nǐ hǎo, nǐ jīn tiān zuò le shén me? nǐ zěn me yàng?
as always, let's recap on what we've learned before
how do you say next year?
míng nián
and last year?
qù nián
and this year?
jīn nián
excellent!
how would you say I want to go to China to travel?
wǒ xiǎng qù zhōng guó lǚ yóu
how do you say and then in Chinese?
rán hòu
how would you say I go to the gym and then I return home?
wǒ qù jiàn shēn fǎng rán hòu huí jiā
how would you say something is fun?
hǎo wǎr or hǎo wán
how do you say the word city?
chéng shì
have a go at saying the city is fun
chéng shì hǎo wǎr
how would you say last week I went to the UK?
shàng gè xīng qī wǒ qù le yīng guó
shàng zhōu wǒ qù le yīng guó
and to say I will do something
say next week I will go to China
xià gè xīng qī wǒ yào qù zhōng guó
how do you say can in Chinese?
kě yǐ
how would you say I can go?
wǒ kě yǐ qù
excellent job!
let's learn our new words for today then
jué de
means to think or to feel
jué de
wǒ jué de
how would you say then I feel very good?
wǒ jué de hěn hǎo
next we have the word wú liǎo
wú liǎo means boring
wú liǎo
so to say I am bored you could say
wǒ hěn wú liǎo
here we have chū qù
chū qù means to go out
the pronunciation for this one is a little bit tricky
the first word chū and then qù
chū qù
so to say I want to go out you would say
wǒ xiǎng chū qù
and to say I will go out you could say
wǒ yào chū qù
again just to recap here we have kě yǐ
kě yǐ means can
there's a few other ways to say can and able to in Chinese
but for today we'll stick to this one
kě yǐ
next we have lèi
lèi means tired
lèi
so to say I'm very tired you could say
wǒ hěn lèi
next we have the word nà
nà has a few meanings
in today's lesson it carries the meaning of saying then
or in that case
nà
it will all make sense in today's conversation later
here we have tài
it means too much of something
what you normally would say is
tài and then an adjective at the end
so you could say too tired would be
tài lèi
something is too boring would be
tài wú liǎo
okay and here we have the word
yǒu diǎn
you might be able to remember diǎn from our previous lesson
but diǎn can also have the meaning of a little bit
so put it together with yǒu to have
yǒu diǎn means a little bit of something
a little bit so you could say
I'm a little bit bored
wǒ yǒu diǎn wú liǎo
and you can say I'm a little bit tired
wǒ yǒu diǎn lèi
yǒu diǎn
and our last word for today is
è hungry
è è è
the pronunciation for this might seem strange for many
so when you're talking about your feelings in Chinese
you don't need to put the word shì
to explain how you're feeling
for example you wouldn't say
wǒ shì wú liǎo
you would say instead
wǒ hěn wú liǎo
or wǒ wú liǎo
or wǒ yǒu diǎn wú liǎo
you would only ever really use the word shì
to describe either your profession or nationality
but to describe your feelings you don't need it
so don't say wǒ shì è
you would say wǒ hěn è
or wǒ yǒu diǎn è
ok let's start with today's conversation
wǒ jīntiān juéde hěn wú liǎo
wǒ xiǎng chūqǔ
nǐ kěyǐ qù zhènshēn fǎng duànliàn
wǒ zuǒtiān qùle
wǒ yǒu diǎn lèi
nà wǒmen kěyǐ yìqǐ qù chī zhōngguó cài
wǒ xiànzài bútài è
wǒmen kěyǐ wǎnshàng qù
hǎode jǐdiǎn
wǎnshàng qīdiǎn bàn suǒyòu
let's do that one more time
remember to pause the video and repeat as I'm speaking
wǒ jīntiān juéde hěn wú liǎo
wǒ xiǎng chūqǔ
nǐ kěyǐ qù zhènshēn fǎng duànliàn
wǒ zuǒtiān qùle
wǒ yǒu diǎn lèi
nà wǒmen kěyǐ yìqǐ qù chī zhōngguó cài
wǒ xiànzài bútài è
wǒmen kěyǐ wǎnshàng qù
hǎode jǐdiǎn
wǎnshàng qīdiǎn bàn suǒyòu
wǒ jīntiān juéde hěn wú liǎo
wǒ xiǎng chūqǔ
nǐ kěyǐ qù zhènshēn fǎng duànliàn
wǒ zuǒtiān qùle
wǒ yǒu diǎn lèi
nà wǒmen kěyǐ yìqǐ qù chī zhōngguó cài
wǒ xiànzài bútài è
wǒmen kěyǐ wǎnshàng qù
hǎode jǐdiǎn
wǎnshàng qīdiǎn bàn suǒyòu
Now you're going to play the part of A
Tell me
Today I feel really bored
I want to go out
nǐ kěyǐ qù zhènshēn fǎng duànliàn
nà wǒmen kěyǐ yìqǐ qù chī zhōngguó cài
wǒmen kěyǐ wǎnshàng qù
wǎnshàng qīdiǎn bàn suǒyòu
Now play the part of B
Wǒ jīntiān juéde hěn wúliáo
wǒ xiǎng chūqǔ
wǒ zuótiān qùle
wǒ yǒudiǎn lèi
wǒ xiànzài bútài è
hǎode jǐdiǎn
Excellent job!
So using our new words
Let's get ready to say the following things
How would you say
I feel a little bit tired
wǒ juéde yǒudiǎn lèi
How would you say
I am a bit hungry
wǒ yǒudiǎn è
How would you say
I am very happy
wǒ hěn gāoxìng
Can you remember
gāoxìng from
rènshì nǐ hěn gāoxìng
Happy to meet you
wǒ hěn gāoxìng
Using the word
gōngzuò for job or work
How would you say
My job or my work is very boring
wǒ de gōngzuò hěn wúliáo
How would you say
I am very hungry
wǒ hěn è
How would you make that into a question
Are you hungry?
nǐ è ma?
Lastly, how would you say
I am a little bit tired
I want to sleep
wǒ yǒudiǎn lèi
wǒ xiǎng shuìjiào
wǒ yǒudiǎn lèi
wǒ xiǎng shuìjiào
Incredible job!
Thanks so much for watching!
