UFO Reports Take Center Stage in Congressional Hearings Amid Public Outcry - Eric Burlison

However, our next guest, Congressman Eric Burleson, is doing whatever he can to make sure the truth does get out to the American public. Eric represents Missouri's 7th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. A proven conservative, he serves on the House Oversight Committee and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. UFOs is the perfect topic for our guest, whom I just heard speak at the NEFCON 2025 conference in Bozeman, Montana, this past summer. Followed by his episode, we're going to talk to three more people who are experts on the topic of portals. Your mind is going to be blown. First up, we've got U.S. Congressman Eric Burleson. Eric, how are you doing today? I found out you just got off a flight. I'm doing good. Luckily, the flight was on time. That's about it. Is that a lot of pressure to help save America with all the responsibilities you have on your plate? You know, that's one of the reasons why I ran for office. I gave up my career, much of my life to do this, because I feel like this precious thing that we've been given by our founding fathers and by our creator is really going to fall apart if we don't diligently try to pull it together. The reason why I'm passionate about this topic is because it cuts at the core of where we stand with our federal government. Does the federal government own us or do we own this government? Should we continue to allow it to run amok and without any kind of oversight from any elected officials whatsoever, be able to do some of the things that they've been doing in our intelligence community in particular? That's why, to me, that's why I'm focused on this and why I think it's important. Eric, you're doing a phenomenal job. We're going to dive in deep to this UFO UAP topic. Why are you so interested in this specific topic? Well, again, it has to do with what is our role. There's a lot of time, money, and effort being spent from multiple branches, from multiple programs and agencies on this topic. I'm on the oversight committee and specifically on the disclosures task force. It's our responsibility to identify things that it's time for the American people to learn the truth about. We have focused on the JFK assassination, MLK's assassination, the RFK assassination. We are focused on the Epstein list. We are also focused on this topic as well. Look, it's not because I find it as a personal pet project. It's because I have a responsibility. And this kind of, to my previous point, cuts to the heart of what I think is important for our government. Absolutely. That's why you're currently in office, because people want the truth. So thank you for serving. What is going on with the task force on the declassification of federal secrets? Can you give us a little bit of dirt on that? Yeah. I think we've had a lot of success when it came to the JFK files. Look, I walked into that believing that Lee Harvey Oswald most likely acted alone. I would now have to take a step back and say it's at the very least really concerning. A lot of the documents that have been released since 2017 and under Trump again in just these first few months, these documents are really damning to the CIA and point to the fact that they were either involved in a cover-up or that they were involved in a cover-up. The question is, what were they covering up? Were they covering up that they knew and weren't able to respond or stop the Oswald assassination? Or that they, God forbid, that they were actually involved in it themselves. So you have to come to one of those conclusions because of the information that we've gathered recently. Absolutely. These are entities that are here on this earth, that have been on this earth, who knows how long, and that we, you know, we think they're coming in from way out. Maybe they did millennial ago, but they're here and they're in these deep water areas. And that's why, I mean, like we say, we know more about the face of the moon than we do what's, what's going on there. And we have a higher propensity of sightings around these five or six, I believe, deep area, deep water areas. And so to me, it just, um, it creates a, um, a question there. And then when we have naval personnel telling me that we have these sightings and that these there's these underwater craft they're chasing that are doing hundreds of miles an hour. Eric, can you tell us about the recent hiring of David Grush on your team to explore this topic? How has he been a great asset? Yeah, from the very beginning, whenever we were looking into this, um, even before the task force began the, we've had two hearings over the last couple of years. And what became obvious to me is that we don't really have the talent, um, or someone with the, with the ability to navigate the intelligence community. And so David Grush came out as a whistleblower. He, from every conversation that I had with people and look within the UFO community or UAP community, um, most people you'll find are factions and they, and they hate each other and they all have bad things to say about each other. But with David Grush, he is, seems to be respected amongst everyone that you talk to. And so I felt, um, that, you know, so we pitched it to him. I thought it was a long shot, um, but he's graciously agreed. Not because he needs a job. He, he agreed to come on staff so that we could, he could help us navigate this, this, uh, disclosure. Did you have