Buying the Rarest Shark I've Ever Owned Off The Web.

Last week, we dropped $5,000 on what might be the rarest shark we've ever owned,
and today is the day it finally arrives.
This thing was listed on one of the sketchiest websites we've ever used,
and they didn't even include a picture of it.
Just the description, extremely rare hybrid shark.
Only one available in the entire United States.
No species name, no info whatsoever.
Just a $5,000 full-on gamble.
So what kind of shark did we actually just buy?
Will it even show up alive?
And will it even be able to go into our giant saltwater pond?
We're completely shooting in the dark here, but we just have to find out.
Now, it's not as simple as just going online and finding a shark like this to buy.
In fact, we've been in the hobby for over seven years,
and we've never even heard of some of the creatures that show up on these sites.
And the last time we were able to get our hands on a shark was over six months ago,
and even that one didn't work out.
It showed up massive, way bigger than what they listed, and we couldn't even keep it.
That was a major letdown.
And ever since we got that shark, we have constantly been on the lookout,
messaging suppliers, looking through websites.
But 99% of the time, they're sold out.
So when this listing popped up with no photo, no name,
just extremely rare hybrid shark as the description, we had to go for it.
And we've taken gambles like this before, and they don't always end well.
Sometimes the fish show up dead.
Sometimes they send the entirely wrong species of fish we ordered.
But if this works, and there's a chance it works, if it does,
this could be the most insane addition we've ever gotten for this giant saltwater pond.
I'm talking a $5,000 shark.
It's gotta be crazy.
And if we hit 100,000 likes on this video, we'll go after another mystery shark.
One that they say looks just like a prehistoric dragon.
We are en route to go and pick this shark up.
We're about five minutes out.
Things are really starting to settle in.
This is the rarest shark we've ever seen available.
But the thing is, is that so much can go wrong.
This shark is being shipped quite literally across the country in a small bag.
If this thing even uses the bathroom in it, it will spike the ammonia in that bag,
which eventually starts to burn the gills of this shark and basically ends up killing it.
So there's a lot that can go wrong.
We're really taking a gamble here.
But to come across sharks of this size and this rare, we had to take the chance.
We're about four minutes out and we're going to see what happens.
We are here.
We're pulling into the cargo.
It is a very hot day today.
Coming in at 90 degrees here in Florida.
So if they have this thing out, I hope it's not just sitting in the sun baking in there
because that box would heat up rather quickly.
It is very hot out today.
We got to be as fast as we can in getting this package.
Never been more excited to pick up a box in my life.
Come on.
We don't know what we're getting ourselves into.
But this is the part that I love about my job.
Make sure.
Responsible gambling.
Please make sure the package is in one piece.
I'll do my best, brother.
Okay.
Do my best.
Good luck.
There he goes.
Good luck.
Hi, I'm picking up a package for Jack or Chris.
So we get to the airport.
We're all excited to pick up this shark.
And of course, there's already a problem.
What's wrong?
Terrible news.
What?
There's no package here for us.
What do you mean there's no package here for us?
There's no package here in our name.
No, like, literally.
Like, I genuinely think we just got scammed out of five grand.
There's no package here for us.
Jack or Chris or the fish guys.
I have the confirmation number on my phone.
I'm going to call him.
I'm literally shaking.
Hey, it's Jack.
No, I'm here now to pick up the package.
But I just told him, like, Jack, Chris, or the fish guys.
And they said they don't have a package for us.
What name did he put it in?
Okay.
Call me back.
Thanks, bye.
Well, he's just as confused as we are.
What did he say?
He says he's going to check.
He's going to look and see.
So we'll see.
Okay.
What?
Well, I just went back in there to check and see if maybe they got it wrong.
Oh, he's calling me.
Hey, yeah, I'm at Southwest.
Okay.
What?
We got to go.
Okay.
What do you mean we got to go?
Okay, I'll head there.
What happened?
Bye.
We're at the wrong terminal.
Shut up.
We're at the wrong terminal.
Oh my God.
So our package is here.
Our package is here.
He says it's arrived.
I feel so relieved.
Of course, every time we pick up fish at the airport, there is always a problem.
Every time.
The shipping information that we got told us to pick up the shark at terminal C, but
after 20 minutes of waiting, they're telling us that the box isn't here.
Turns out they sent us to the wrong terminal.
