Namaskar, a healthy bouncy hair is beautiful to look at. It is like an ornament of your
face. People want such hair, but what goes against it is worry. People feel that when
hair fall, what will happen? Hair would be less, they would look ugly. But understand
that hundreds strands coming out every day falling is very natural because body knows
what is weak has to be thrown. Then only a new can come. So weak has to go, new and strong
has to come. This is a natural phenomenon. So don't worry at all about it. And certain
things we should do to see that all such excessive hair loss and all that is avoided. And here
comes few changes in your food habits, in your lifestyle and in the management of hair
which we have. Here comes the place of yoga. Yoga really would help you to have a better
hair growth and a lovely face again. Well, let's understand the causes of excessive hair
loss. One very major factor is hereditary genetic. Here, nothing much can be done. We
have to face it and love it. Little thing could be improved. Second could be deficiencies
in our body, iron deficiencies, calcium deficiency, anemic condition that would cause hair loss.
Even sinusitis, cold cough and all the medicines taken for that also would cause hair loss.
Third, stress, tension. Do you know how much it affects everything? And so naturally it's
going to affect your hair. So learn to live life tension free. Fourth, dandruff in hair.
When we are not cleaning our hair properly and dandruff occurs also, then that definitely
causes hair loss. And fifth, use of chemicals, use of artificial chemicals for colors and
such things will definitely cause hair loss. So try and see that all these causes are understood,
attended well. Let us understand from yogic angle. What are the things which we are supposed
to do? First, definitely a proper diet because our anemic condition should go. Deficiencies
of our body should go. So have a simple sattvic food regularly. Second, proper circulation
on our face region and a relaxed attitude towards all that. So I would recommend practically
three asanas when it comes to hair care. One, Hastapadasana, where you are bending back,
bending forward, staying in that position for some time and coming back. Second, Trikonasana,
where you are definitely forward bending, but making your spine straight so that you
can create a triangle and stay in that position for some time. And third, Viparit Karani,
when you are going topsy-turvy, up, legs up, head down and in a relaxed state. So these
three asanas I would definitely recommend we should be doing in our routine. Well, we
should do some pranayamas which really help in bringing oxygen to your whole system and
naturally good health. Two pranayamas I'll recommend. One, Bhastrika, where you are breathing
in and breathing out fast with abdominal movement and do that at least 30 rounds and that would
work wonders. Second pranayama, alternate breathing pranayama, where you see both the
dorsals are functioning very well. Naturally, body will be healthy. So these two pranayamas
should be done regularly. Well, there are some very natural ingredients which are available
in our kitchen around us. One is Amla and second is lemon. Take an Amla powder, put
lemon juice in that and make a paste and then apply that paste on your scalp all over. Keep
it there itself for some time. Just leave it and wash your hair. It's very, very simple.
Understand that vitamin C of Amla as well as lemon helps in strengthening our follicles.
It prevents hair loss and it prevents even premature hair greying. Beautiful paste we
should apply and help ourselves. Well, our second natural ingredient, which is so useful
for hair is aloe vera. Aloe vera is like a magic. It really helps in strengthening hair,
grows better hair and it makes your hair bouncy also and it works like a conditioner also.
It makes your hair smooth and soft. It is so simple to use this. You have aloe vera,
you cut, remove the gel, fresh gel from aloe vera, bring it in a cup, smoothen it and apply
it on your hair. You don't have to mix anything with aloe vera, just pure gel. Apply it and
keep it for 45 minutes and then wash it out. Very effective for weak hair because it really
strengthens your hair. Well, one more very natural ingredient are curry leaves and coconut
oil. Now roast curry leaves and put them in coconut oil and then boiling and then boiling,
when it becomes dark, blackish in color, then switch off the gas, let it cool down and strain
it. Now this oil you could just apply on your scalp nicely and keep it there for an hour,
at least for an hour and then wash it with a simple natural shampoo. Now this natural
things are naturally going to help your natural growth. It will bring bounce and it will make
you feel much confident and better. Well, there are certain things which you should do in a day
anytime and in that massaging your scalp, you know with your fingertip, it really relaxes. Second,
take a comb and comb from back to front, back combing. It really helps increasing circulation
to the root region. Third, whenever possible, you use buttermilk or curd and rub that on your scalp
and then take bath. It would really help removing dandruff from your hair. Another, wash your hair
with even neem leaves. You see bitter neem leaves, boil it with water and use this water for your
hair wash. So you will never catch any infection or any such thing. You will prevent the problems.
So these are few things. And then finally, of course, a good sleep, good night's sleep definitely
helps in everywhere and so even for your hair. So try and do all these things and that would
really help. We should learn to live stress-free life, take things as it is and not get bothered
about it. After all, you are not defined by how you look. You are what you are. Try and
see that you have confidence in yourself. You smile and just spread smile around and
that would be a very good life. You will be surprised that key to so many problems lies
in our culture, lies in yoga, lies around us. Namaskar.