a lot of Americans that were reaching out to you asking you personally, can you please help us dig in deep to all these different cases that the government has been hiding about lying about covering up for whatever reason? Did you get a lot of requests from people in Missouri and around the country saying, please, can you dig in deeper for us? Yeah. The moment that I was in the first hearing and I was because I was a member of oversight of that subcommittee. Uh, whenever I went back to the district, overwhelmingly, that seems to be a topic that people are very interested in. And, and so it's, um, it clearly is something that people are passionate about. And so there, there it's, you know, look, the American people have a lot of, um, a lot of concerns about this and rightly so. And so I think that we should be transparent and fully transparent. What have you discovered while being in those congressional hearings? And when did they all start? Can you give us like a rundown of what it's like being in one? How long do they last? You said you've been to two so far? Yeah. So they're, they, they're very long hearings, but because you have so many people, um, talking, they, they, they only limit you to five minutes. So each witness gets five minutes to do their opening statements. And then each member only gets five minutes to ask questions. So it's really like riding a bull. You, you feel like once the gates opened, you've got just a limited amount of time to try to follow this dialogue where it might go. And every time I've been in, you know, involved in one of these hearings, I've walked away from my five minutes and regretted things that I wish I had thought to ask in that moment. But sometimes you don't know until, until after you're done. But it just is one of the, it's just one of the frustrating parts about it. But you're learning a ton on that topic, even from what you shared at the Nefcon conference, everybody was like glued to every word you had to say from stage. And I think you had an hour to speak, but I could have heard you speak for three hours. There was so much information you were giving. Um, when you go to one of these congressional hearings, are many other people sharing a little bit about things they saw, documents they have, who is all sharing for the five minutes? Right. So the witnesses each get five minutes and most of it is their narrative. It's their firsthand experience. The, the first two hearings that we had, um, were, were people that were testifying, including David Grush that were not testifying about experiencing UAP firsthand. Um, they were investigating it or they were in a program that became aware of it or, um, but, and then the, but then our second hearing we've, well, I will say we had some people in the first hearing that did see something firsthand. We had, um, David Fravor, who is a pilot who saw a tic-tac shaped object, um, off, you know, that was, that's called the Nimitz event. So we did have, we did have those kinds of firsthand witnesses and, uh, and people from the Sean Graves from the, um, from, from the, I believe he was off the coast of Florida and was able to see some UAPs. Wow. But, but in, but in most of the time, what we're, when people are giving their testimony, it's of things that are distant. They didn't get their hands on it. They didn't get close to it. And so it's really hard to get, um, to really get an idea of what it is that they're talking about. And so it is our goal to try to get people that are firsthand witness, hold witnesses that, that might be able to have had some kind of experience where they've made contact or, or been around these devices that once they've landed. And we're going to be talking about portals in these upcoming episodes, but today we're focusing on the UAPs, the UFOs, and the fact that the government is even having this congressional hearings about it. It tells me absolutely something is happening around our globe on an escalating scale. There's so many more sightings today than ever before. So people in this congressional hearing are coming forward, sharing for a couple of minutes about what they saw. Did anyone share that they were taken in any way, kidnapped any of that physical contact with any weird, strange beings? I've spoken with people that have made that claim and I, look, I, on that topic, on any and all of these topics, I remain skeptical. Um, I'm going to listen to everybody and I'm going to, um, you know, I'm, I'm not going to judge, but I am going to try to keep in mind that sometimes what they're, what they believe happened may not be the actual reality. And so that's what, that's kind of the lens that I, I take. I look at these things. I'm from Missouri. You're going to have to show me before I believe that when it comes to the portal topic that you mentioned that you look, we've, some of the videos that are, you know, and every one of these videos is a blurry video, right? From some object that's distant. Um, it appears like it, they look like balls of plasma, um, for at least from a distance. And some people look at those and say, that looks like a portal. Some people just say that might be some natural phenomenon, but, uh, maybe there is some technology that's able to create and control a, a plasma orb of some kind, but until we actually get more information and more facts about it, I'm not going to jump to a conclusion. Yeah, no, that, that makes sense. And everybody is coming from all different backgrounds, experiences, and