Kalanchoe freedom bells would have to be one of my favorite succulents.
Every year, just about, I buy one freedom bell and every year I seem to kill it.
Well actually not me who kills it, it's the frost.
Because this plant is not advisable to be grown out in places where it experiences a lot of frost.
So it prefers to be on the warmer side.
So this is more of a tropical plant than a cold hardy plant.
After many years of having Kalanchoe freedom bells,
I have now decided that this one hopefully will last longer or live longer.
Because I now plan to keep this indoors where it's protected from our frost
that we have here during winter.
I just got back from a prospecting trip and this is the reason why I don't
have any video uploads for the last three weeks.
So I'm gonna leave it, leave it.
I mean it's a big nugget, too bad.
So for you my lovelies, I'd like to apologize for that.
But it has to be done. I gotta do it.
So anyway, so I'm back now.
So hopefully I'll get to do more videos in the coming days.
But also, these Aeoniums that I've got growing here are all dying of thirst
and needs cleaning up after the winter hiatus.
But this one looks promising.
So this poor thing here, this black swan, look.
Oh, I'm gonna have lots of baby black swans.
So when this got hit by the frost last winter, I chopped it off.
Well actually, before it got hit by the frost,
I already chopped it off just to make sure.
Because I think it was sort of in the same situation as this one before.
Now this magic curly here, Aeonium, is about to bloom.
See those little flowers there?
So the inflorescence is showing some flowers.
So this is going to die.
So the only thing I could do with this one is give it some water and then remove the head.
That way it will branch out like this and hopefully it will not die.
So this is my Aeonium Morning Glow.
Now the Aeonium Morning Glow, this plant is probably my most expensive Aeonium
that I paid good money for because it's got a lot of heads.
And luckily, because it's got a lot of heads,
I'm able to, I will be able to grow this more.
So when it flowers like this or it blooms, then the plant will die.
Not the whole plant, but that part, that stem.
Once a monocopic plant flowers, then it dies.
But that doesn't mean the whole plant is going to die.
It means just that part there.
So when this actually starts to form seeds or dries up,
I am going to get some seeds from this one
and hopefully grow many Morning Glow.
But also what I can do is propagate the heads,
these other heads that I've got here.
So maybe thin it out and then that will also continue to grow.
But of course, before I do that, I have to first give it a good drink.
So by tomorrow, I should be able to off with their heads.
A lot of these Echeveria right now are also blooming.
So a lot of inflorescence are popping out or flower stalk.
So these ones, they are not going to die because they are not monocopic.
Only Dioniums are monocopic.
So Echeveria, when it flowers and of course, once the flower blooms,
hang on, this one's got aphids.
That attracts a lot of aphids when they start flowering.
Then they will grow and that's the best time to get some seeds from it later on.
But you have to let it mature.
So this one here now is drying up.
So this is Blue Enchantress.
I would really like to get some Blue Enchantress,
but hopefully this one's got pollinated.
So that way I will be able to get some seeds from this Blue Enchantress
because it is such a beautiful, beautiful plant.
I have been going around this morning and catching this weed here
because if I don't catch that tip and I let go,
they will burst and the seeds will go everywhere.
So I like to catch and pull.
So those other weeds, I'll deal with that later on.
Look how beautiful the two Derenbergii are.
So this one's on the side that's actually not flowering.
So this one and that one that is Echeveria Derenbergii variegated.
And then that one in the center is a non-variegated form.
So we are going to spin this around just to see the difference.
See, look at that. Gorgeous, isn't it?
And then it sort of looks paler compared to the other normal
or non-variegated form of Derenbergii.
But nevertheless, they are just equally beautiful.
I was away for three weeks and they're all looking healthy.
And even the weeds are looking healthy.
As I mentioned earlier, I already pulled some weeds off,
but there's still plenty to be pulled off,
especially this Oxalis here, which is really nasty.
But my fingers sore from pulling weeds.
Look at that. Oh, my goodness.
But anyway, look how beautiful this...
Are you a butterfly? Are you an onion?
Oh, it's Marnier Apostoliver, right?
Also known as blue-white porcelain.
OK, it's a blue-white porcelain, but it's more like red and green and yellow.
But beautiful.
When I go on prospecting trips, I always make sure that when I come back,
I buy some succulents.
And it's getting harder and harder to buy succulents
because I've got almost everything.
Now, this one, I thought I haven't got it.
But then after I paid for it,
I thought that looks similar to Graptoveria rubra or Pachyveria rubra
that I think I have.
So I went to my garden and pulled off one of my Graptoveria rubra
and compare it and it's not.
So it's not a rubra.
So chances are this might be Multicalis or something,
which is a plant that I love very much.
And I don't know if my Multicalis is still alive.
I haven't seen it.
But so I thought for four dollars plus,
there's a few babies, look, on it.
I mean, in it.
Actually, that one was on just the table,
sort of dropped down from another plant.
But I thought I'll just put it there.
But that one, the baby there is already there.