The shark has actually been sitting in terminal A this entire time, which is on the other
side of the airport.
Come on, man.
Let's go.
I don't like what's going on.
Let's go.
We have an expensive shark that's been in this box for 20 minutes too long.
We are literally on the complete wrong side of the airport.
Go.
I don't really know where I'm going.
You're fine here, man.
Let's go.
This shark is probably cooking in the garage.
This is not what we needed at all.
Every single minute counts.
No joke.
Every minute counts when you're shipping fish like this, especially ones that are big.
If it's been sitting in the heat or didn't get the right handling, it could be totally
game over.
This could seriously kill the shark before we even open this box.
No, no.
I know.
I fully know.
There it is.
Terminal A.
Never been here before.
It should be fun.
All right.
I'm going.
Go get it.
Go get him, Chris.
Go.
Chris has the box.
Come on.
Not good.
Not good, brother.
What?
Help me open this door.
What?
Oh, my God.
The box is soaked, bro.
The box is soaked, dude.
Oh, my God.
It's fully soaked, dude.
I'll be surprised if he has any water in here.
Is it leaking bad, Rick?
Listen to it.
Do you hear anything?
Look at that.
Water already all over the car.
Put your ear on it.
Any movement?
Let's just go.
Come on, dude.
There's nothing moving in this box.
Every second counts.
All right.
At this point, we're just trying to get back.
There's really nothing we can do now.
Fingers crossed we didn't just lose out on our $5,000 shark.
I think I'm going the wrong direction.
You're losing us.
I'm going the wrong direction, aren't I?
He's losing his time already.
Where do I go?
If anything happens to the shark, you know whose fault it is.
This guy.
Guys, this cannot be going any worse right now.
This is a $5,000 fish.
$5,000 shark inside of this box.
That looks in not the best condition.
Got some holes.
It's definitely wet.
We're worried.
Look how soggy this box is.
We honestly should just be...
We probably should just be going.
We should be quick and rip this thing open.
This is the most expensive sea creature we have ever purchased
in the entire history of this YouTube channel.
And if he didn't make it, I'm going to be very upset.
I'm getting right into it, dude.
I'm getting right into it.
We got to save this thing.
Slicer.
Please be alive.
Slicer down the middle.
Please be alive.
How do we do this?
Wow.
Grab that side of the bag.
Oh, wait.
No, it opens up.
It opens up.
Okay.
Hold on.
Oh, my God.
Please, Lord.
Should we lift this whole box out of the bag?
I think we should.
Careful.
Oh, my God.
This is...
Pull, pull, pull.
It's so heavy.
It's so heavy, bro.
It's so heavy.
Go, go, go.
I got it.
Down slowly.
Down gently.
My God.
This is insane right now.
The biggest purchase ever on the channel.
I'm so freaking excited.
Let's go.
I don't know what is about to be unveiled right now.
Be alive.
Whatever it is.
Yeah.
We're literally just hoping for...
I like the packaging.
I like it aside from the leaking part.
Oh, my God.
I see zero moving.
I don't see anything.
I see zero moving in this bag.
This thing is a brick.
I see zero moving in this bag.
Look at this brick right here.
It's like when you fly in a plane and your chip bag almost explodes.
Hopefully, that's not what's going on in here.
I'm nervous, bro.
Get it out, please.
You want me to pull it out?
Please.
Our biggest investment in the channel yet right here.
I can't even swallow.
Be alive.
I want to see some movement.
I don't see any movement.
I literally see nothing.
Here we go.
Three, two, one.
What is that?
Oh, my God.
What is that?
Is that a zebra shark?
This is some sort of hybrid shark, bro.
And it's alive.
What is that?
Dude, that is the same shark I've ever seen in my life.
It looks like a marble cake.
Like a pound cake marbled.
Dude, I think this is a zebra horn shark.
I've literally never seen one of these ever in our entire career.
A zebra horn shark?
The seven years we've been doing this, I've never seen a zebra horn shark ever.
I didn't even know that's a real shark.
That's a real shark.
I'm pretty sure it's like a zebra shark mixed with a horn shark.
That's insane, bro.
I've never seen one of these available literally ever.
I need to get this out of the bag and get a closer look at it.
Get it in here.
I saw him moving around, but who knows how healthy this guy really is.