what they seen, didn't see the fact that you're on the battle lines to get truth is why we greatly respect who you are and what you're doing. Have you run into any ex military or anyone that is now in government or used to work for the government in any other capacity that has been to any underground bases has seen anything wild and strange has seen government documents of things that might've been, um, covered up or, or, uh, in secret hiding for two or three decades, have you met or had any interesting conversations on that aspect? You know, look, yes, I have. I've, I've spoken with, with people that are in the government and outside that, that have, uh, or at least they are contracting and once worked for the government. Um, and, and I've heard lots of stories and many of them are, are public. So you, for example, you can hear the story of Matthew Brown, that interview that occurred, um, Jake Barber has been very public about his firsthand experiences, um, in the crash retrieval program. And so there, there are a lot of either active military or, or retired military that are, that are coming forward. The second congressional hearing, you said the first one, different people were sharing for the five minutes of what they saw and all the pieces coming together and you get to ask questions. You're going to talk about the second congressional hearing. Can you explain what happened in the second one and what insight you got after you were there? Yeah. The key witness in that hearing was, um, was Lou Elizondo. He, he has, um, he, apparently he was part of the OSAP and ATIP program may very well, I mean, he has, he has knowledge of the legacy program may, may, may very well be involved in the legacy program or was involved. Um, I don't know, but he, um, he gave some pretty compelling testimony about his, his interactions as an intelligence officer. Um, can you share anything of what he shared? Well, the video, I mean, you can watch the hearing. It's, it's on the, in the public space and it's on YouTube. And so, and he has a book that he's published as well. So most of it is that he was kind of drawn into this program. He was, he was read in or briefed and then, um, went about once he realized that this, that, that things that they were not following the law, that they were not being properly transparent to Congress. He tried to go about it and I think successfully went about declassifying videos. The three videos that became famous that the New York Times had released were basically the photos, the video photos and videos that both Lou Elizondo, Christopher Mellon and others had worked to make sure that they were released and, and, um, and, and do so lawfully. This will air after that third hearing, so of course this is a precursor. What and why do they plan on having a third hearing about the UFOs and UAPs? Probably first and foremost, the public is demanding it. They're demanding more information and they're demanding a public hearing. In doing so, I think that what we've tried to do is bring forward the witnesses that have reached out to us that are willing to talk, which not all of them are willing to go on the stand and be public and have their face displayed all over national television and be ridiculed on social media. But the ones that are brave enough to do what we've tried to identify are individuals that have firsthand experience. So unlike a lot of the previous witnesses, people that have encountered these things firsthand. So we have Jeffrey Nusatelli, who is an Air Force veteran, served for 20 plus years of service in national security, investigated a series of UAP incursions near missile defense sites. And then we have Alexandra Wiggins, who observed a series of UAP during routine operations while serving in ops aboard the USS Jackson near San Diego. And then we have Dylan Borland, who reported observing an unidentified triangular craft back in 2012. And so later, he worked with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and was able to provide information to AERO, which is the agency that's investigating UAP. This is just fascinating. I don't know if you know this about myself, but when I was 12, I was with five other kids on my dad's farm, mom and dad's farm there in Wisconsin, and we all saw a UFO. And I called the, it's about five minute ordeal. When we saw it, it kind of hovered above the ground. We saw weird sparks flying out of it. You'll come up with our episode, but we've done at least three or four series since then. I had watched my account for 25 minutes of what actually happened. I called a news station right after they said we were the 66th person that called in, in a matter of minutes after we saw this weird object. So I was always fascinated by this. And then I worked in Hollywood on different TV shows and film productions. And Steven Spielberg did a whole series on Taken, and I worked to the VIP after party on that series, Taken. So I've always been interested in this topic because I know what I saw, not certain beings, but I definitely saw the craft. And I know it was wild and weird and not something I ever saw before. And then we had about 15 to 17 army helicopters flying above my parents' farm about 10 minutes after. So my parents knew something absolutely went down within a half a mile of our farm. So this is a very interesting topic to me. Thank you for digging in deep, finding the truth, interviewing people, discovering and pressing forward because not a lot of people today are doing that.