So I thought I'm saving the little baby plant.
So now I have to repot this because this small pot
is not going to be able to sustain this plant.
And look, all new shoots coming out.
So that need to be placed or repotted into a bigger pot.
Oh, this poor Graptopetalum, Ellen.
And look, are you flowering?
Oh my goodness, that looks beautiful.
Look at the flowers.
Oh my goodness.
Now I have to pull off the weeds because it's not good.
It's crowding the plant and it's cramping their style.
It's in the way.
Hang on.
So I just have to weed this out.
Oops, I pulled one of the baby heads.
So it has survived the frost, which is good.
But it might not survive the weeds.
So I have to pull the weeds off.
There you go.
And that way it can breathe.
Okay, that's good enough.
I still got a couple of Oxalis there to remove.
But as I go around, this is Pat's Pink Variegated.
Oh my goodness, look at that.
Spring, they are springing.
So this has survived winter with nothing.
And now I'm happy to see that while I'm away,
it's busy producing babies.
Look, I'm gonna have one, two, three, four, five.
Don't count your chicks before they hatch.
Oh, hang on.
What do I have here?
What is that?
Are you a Pat's Pink Variegated?
Oh my goodness.
So I think this is the one I pulled off from the top.
And it's fallen off.
Now I need to...
Oh, that's beautiful, isn't it?
But that one doesn't look variegated anymore.
But that one is.
And then I can see some fungus gnats flying around.
Look at that.
Come here.
Come.
I just kill you.
I kill you softly.
Anyway, more weeds here.
Now, where am I gonna put you?
I need to find a pot for you and Pat's Pink.
Okay, this is a pot I prepared earlier.
So I have to put that there.
And then, of course, I have to put a label.
Now, there you go.
I've written Pat's Pink Variegated.
Now, this can go somewhere into my little corner here.
Where am I gonna put you?
Anyway, so you need to grow.
So I have to take another plant from here.
Oh, they're all growing.
Oh my goodness.
Mrs. Rich is variegated.
So even that, look at that.
So they can be neglected.
I think the last time I attended to my plants,
I actually just watered them.
And of course, they have survived.
And even that grown from a leaf, the Crispate Beauty.
That's my last Crispate Beauty.
So luckily, on my trip, I found another Crispate Beauty.
Just gonna swap this, put that there.
Pat's Pink, so I can see.
And then this one, I don't know what you are.
Oopsie, you can go here for now.
Ta-da!
So I've got a big Crispate Beauty here that I bought.
This one kind of looks variegated.
So in the center, look at the light colors.
So that's why I bought it.
Otherwise, I wouldn't have bought it.
Because I'm banking on the one that was grown from a leaf that I have.
So my Crispate Beauty died many, many months ago.
So hopefully, well, this one now, I actually bought this from...
I can't remember now.
Where did I get you?
Yes, my local hardware store.
Hang on, I'll put you back here.
So I have to put that in another pot.
And then without hitting that other plant that's there.
So anyway, all my babies here are looking beautiful.
I think they're doing much better when I'm not here.
Because when I'm here, they seem...
No, it's because of winter.
And now it's spring.
And so everything is looking healthier.
Even the silk variegated.
So I can't remember exactly how many silk variegated I have.
But this is just a silk variegated espy, no name.
But still, I did not pay that much for this plant.
And I like plants that I don't have to spend too much money on.
Now this one is part of my last plant haul, I think.
What is your name?
Elegance Variegated Monstrose Silk Variegated.
So that's $15.
And it's looking bigger and prettier.
Oh my goodness, this one is...
What is your name?
Sagitta Hybrid.
I can see some powdery mildew on that one.
So I have to isolate this.
And did I see something else?
No, so just this one so far.
So isolation.
But since it's a windy day, I don't want the powdery mildew to get scattered by the wind.
No good.
So I'm putting some, spraying some methyl just to stop that.
That will sort of suspend the growth, basically.
This jelly jam is mesmerizing.
Oh my goodness, look at the color.
I can't believe this.
And I got these from my local hardware store.
Very, very, very cheap as well.
And the other ones that I've got here of jelly jam.
Look how gorgeous they look.
But then again, I look at the colors in here.
They're all just so pretty.
Look, I'll step back.
It's just so beautiful.
And yes, hello Atlantis, you're growing.
So please excuse me.
Seems like I haven't seen them in a long time because I haven't.
And look at this one.
I just quickly went around and pulled the weeds.
But I did not pay attention to the beauty of my babies.
And hang on, we go check out.
What else do I have to do here?
I got lots to do.
So need some water again because this poor Romeo here or blood spotted Romeo.
That is, are you seeing blood spotted?
It is too.
Look at the spots on it.
Oh my goodness.
It's going to be beautiful.
Now like this one here.
So another blood spotted Romeo.
My Othonocarpensis is all drying up.
So this one needs to be taken out of here.
And we have to redo a new one.
Okay, I'll leave that one there.
But then this one here that's dead.
Okay, what is this?
So again, my little hanging things.
