Italy 🇮🇹 vs. Belgium 🇧🇪 - Quarter Final | Highlights | Men's World Championships 2025

The Red Devils ready to receive and the quarterfinal is underway. Dulse to the middle nice and quick and a steady start for Belgium. Ginelli good serve Desmet meets it well twice to the middle how about that? One of the best names in the game right there Koolman. Koolman with the float serve Michioletto with the reception deep from Rousseau and he finds the baseline. Here is Rousseau of Perugia. Desmet good ball into Dulston oh that's off the boot and Belgium have to go again Reggers dig by Michioletto off the hands Dereau calm and collected backcourt Desmet it's a good block Reggers he's going to get this one back oh this is superb Botelho's waiting Michioletto free ball feels like this has to go down now for Belgium Reggers oh it is it isn't still in the air sensational stuff Desmet into the block awesome point I mean how about the tenacity on defense from both early right as you feel like you've got to press to get your way back in and that's when the errors creep in and that don't help either Dereau 89 first time he's had a swing yeah Koolman Romano Dulston's managed to get something on that bit of fight back from Belgium but it just means it's coming back with interest from Rousseau how cultured Reggers I'm not sure Belasso needed to play that but he did and Botelho Dereau thought about the swing Reggers not a lot he could do there oh that's so good so good from Gennady so good from Garciulo Romano back around this is where the trouble really started for Belgium Desmet gets to go again oh off the boot well played Botelho sliding in oh put down by Vachon bit of anger from the middle Belgium needed that one you think from a psyche standpoint Botelho clipped up off the net Reggers oh lovely swing Garciulo serving for the set Desmet with the first touch and a block does it excellent way to describe it absolutely shell-shocked started so well felt like maybe we were going to see a slug fest and then all of a sudden it was just an absolute one-sided beating well I'm not sure slugs is the nicest way to refer to it and it reinvigorates you somehow you come back even stronger in set two let's see if that happens 0-1 that's another service error different kind of outside hitter Reggers oh speaking of angles there he is Gennady he's playing like he wants this done quickly as well isn't he Dereau oh there's Sam Dereau but it's over off the boot how hard is it to hit the floor against the Italians today Micheleto with the tip into Dereau Dolst out to Rotti left-handed and kept up off to the net from Botelho miracle save he can't believe that he missed that wide open net and a chance to put it Reggis Micheleto receiving into the block it was Dolst who got the touch which is a big physical disparity between those two Dereau into Rousseau and it's down a team execute at such a high level but these battles are much more fun for us spectators Rousseau just restores a little bit of calm Romano arrives and delivers Yuri Romano Gennady Dereau again it's a long way off the net for Dolst but Rotti goes corner to corner big swing from Seppi Rotti flying high undersized opposite with a big big leap it is enough everything is enough today so far for Italy Dolst Rotti Micheleto's there backcourt he's gonna swing on this and find clean court for 19-12 and he goes again Micheleto Rotti the target Reggis oh has that hit the line 2013 another good serve Reggis opts for the tip Botelho oh there's so much space for Martial Botelho Rousseau goes hard again well played Dereau oh wow that was a superb serve but Italy have had enough good things happen today and that is one of them Garciulo serve points block points and attack points here he is serving for the set Rotti receives out to Reggis into the block and a little bit too easy in the end but Italy very much looking like they're heading onwards third set underway Reggis oh there are records again has got into the block here he is Mr Fahrenheit himself into land socked oh wow Ferraregas yeah there are some interesting facial hair choices with these Italians aren't they Micheleto another one D'Artagnan-esque oh he's got an ace there another good serve Dereau oh it's a monster it's huge it's Roberto Rousseau in the middle cool man 12-15 oh slammed bystander if you're in a Belgian jersey well yeah even more so you're in here's Desmet into Gianelli great swing from Botelho good response there Dereau receives early Rousseau gets an arm on it oh here we go is this a challengeable ball I think they're going to call double touch because they think okay here we go one two I like when they call you out on feet give your team a chance Gianelli serves can go again out to Dereau oh what a touch from Gianelli I love that they're spinning the wheel back there ah they do what they want Gianelli right on the tape Romano with an open net Micheleto did so much damage earlier in the set from the service line oh and he's going to do it beautiful beautiful ace into the seam 21-16 same serve better result some reception from Regas but the danger not done oh look at this are you kidding me with the spike set from Gianelli celebration snow angels one ace in the match can he finish it with an ace can Belgium hang in for a little bit longer absolutely not Roberto Rousseau corner to corner finishes it in style Italy have dismantled Belgium we thought they were good against Argentina they were great today
