All right, so an updated EDC slash accessories video.
A lot of this is kind of focused on the new 17 Pro Max,
which has just launched.
Obviously my new daily driver.
So this is kind of what I carry with me every single day,
kind of to the studio, out and about.
I don't travel as much because we have a little one.
Stay tuned till the end for some extra like little dad tips.
Let's start off with, I guess like the new pack
that I carry literally all of this stuff in.
So this is more of a luxury item.
I am sponsored by Harry Rosen.
They're a menswear company based here in Canada.
They kind of hook me up with all things like menswear,
whether it's, you know, fragrances,
whether it's like some of my hoodies.
This one's from, for example, Kenzo.
But this is a Bottega Veneta camera bag.
Specifically got it to carry my camera around.
It's in their classic entrenchiato pattern.
Entrenchiato.
I'm not Italian enough.
Entrenchiato.
Clearly you can tell like I'm a designer fraud,
but what I do like about this
is the subtleness of the pattern.
It isn't like too loud.
It doesn't have, you know,
some of the monograms all throughout.
It's just clean.
It's leather, which I really like,
especially if you're a new dad, which you'll see later.
Just puke, barf, ---- gets everywhere.
You can just wipe it off.
It's nice and supple.
And once again, it fits all of the gear that I have here.
Entrenchiato.
Like I said, this and all of my menswear stuff,
for example, my fragrance, Tom Ford Outwood.
This is pretty like iconic.
Little spritz before I leave for the day.
You can pick these up all at Harry Rosen.
And for example, their Bottega Veneta stuff
available exclusively at their Bloor location.
So if you happen to live close by,
check out some of their stuff to upgrade your own gear.
So to the star of the show,
the main reason why I've created the EDC
is around the new 17 Pro Max.
Like I was beyond stoked.
If you guys, like if this is your first video
that you're watching, I am addicted to the color orange.
I love all things orange.
A little bit let down, to be honest,
by the actual two-tone.
So obviously in the center, this is all glass.
So this is Ceramic Shield 2,
whereas the rest of the phone now is made out of aluminum.
They've switched away from titanium,
mostly for thermal management.
But if they wanted to include MagSafe wireless charging,
you need some sort of glass.
So they had to have a two-tone finish.
It doesn't look like the best.
It looks okay.
I do rock out cases most of the time on it
just to keep it protected.
So this is just a simple one from ESR.
This is one of their hybrid cases.
It's cheap.
It's affordable.
It works super, super easy.
It gives protection to the phone.
You can see that it has this little camera guard here,
but the best part,
this little guard also serves as a little stand.
So when you're watching content,
whether it's a landscape, whether it's portrait,
you can use the phone to prop up to whatever you're doing.
It still gives a little bit protection
around the lip, around the outside.
And you can see right here,
this is where the MagSafe magnet is on the back.
So if you are using any extra accessories,
whether you have that kind of plugged into your car,
whether that's how you charge it,
it's really easy to use.
But the most important thing I would say,
because iPhone Pros or iPhone 17 Pros, Pro Maxes
have increased in price.
They're now $100 more.
Please, please, please stick a screen protector on it.
Apple claims that they have ceramic shield too,
which is three times better in scratch resistance,
but it is so easy to scratch your phone.
It was like my biggest mistake from the 16 Pro.
I literally scratched on the unboxing,
grabbed like a $10, $15 screen protector.
It comes in packs of three.
They're really easy to apply.
Save your phone.
There are so many horror stories now
with the aluminum scratching really easy.
Like there are so many pics like on Reddit.
Just keep your expensive new device protected.
Great phone, great colorway.
The biggest improvement for me is the telephoto lens
with the extra zoom.
Slightly better battery life
because this no longer has a SIM card,
but I am working on my fuller review.
So if you wanna see that, make sure you're subbed
and I should be posting that in the next little while.
So that is the main phone.
The next thing to tie in obviously some orange,
this is like my wallet.
This is something that I still have to carry around.
So for example, I've got my license in here.
I've got my credit cards that I use,
both business as well as personal.
Just having a wallet is nice.
Obviously I splurged on this one.
This is the Goyard Saint Pierre.
Once again, overpriced for what it is,
but I think some like luxury items
are nice to have more like mementos
when you tie it to something.
I actually got this as a bit of a gift to myself
for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 launch when I was in Paris.
Picked this up from like the Paris flagship store.
It's been great.
You can see that it has a little bit of wear and tear
and I've carried this around the world.
This actually has a little card slot up here
if you want to store some money.
And funnily enough, I have this like little card,
my only thing in the back.
I got this from this little Japanese pottery shop
that I picked up some new pottery stuff
for my new house build, which will never get done,
but that's kind of cool.
