and pointed out that our nations benefit from
advancements in technology, saving lives, expanding access to knowledge, connecting
people and, of course, safety.
Great minds have turned marbles into microchips, paper airplanes into drones and kites into
satellites, the first lady said.
In her remarks, Melania also reminded guests that the next generation will use tech to
revolutionize how we live, travel, design and connect.
The objectives of the coalition's initial phase will include prioritizing the personal
development of children, unifying efforts surrounding children, technology and education,
collaborating with the private sector to provide access to innovative education technology,
including artificial intelligence, robotics and blockchain, and exchanging solutions
encompassing the advantages and risks of artificial intelligence.
According to the Office of the First Lady, fostering the future together members will
include the spouses or equivalent representatives of heads of government.
Melania is set to host the coalition's inaugural meeting at the White House next year.
The first lady's remarks came days after her recent visit to the UK with her husband.
The presidential couple returned to the United Kingdom for an unprecedented second state
visit, and Melania made sure her wardrobe told its own story.
From heritage nods to bold evening glamour, the first lady's fashion choices balanced
diplomacy, tradition and her signature style.
Melania set the tone the moment she landed at Stansted Airport in a tightly belted Burberry
trench coat worn over Dior riding boots and paired with Saint Laurent sunglasses in the
style so caked.
Throughout the visit, Melania's ensemble struck a balance between glamour and diplomacy.
Whether in Dior, Burberry, Carolina Herrera or Ralph Lauren, each look was carefully curated
to honour both American design and European heritage.