Let's get a closer look on this thing.
We have to get a closer look at him, make sure he's doing okay.
I can't even really see him right with this double bag, bro.
It's so distorted.
Oh, my God.
What?
You just went for it.
Yes, bro.
You just cut the bag.
I'm freaking pumped.
I've never seen one of these in my life.
Oh, my God.
It's a tiger.
Oh, my God.
He's crazy.
He's a freaking tiger.
That thing is crazy, bro.
Oh, my God.
Flip him.
Come on, baby.
Flip him.
This could be the only one in the whole United States of America, guys.
We've been going to fish stores.
We've been shopping online.
We've never seen one of these.
Oh, my God.
It's the coolest thing I've ever seen.
Dude, are you kidding me right now?
Coolest thing we've ever bought.
Look at the horns.
Dude, they're massive, bro.
Clear definition of a horn shark right here.
That is so insanely sharp.
Holy cow.
The prince.
It's leaking.
What?
Shut up.
Oh, my God.
You're kidding me.
Every time with a horn shark, it leaks.
He's not going to fit in a bucket, dude.
Get a bin.
Get a bin off the shelf.
Do we have anything in here?
Bin off the shelf.
Don't expose our trash mountain.
We're going to have to dump some of this out.
Dump it out.
I don't want to give him a concussion, bro.
Every time.
Nothing can go.
Nothing can ever go smoothly.
These styrofoams are unreliable.
Easy.
This is a $5,000 shark, dude.
These styrofoams are unreliable from here on out.
He's stuck in there.
Get him.
So, Alicia, come here.
Don't bite me.
God damn it.
Don't bite me.
Oh, my God.
Of course.
Of course, bro.
I think he's fine, right?
He's fine.
He's got plenty of water.
That's so annoying.
This is the most incredible shark ever.
Jesus Christ.
Are you kidding me right now?
He lost a lot of water there.
He did.
Go ahead.
Drop a comment down below an awesome name for this guy.
This is one of the most rare and unique sharks we have literally ever come across.
I'm obsessed with this thing.
I'm literally obsessed.
It's not even like a brown.
It's like a metallic gold right here on the head.
This thing is incredible.
There's not moving much.
We got to get some air stone on him.
Literally ASAP.
Here we go.
Give this guy time to recover.
That was a whirlwind for him.
Yeah, he's breathing a little heavy.
He's been living inside of this tiny little box for over 24 hours.
I mean, he's obviously going to be stressed out.
This is the most important part in any fish's life.
You have to acclimate them perfectly.
We are not going to risk it by putting him straight into the pond just yet.
Since sharks get super stressed from shipping or setting him up a holding tank for him to
go in first.
That'll give him time to recover and make sure he's super healthy before adding him
into the big pond.
So we got out an aquarium, added in some pipes for him to seek shelter in, and added an air
stone to provide lots of oxygen.
He has really not been moving much.
We've been acclimating here.
He's just sitting on the bottom, not swimming around.
He's breathing really heavily.
Usually when you put sharks in, especially when you're acclimating, they'll swim around
and be a little bit more active.
This guy hasn't moved a muscle.
He's just sitting there.
Our shark right here has been acclimating for about an hour, but we're about to move
him over to his holding tank where he's going to start his recovery.
Take a look at that shark right there.
You guys can see he's not moving very much.
I'm making a run for it.
Here we go.
Oh my goodness.
Look at that shark right there.
Holy cow, dude.
That is the most insane shark ever.
I'm so excited about this shark.
This is so cool, dude.
That thing is awesome.
This is crazy, guys.
Look at this.
The most expensive shark we've ever bought, and it shows.
The colors, the stripes, the patterns, absolutely immaculate.
I'm amazed.
Now, this shark might be alive, but the real test is if he's going to eat or not.
Later in this video, we're going to be offering him three different food options to see what
he likes best.
Hopefully he actually eats, because if he doesn't, that usually means he's way too
stressed and that he might not survive in there.
Now let's check in on the rest of the crew as our new shark recovers.
Recently, we decided four venomous lionfish called the Fantastic Four, and they go crazy
for silversides.
Check this out.
Hand feeding.
That's insane.
They love their silversides.
And as you can see, when they eat the food, they use their spines to protect it by pointing
it right at the fish that might take it.
Oh my God.
Rory, you dog.
