Hello, how are you?
Today I brought a very delicious recipe for you.
This recipe of mine is low in carbohydrates.
It's great if you're looking to lose weight
with a low-carb diet,
or if you want to control your blood sugar.
It turns into a delicious mousse,
very creamy, without heavy cream,
without condensed milk,
without gelatin to give it consistency,
and without any kind of starch.
You're going to love it.
And I'm going to tell you how to give it
that classic lime mousse look, really green,
without adding any artificial coloring
or anything processed.
You're going to love it.
Stay until the end, because you won't want to miss it.

I post new videos every day, and you're going to love them.
Remember that the ingredients,
along with their quantities and nutritional information,
are always listed below in the description.
So the first ingredient I have here is my natural yogurt.
You can use store-bought yogurt if you prefer.
Ideally, though, if you're not going to use
my homemade natural yogurt, which turns out much creamier,
as you can see from its consistency here, look.
I have a video here on the channel
teaching you how to make it.
If you're not using that
and prefer to buy store-bought yogurt,
choose a Greek yogurt, unsweetened,
with as few ingredients as possible.
Or you can strain the yogurt at home
by taking the yogurt and putting it in a container.
For example, you have this container here.
Imagine there's nothing in it.
You place a strainer on top,
put a very clean dish towel over it,
pour the yogurt on top, cover it, and put it in the fridge.
The whey will start dripping down.
The whey that collects at the bottom here,
you should use it because it's whey protein,
a high biological value protein, very healthy.
And the top part,
which will be the creamiest part of the yogurt,
is what you use for the recipe.
You can even skip this step,
but the result will be a bit more liquid than creamy,
and it might change the final consistency,
just so you know.
Remember that when you make yogurt at home,
you have control over the entire process
and you know exactly what you're putting in.
And if you're going to use store-bought plain yogurt,
choose one with as few ingredients as possible,
basically just milk,
at most reconstituted milk and live cultures,
with no sugar or anything else added.
So to our yogurt, I'm going to add lime juice or lemon juice,
which will give the mousse a really delicious touch.
And by adding the lime now,
it will already start to curdle the yogurt more,
making it even thicker.
At first it's liquid, but since there's acid here,
it helps it coagulate more, see?
And it keeps getting thicker and thicker,
but this will take some time.
I'm also going to add the lime zest now
to give it even more lime flavor.
And all the bioactive compounds.
Remember, I have a video here talking about what happens
when you consume lemon every day,
and another one discussing the benefits of lemon peel.
There are two really great videos on this,
and I'll leave them linked below in the description for you.
I told you this would take a little while.
It's already getting creamier, see?
But it will take some time.
While this is curdling,
I'm going to take about three or four spoonfuls
of this mixture and put them here,
just so we have a bit of a base
to blend my other ingredients to make it easier,
since the amount of the other ingredients isn't that large.
So I'm going to put our avocado in here
to blend in the food processor.
Let me use the same spoon.
The avocado will help make this mousse greener,
giving it that real lime mousse look,
but without using store-bought gelatin,
pre-made juice, or any of that.
Avocado is also very rich
in ultra-healthy monounsaturated fats,
which are excellent for the heart,
and when it goes in the fridge,
it will give a creamier consistency
without needing to use gelatin.
Remember that I have a video here
talking about the benefits of avocado,
which is also a fruit very rich in fiber
with little net carbohydrate,
so it's an excellent addition,
very rich in antioxidants, and very healthy.
And I'm also going to add the sweetener here to blend.
If you're not making this low-carb,
you can even substitute with demerara sugar or honey,
but that will add calories and carbohydrates.
I really suggest that you use
some kind of non-caloric sweetener,
and even if you want to use a few drops of stevia,
you can, because this doesn't go on the stove.
Let's blend this well.
So, look closely.
We've truly blended this mixture really, really well
until it's wonderfully nice and incredibly creamy.
I'm just going to carefully scrape off the excess here
and thoroughly mix everything together.
Let me quickly grab my spatula to scrape it all clean.
When you make this delicious recipe,
tell me how it turned out,
and take a look at my playlist of low-carb recipes,
healthy sweets, and there's also a playlist
of recipes with yogurt.
If you like these healthy recipes,
especially healthy desserts, leave a like.
It really helps me out here on the channel as well.
Now, here's what we do.
I put it in here, scrape everything well
so nothing goes to waste, and mix it thoroughly.
I'm going to mix it here with this whisk,
which actually makes it easier.
Give it a really good mix until the color is nice and even,
thoroughly blended throughout.
And did you happen to see
just how beautifully the color turns out?
It's a wonderfully soft green,
and it genuinely doesn't even look like avocado.
Instead, it looks much more like a vibrant lime,
and it is truly very pretty.
Let me scrape the spoon here
since it still had a bit left on it,
so nothing goes to waste.
I'm also going to carefully grab my spatula
and thoroughly scrape down the sides of the bowl.
Now, let's chill this incredibly delicious treat.
I'm going to gently put it into this specific container here
and then carefully take it over to the refrigerator
until it reaches the perfect consistency that I want.
Hold on, I'm going to fill it up here,
and I'll be right back with it ready for you.
Just wait a second.
I just took it out of the fridge,
and I'm going to show you the consistency it gets.
Make this at home, and you'll love it.
Look at how amazing and creamy it turns out.
I'm going to put it in the glass here so you can see,
and I'll add a bit more so you can see it again.
Look.
Look at the consistency, super creamy.
Make it, and you'll love it.
Look here now so you can see the consistency.
Make it at home, and you'll love it.
Just look at this.
You can enjoy this delicious treat
as part of your breakfast, as a snack, or even as a dessert.
Tell me what time of day you'll be enjoying this treat.
I'd love to see your comment.
Remember to like the video because that helps me out too.
And share it with someone who would like it,
someone who needs it.
Let's spread this chain of goodness together.
That's what I want here on the channel.
Let's give it a try.
Mm.
Look at this consistency.
The lime flavor is amazing.
There's absolutely no taste of avocado,
and the texture is wonderful.
I love this recipe.
