Inside the Secret Service's Motorcade Operation

This is where we stage all the vehicles for the UN. From this location we deploy several hundred vehicles. We make sure that they are maintained and fully operational and safe before they go out on their mission. From here the vehicles get assigned to the respective foreign dignitaries and they are deployed on motorcades. It's critical these vehicles operate correctly because the safety of our world leaders depends on the Secret Service. New York City is, it's a tough environment for a motorcade. So it can be challenging to keep a motorcade together and get through the traffic. That training foundation sets you up for success. A lot of planning and a lot of help from our local law enforcement partners I think is really how this gets done. Success for a mission like this is to get your protectee into the country so we get them from the plane everything they need to do and back to their plane and leave the United States safely. If we've done that then we have done our mission successfully.
