Novak Djokovic: 2019 ATP Highlight Reel

Yes, Djokovic at his very best. Well, that was some outrageous tennis from both actually. He crunched the backhand cross-court. Basilashvili. Outstanding Djokovic. Yeah, we can hear you. Djokovic dials in. Well, this team and the majority of this crowd... Good pace from Djokovic to get up to the drop shot and then execute the backhand as well. Tsitsipas just testing him out. Djokovic as quick as anyone up to these short balls. Oh, you've got to be kidding me. He's not human, Novak Djokovic. It's Djokovic who dominates on the dirt. It's another milestone victory here in Madrid as the world number one picks up his 33rd Masters 1000 title. It ties in with Rafael Nadal as the most ever. It's his third in the Spanish capital. His first win on the clay since lifting the trophy aloft at Roland Garros in 2016. And you wouldn't be surprised, would you, if he added yet another Grand Slam title in Paris in a few weeks' time. He's had to beat two of the most informed players on the tour right now in Dominic Thiem and now Stefano Tsitsipas. And he couldn't have been more impressive tonight. The celebration... Last but not least, Feli. You looked amazing this week, man. I mean, I don't know who your stylist is, but your suits, everything that you were wearing these ten days was unbelievable. Well done. Oh, showtime! Well, it was another outstanding drop shot from Djokovic. He was just a little bit further back in the court, so Del Potro had more time to track it back. Oh, he's made it. End it like Novak Djokovic, just as we were complimenting Schwarzmann's court coverage. This time it's Novak Djokovic's turn to step up. He always somehow finds a way to hit the passing shot, too. Well, a loss for Wards. Masterful by Novak Djokovic. He didn't play the best of them. But then what defense? What a point. Defense at its best from Novak Djokovic. Well, this is extraordinary tennis. Magnificent. Needed that one. And it all started. Staggeringly good. Pence from another world. Oh my goodness, just keeps coming. This is next level from Novak. That is world class. And the reason it was a great point, because at no stage did Djokovic panic. Novak Djokovic is back with a bang. It's a first title in Tokyo at the very first time of asking for the world number one. He's back to full fitness and firing on all cylinders. John Millman has had a wonderful week coming all the way from qualifying to the final, but he just couldn't match the relentless and ruthless consistency of that man. He picks up a fourth title of 2019 and a 76th of a stellar career. And his level has been special all week from Djokovic. At this stage of the season, he can be unbeatable. And there maybe is that feeling about Djokovic from now until the end of the year. So good. On the stretch, Novak Djokovic. Is there any, ever, anyone better at a shot like that? Another beauty from Novak Djokovic. What a start he has made to this match. I thought Shapovalov had done so well picking up this short ball. Remarkable from Novak Djokovic. It's got to be that good right now from Novak Djokovic. This is an outrageous level that we're seeing. Well, there was just no way through. Causing a few problems. Oh, brilliant. We have a second serve you're alluding to. Plenty of double faults from Shapovalov. He's top him at stages. Coming at the big moments. Getting himself into trouble. Oh, brilliant. Sensational forehand. Yeah, nothing he could do there. That was just too good from Djokovic. It is a fifth Rolex Parrish Masters title for Novak Djokovic. And a 34th Masters trophy in total. Simply too solid today for Denis Shapovalov who's had a wonderful week in the French capital but couldn't find the answers to break down the defences of Djokovic. Perfection in Paris. And a fantastic way to end his regular ATP season. He will head to London brimming with confidence. Yes, he's made it! Fabulous tennis for both men. Showtime in London. Devastating from Djokovic. It's a sensational point from Thiem as well. Rock solid foundations. Thiem which is enjoying the absolute battering ram and a huge hitting in that point. Came forward, it wasn't a bad volley. He's missed it! Oh my goodness, what defence! That was incredible! Number four. Nice. Just incredible. Federer still with the break. 3-2.