Hand feeding right off the surface, baby.
They love those silversides.
I love my Fantastic Four.
We also just picked up a seahorse from our last vending machine video.
His name's Richard, and he is thriving in here.
Drop a comment if you guys think we should get our seahorse a new little friend.
And last but certainly not least, our stonefish, Rocky.
He's loving his tank and eats like an absolute beast.
Watch this.
I absolutely love Rocky.
Now, this new shark could end up being the crown jewel of this 3,000 gallon pond, but
only if he makes it.
So let's see how he's doing.
It's been a few hours of him acclimating, and it seems as though he's really turned
a corner.
He's swimming around and not breathing nearly as hard.
I think he is finally ready to go into the big pond.
The moment we have all been waiting for.
Let's get this insanely rare shark inside of the pond.
That thing's crazy, bro.
Holy cow.
Enjoy it in here, buddy.
Here you go.
Let's go.
This guy needs the best names down in the comments, so drop them below.
He's crazy.
Oh my God.
Dude, he's swimming off pretty strong.
This guy might be really, really healthy.
That fish is incredible.
It's unlike anything inside of this pond.
Those stripes are so pronounced, so beautiful.
And boy, does he look like he's got some peppiness.
That looks like a damn $5,000 shark.
That's what it looks like.
That's incredible.
This is a zebra horn shark, and it's one of the rarest sharks you'll ever see in the
aquarium hobby.
Native to deep, rocky reefs in the Pacific, these sharks are almost never available for
sale, which makes getting one nearly impossible.
And what sets them apart, aside from their horn-like ridges behind their eyes, is their
bold zebra-like stripes.
These patterns are most vibrant when they're young and slowly fade as they grow, helping
them blend in to the ocean floor.
They only reach about three feet long, making them one of the few sharks suited for large
home aquariums.
And one of the wildest things about them, they lay spiral-shaped egg cases that look
like alien drills, which they wedge deep into crevices to protect their young from predators.
It's like owning a living fossil with stripes.
He swam off pretty good, went right down to the bottom.
Seems like he's getting his bearings right now.
But like we said, the real test to see if he's going to make it or not is in a couple
days when we offer him food.
That is so important.
He has to eat.
He's been in the pond for a few days now.
He looks pretty good, but we haven't tried to feed him yet.
That's the real test.
If he doesn't eat, that means he's still stressed and he might not make it.
So we've got three different food options.
Shrimp, silversides, and squid.
Let's see which one he likes best, starting with the shrimp.
Come on, man.
Get some shrimp.
Eat some shrimp, please.
The most universal fish food in the world.
Please, please take a few.
He doesn't look interested at all in the shrimp, dude.
Every other fish looks interested.
Oh my God.
Stanley took it.
Okay.
Well, it's clear that he does not want shrimp.
He didn't even move.
Didn't even budge.
That's honestly such a bad sign.
The shrimp is like one of the best foods.
Like everything in this pond eats shrimp.
I mean, if you don't eat shrimp, what do you eat?
Literally, what do you eat?
Clearly, he didn't like shrimp whatsoever.
So next on the menu, we have silversides.
I think he's going to like these.
Come on, buddy.
You want a silverside?
Come on, dude.
Please, please, please take the silverside.
No interest, dude.
No interest, bro.
Not even like a sniff.
He hasn't even moved.
Not even a sniff.
It's a full-blown concern.
This is terrible news.
It's a full-blown concern.
We are 0 for 2 on feeding this shark right now.
That clearly means he's stressed.
If we strike out with this squid, it does not look good for him.
Come on, buddy.
Please take this squid.
You want some squid?
Let's go.
Oh my God, he likes squid.
He got it.
He ate it.
Let's go.
Dude, he sucked that down, bro.
Oh my God.
That is such good news.
Thank God.
He likes squid.
He's a squid eater.
Oh my God, dude.
Let's go.
He ate.
He's got it.
Take it off.
He got another one.
Take it off.
Get it.
Let's go.
Let's go, bro.
Thank God.
I hope I got that on the GoPro too.
Our brand new rare $5,000 shark looks amazing in here.
He is eating.
Thank God.
Don't forget to drop a name for him down in the comments.
He is a really, really special fish.
And if you guys thought this was crazy,
you have to check out where we bought live fish from an actual vending machine.
Go click right here to check it out.