But yeah, that is kind of wallet
and obviously keys kind of go hand in hand.
So this is just obviously my car keys.
I got a new station wagon.
So this is my new RS6 keys.
On it, I have a little bit of orange.
So I picked this up from actually
the Haribo store in Berlin.
The guy has got some use.
He's been dropped a couple of times.
You can see how scratched up he is,
but that is like my little hint of orange on my keys.
I did not get my car in orange,
but this new station wagon has been fun.
Once again, if you want to check out my full delivery video,
it's separate.
It's up here for my new dad life.
It's a fricking beast.
V8, 631 horsepower overkill, but yeah, super, super blessed.
So that is kind of like the essentials that you need.
The rest of the gear,
I kind of mentioned that the bag that I have
is a camera bag.
So specifically I carry around this little guy.
This is the Sony A7CR.
I've had it for a couple of years.
I recently upgraded like at the end of last year
to this little travel lens.
So this is their 40 mil prime.
It's an F 2.5, but obviously being a prime, it is fixed,
but this gives it the perfect little body
for carrying around for street photography,
for just keeping nice and compact.
Like I said, it's kind of made
for these little cross body bags or small bags.
So it still fits into the bag
with more than enough room on the side
for all the rest of your tech.
So even when it's fully zipped up, as an example,
it doesn't give too much extra bulk and it's just easy.
You can just kind of slide that open.
You can access your camera.
And since that is like cross body, you still have two hands
and then you can take a ton of photos with it.
So it still has a 61 megapixel full frame sensor.
Obviously it takes really good stills.
You can kind of zoom in, punch in,
but the best part, it still shoots in S-log.
So if I'm doing anything like on Instagram,
it is like the perfect all-in-one camera.
Obviously, if you get like the FX3,
A7S3 more suited for video,
but if you want like one run and gun camera
that does both stills and video,
once again, I know it's pricey.
You can still get like the A7C, A7C2.
And as an example, you wouldn't travel around with this,
but if you wanna make this a bit more like usable
for like film use, this is like my 16 to 35 G Master.
This is way bigger.
Like, I think it's like the size of the actual,
I guess you could fit this in.
You couldn't fit any.
Oh, could you?
This is like the first time.
Look at me getting all giddy.
She don't fit.
She's too big.
That's what she said.
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
So audio wise, I've got two little options here.
So these are the new AirPods Pro 3.
I would argue this was maybe the best announcement
or best upgrade from the Apple event.
The noise canceling on this has gotten so much better.
And funnily enough, the tip sizes now,
there's five different options.
So before I was, I think like the medium,
I've actually switched to small.
And because the new tips,
they're made out of like foam.
These ones fit my ears a bit better,
but what's actually more noticeable
is the like active conversation.
So it doesn't sound like you're listening to someone
through a microphone.
It sounds a lot more natural.
That's their transparency mode.
I unfortunately haven't got the chance to test
like their live translation,
but I am excited once I do start to travel
to test those out.
If you were looking to upgrade your headphones,
these are probably the ones to get.
Like we've had AirPod Pro 2s for a while now,
like already three years.
So we've been waiting for an upgrade to the AirPod Pro line.
So if you've been holding out,
there's no better time to buy them.
Like I said, I think this is the best upgrade
from the Apple event, solid, solid edition.
So the next little audio thing, mostly creator wise.
So these are the DJI Mic 2s.
I don't actually carry around this full contraption.
So this has like the receiver as well as the two microphones.
I tend to just carry around one little mic because,
so when you turn this on, you can see right there,
you can actually hit the little record button
that is now actively recording.
So for example, we can switch to the audio
from the microphone right now.
This stores internally to the mic and you can use this,
obviously you'd have to sync it with some of that audio.
And then once you press it, that audio shuts off.
So it's just nicer to kind of carry around one item
instead of the full thing.
You can also charge that via USB-C.
I have been on the fence to upgrading to like the new,
I think they even have the Mic 3s.
They're really small, similar to the Mic Minis,
but I kind of like the size
because you can hold onto something.
When they get too small, you're kind of holding it on
with just like two fingers.
So I'm on the fence.
Let me know if I should upgrade,
if anyone has like the Mic 3 or the Mic Minis 2s,
let me know how they are.
That's my audio solution for my EDC.
So next, I think really cool for any EDC,
we've got two really cool items.
So this is from a company called Metmo.
They're actually made and crafted in the UK.
They're these stainless steel additions.
So this one is called their Piston.
This one's a bit of like an EDC,
like almost like a fidget spinner
or something that you can interact with.
This has this little pneumatic piston
that you can actually push up.
And once you create that seal,
it gives you this ever so satisfying thing
that you can play with.
This obviously spins around.
It is like beautifully crafted.
You obviously need something super precise.