Oh, I think what I'm going to do is put something pretty.
What is this one?
This is called Graptopithalum Hermes.
$23.
Can you believe that?
That's what I paid for it.
Now it's dead.
It's a dead Hermes or Hermes Hermes.
Now I'm going to replace it.
I've got another Hermes, I think somewhere.
Wait a minute.
Wait a minute, Mr. Postman.
Hello.
I've got two Hermes.
Look at that.
Gorgeous, beautiful.
I think I paid $10 for this Hermes before.
Okay, are you going to fit?
I'm sure you will.
Oh, is that too big?
I think it's too small.
Okay, I can't use that pot.
But that needs to be clean.
I'll put you back here.
What can I put in here?
What about this one?
Terracotta pot.
Oh, that is so pretty.
Orion variegated.
Look at you, gorgeous.
I want to be able to see you all the time.
So I'm going to put you here.
Please fit.
Okay, is that going to fit?
Are you going to have a fit if you don't fit?
I'm going to have a fit if you don't fit, that is.
Yes.
Okay, don't tip over.
Hang on.
If this falls off, I'm going to cry.
No, I won't.
No need to cry.
Okay, hang on.
I just put the wire on the edge there.
There you go.
Look at that.
So now I'm looking at something pretty every time I walk past here.
Isn't that beautiful?
Okay.
Oh, look.
Hello, Bernalensi.
So many beautiful things are showing their faces.
Oh, look at this one.
Oh, how gorgeous are you?
My cotton beaded or bicolata.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Beautiful.
I think I propagated one and that's already rooted.
There you go.
I was actually late in propagating this.
I'm supposed to chop, chop, chop them during autumn so they can grow through winter
because that's a growing season.
But I took one during winter.
I think the last month of winter.
This is before I left.
But anyway, now it's growing.
It has rooted.
So I'm happy with that one.
So this Grenovia used to be a variegated one.
Now it died during winter and then it came back.
But see this one now, you can see that the soil has sunk.
So this needs to be lifted up and given some new soil again.
Just a top up.
And that southern residence.
Look how pretty that's looking there.
So that was just a propagation or a few leaves I dropped there or a few cuttings.
And now they're growing.
So that needs to be cut again and propagated.
This pink Vera is just so gorgeous.
So I did buy two plants or two sets of plants.
But then now I have many, many, many Vera.
And hang on, let me see the other one.
Oh, look how beautiful that is.
I think I'm confused.
That is not a Vera.
That is a variegated Lemon and Lime.
But look so gorgeous.
So pink.
Hello, Dark Rose.
You are so beautiful.
Look at you.
Gorgeous.
Now I need to remove this one here.
It's just dry.
Look at that.
Just taken off.
And of course, this one's too.
The lovely Rose.
That's looking so lovely.
Nice and pink.
But the weeds.
Oh, I have to.
I need my forceps.
So I'll pull this off.
Okay, shake, shake, shake.
And all gone.
And I think I left the root.
There you go.
Broke off again.
But anyway, that's all I've got for this video, guys.
I'm sorry that I am actually not concentrated right now
because all I can see are weeds.
Look, look at the weeds over there.
I need to pull that out from there.
Oh, I need two hands.
And that one too.
Look at all the weeds there.
I have to pull that out.
And look at all those sparkling weeds, the sparklers.
I call them because when they do spread their seeds,
they sort of just sprinkle sparkle everywhere.
Anyway, guys, look.
They're all happening, all flowering.
But I need to remove the flowers because I don't really want these ones.
Or do I want them?
Actually, do I need seeds from?
What is this one?
I don't really need the flower stock on this one.
There's some of them that I would like to get some seeds.
But otherwise, the rest, like this one here, the nightfall.
This is nightfall.
So this one is not.
This is Bloody Maria.
Oh, but it's so beautiful, isn't it?
Bloody Maria is so beautiful.
So we get rid of the inflorescence of the flower stock
because that will take out all the energy from the plant.
So I would rather it grows pups than flowers.
So this one, I don't know what you are, but I'll take you off.
And there you go.
Because we don't really want the flowers.
We prefer to have plants.
So any flower grows, plants don't grow.
So anyway, guys, that's all I've got for you.
Thank you so much for watching.
So know that I'm back and hopefully I can do my clean up.
And as I do my clean up here, I can do more video and show you
how to clean up or tackle the mess that are here.
But then again, look at this rogerio.
Hello, rogerio.
You are so beautiful.
These are not propagations, but look at that.
So pretty.
So pretty, pretty, gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.
I don't have much battery left,
so I thought I'm going to close off with watering my babies here
because they have been dried up.
So anyway, guys, thank you again for watching.
And I'm just going to drown them.
So I'm going to let the camera roll
because a lot of you have actually requested
do some watering videos or make it longer
because it's very therapeutic
for some people to watch water splash on the plants.
As I go around watering it,
I'm actually looking because I haven't seen them for a long time
and everything is just so beautiful and growing and happening.
Ah.
