In The Fellowship of the Ring, the scene where Arwen saves Frodo is a dramatic and intense moment during the first part of the story.
After Frodo is stabbed by a Morgul blade by the Witch-king at Weathertop, he becomes gravely ill and begins to fade into the shadow world. Aragorn rushes to save him, and the group decides they must get Frodo to Rivendell as quickly as possible to heal him.
Arwen, an Elven princess and Aragorn's beloved, arrives and takes Frodo on her horse. She rides swiftly through the forest and open fields, carrying Frodo while being chased by the Nazgûl (Ringwraiths) – terrifying servants of Sauron who want the Ring and Frodo dead.
The chase is fast-paced and filled with tension. Arwen shows both courage and skill as she outpaces the Nazgûl and reaches the Ford of Bruinen, a shallow river near Rivendell. There, she turns to confront the nine Ringwraiths.
She challenges them, saying, "If you want him, come and claim him!" As they advance, she calls upon the power of the river, which rises into a magical flood shaped like galloping horses, sweeping away the Nazgûl.
Frodo is then taken to Rivendell, where he is healed by Elrond.