Just this nice little thing.
It has a really nice weight to it
that you can kind of play around with.
Once you like unscrew that,
the piston goes back into place.
You can kind of like fiddle around with this end here.
It's just a really nice, like high-end fidget toy
that you can kind of just like keep in your pocket,
keep in your EDC.
When you wanna use it, you can.
And when you just wanna keep it stored,
you just have it like that.
So that's cool.
They also have like very usable pieces of tech
or usable handy tools.
So this is their Metmo Pocket Driver.
This has been really handy.
It's essentially a screwdriver.
It's got this really satisfying click to it,
but obviously super functional.
So you can obviously swap out the heads with my camera.
As an example, I always need to carry around an extra plate
in case I'm attaching it to a tripod.
The amount of times I have been missing a screwdriver
and this is always loose.
So since this has been in my EDC,
I can just tighten all my gear.
It has this really satisfying clicking mechanism.
So you can kind of angle it in any way.
And you can see here with the handle,
that kind of orients or kind of articulates
into an easy way to give it some extra torque
and to tighten up all of your tools.
You can obviously change these out.
So if you're doing things like an Ikea build,
if you just need a tool to tighten anything with a screw,
you can swap out those heads and to loosen it,
it's this pretty ingenious way.
You just kind of flip that over
and now you just need to turn it.
And then obviously that screw will get loose.
Almost like ASMR worthy.
Really, really cool brand and really cool EDC stuff.
So next on the list probably goes to like the EDC stuff
that like I actually wear.
So obviously that goes to watch and to little bracelet.
The bracelet is no surprise.
It is orange.
This is the Omega sailing bracelet.
It's obviously nice, easy, and obviously orange.
A lot of you ask questions about that.
And this is my Omega Speedmaster.
Like I'm a big mechanical watch person.
I know that the new Apple watch series 11 just came out.
You know, ultra three just came out.
I will still stick to my OG mechanical watch obviously.
Once again, this is pricey, but this means the most to me.
I got this as a present for my wedding day.
I kind of wear it with the silicone or rubber strap.
It just makes it super comfortable.
You know, what I really like
other than the sentimental value
is the clear see-through case back.
The Speedmaster is such a cool line
because they go all the way from like budget.
They have the swatch collabs.
So you can pick one up for like 100, 150 bucks.
They go into like their normal Speedmaster line.
They've got some special editions like the Snoopy,
and then they have like precious metals.
But anyone can enjoy the Speedmaster across the board.
I think it's one of the most iconic watches.
It is literally the first watch like worn in space.
It's the moon watch.
That's why it's so famous.
It is mechanical.
And once again, that's just something
that you can interact with on the daily.
So when you wind it,
it's got that really like satisfying sound.
And that's one of the like the analog things
that I really still like.
The fact that you get to interact with it daily,
the fact that it means like so much to me sentimentally,
like my wedding day, not to like boast or anything.
It was one of the happiest days of my life.
And whenever I look at it, it kind of reminds me of that.
That's what I really like about time pieces
or say like a luxury item.
You kind of tie it to a really important moment.
Not saying that it's like worth that value,
but that value comes with that experience,
which I think is super cool.
So that's the watch that I typically wear on the daily.
Like if you're into smartwatches, great.
But for example, the new AirPods,
these now track heart rate.
So I don't need to worry about wearing like,
say like an Apple watch to get my heart rate.
I get all that data onto my phone.
So it has a lot of those features
and I can keep my mechanical watch on my wrist.
Kind of almost last but not least,
just because I'm into the content space,
this is my SL500 by Lexar.
It stores all the footage,
the video that we're shooting right now,
this will be stored on that.
I kind of take this back with me from home to the studio.
I can look at footage like on my MacBook
or wherever I'm editing.
This one is well used, well loved.
You can see it's got a couple dents in it,
but it is four terabytes.
It's got some stickers on it, but not sponsored.
I just kind of swear by it.
Last but not least, this is for all the new dads out here.
This is like the EDC stuff
that you actually need in your life.
Always carry around an extra diaper.
Babies ---- and puke everywhere, like all the time.
You need that.
Keep the poop in the diaper.
And these little burp cloths, just from Amazon.
Like I said, liquid comes out of every crevice
out of my child.
So just keep this on you.
Keep it like, you know, over the shoulder
so the baby burps on it, it pukes on it, it goes on here.
You can wipe their mouth, you can wipe your sweat
as you struggle with life with a newborn and get no sleep.
But hope you guys enjoyed my updated EDC for, yeah,
the new iPhone for the end of 2025.
If there's any items that you think I missed
that I should carry around, let me know.
I'll look to upgrade myself.
And yeah, hope you guys enjoyed this vid.
And yeah, you can tell I've had no sleep.
Peace.
