Two subs, three subs, four subs, 87 subs, man.
What's good, YouTube manager?
Ha!
What's good, YouTube manager?
It's your boy, Young Thug.
Coming at y'all with another video here, man.
We got subs, man.
We got subs.
That's the main thing.
2-0-2-2.
If your mirrors ain't shaking,
damn it, you got taken, right?
So we got subs, man.
We're gonna try a little something,
try to figure things out.
I know the last,
well, I think the last video was actually me playing with,
I got a Resilient Sounds right here,
American Bass HD over there,
and something else right there.
So let's get to it.
Show y'all more subs,
because that's just what the heck we do around here.
Turn around, sub, one, two, three, go.
All right, so what we got in front of y'all here
is an American Bass HD sub.
No, I mean, well,
we do have an American Bass HD sub in front of y'all,
but that's not the purpose of this video.
The purpose of this video,
oh, damn.
Too many subs on the table, man.
Hopefully y'all can see that up there.
The ZV-X15 V2.
Let's get into it.
Scar, right?
Let's go ahead and see what this ZV-X is about.
Shout out to my man, SubwooferKing.
I know he's running two of the ZV-X18s,
and he raves about the sound quality of those subs,
so let's take a look at the 15
and see where we go from here, y'all.
I know it's crazy, but let's just try it out
and see what happens.
Just a moment.
All right, now y'all know what I usually do, man.
I usually go ahead and pop the top
to make it easier for the video.
Didn't do this in this instance,
so let's get old trusty-dusty out here
and get to cutting some stuff, man.
So, trying to find a good crease.
That's right there.
Now, a lot of y'all might be shocked
to see me trying out Scar right now,
but last, was that last year?
Maybe the year before, I don't know.
One of these doggone years,
I had the Scar DD-X10s.
I was trying to do a budget build
with the American-based XFLs,
so I tried to do my due diligence
as far as doing that budget build,
but due to supply chains,
American-based had ran out of the XFL subwoofers,
so that kind of put a hold on the whole doggone thing,
and I wasn't trying to wait around
for them to get the other subs in stock,
so I said, you know what, screw it.
The Scar DD-X is,
you know, I don't necessarily know
if it's a budget subwoofer,
but it's definitely within the budget of a lot of people,
so let's just go ahead and word it that way,
but y'all see that good old team lift on this Joker here?
So, gonna pull that back a little bit.
We got a box inside of a box.
Hope y'all can see that.
Let's go ahead and cut one more time.
And this is the reason why I make it a lot easier
for the video as far as trying to do this
before I hit the record button,
because a lot of people don't really care
about seeing boxes inside of boxes.
And what do we got now?
All right, so we got the Scar decal,
good old sticker there.
Your user manual as far as the ZV-X series,
812, 12V2, 15V2.
I don't know why they don't have the 18 on here,
but maybe that's a whole nother ball game.
But just a moment, let's keep going.
I think I'm to the final box here.
We got a cardboard layer.
Y'all can't see that.
Hopefully y'all can see my finger hitting on that.
Man.
All right, so we got a layer of cardboard.
Hopefully y'all can see that.
A nice little thin piece.
I don't know if you call that styrofoam,
but a protective coating.
So I'm gonna get all this stuff out the way
and unbox this up.
Give me just a moment.
When I come back on the table,
the sub will probably be sitting out.
All right, now you can call me crazy if you want to.
For some reason, I've had a real,
I don't know, real desire to run Scar ZV-Xs.
I don't know, it's just,
it's a sub that I've been intrigued with
for some reason.
And right now, I finally got me one.
So there she is, in all her glory,
looking like a sundown knockoff.
But me personally, I don't have a problem with Scar.
I ran their FSX 8s,
the 8-inch Pro Speakers, blown away.
There's demos of those speakers right here on the channel.
Absolutely, absolutely blown away
with the performance of those speakers.
Once again, SubwooferKing came through
and was like, hey, I got these Scar MPXs.
I was like, what the hell are those?
And they look a little, matter of fact, hold on.
I don't want to trip over my box.
Well, the box that the subwoofer came in.
But he was running these jokers here.
So these are the Scar Neo Speakers.
And look how thin that thing is, man.
So like I said, man, SubwooferKing had these on his channel.
And I was like, man, what the heck are those?
And he was like, hey, it's the Scar Pro Speakers,
but the Neo Magnus on there, Neo Motors,
but generally, you don't look at it.
So once again, how that influence goes.
So I ended up ordering some of those,
once again, blown away.
Absolutely scream, man.
So now we got this big Scar Audio ZV-X,
and hopefully y'all can see right there,
the mounting gasket is actually custom
with the Scar logos on there.
From what I can see so far,
it looks like the screw holes line up pretty good.
Now, wait a minute.
Now, a lot of people were talking about
this dust cap being flimsy.
I guess if you press hard enough,
y'all not gonna be able to see that.
Let me tilt her down.
Looks like it's got some grease or something on it, man,
but you can push that in.
I got my American Bass subwoofer right back here.
This is gonna be off the camera.
I don't know, I can push that one in too.
So I guess if you try hard enough,
maybe with any subwoofer,
and once again, I'm sorry, y'all,
I'm doing this off the camera as well,
because I got the Resilient Sounds right here.
Yeah, so I guess at the end of the day,
man, if you try hard enough,
with any one of these subwoofers,
you can make that dust cap go in.
But she's pretty stiff.
This is one hell of a foam surround on here.
The cone is actually stitched together.
Once again, like I said,
I got that custom mounting gasket right there,
and I've just seen it.
Oh, right here, USA Voice Coil.
So, like I said, man,
hell of a fight in press.
I don't know why, y'all, just bear with me.
I'm just impressed with this damn subwoofer, man.
For some reason, I really want to run Scar ZV-X subs, man.
So here's your push terminals.
Those are pretty damn stiff.
Only thing that I trip about,
this time I made sure I have my light.
Let me grab her.
Hopefully y'all can see that down in here.
The Tesla leads are like, once again,
just like the American Bass Sub.
They're circular.
Personally, man, I would prefer a flat-wound voice coil,
but you can't have very,
I mean, I guess you can't have everything,
but if you got some custom made,
but for some reason,
some companies do flat-wound.
To me, that's the best route.
Some companies do like Scar did, American Bass did.
When I had my Massive Audio Sumos,
they had those circular Tesla leads as well.
But let's see.
She is a black anodized voice coil.
Guess I shouldn't put my light away that fast.
I don't know if y'all will be able to see that.
It's black anodized, but man, it's shiny.
Right down in there, but yeah, I don't know.
Probably not gonna be able to see that,
but the basket here, it's got nice little spacers on here,
so that should help with the cooling.
And as always stated with other people
that have unboxed this sub, other channels and whatnot,
the motor, supposedly 306 ounces,
but it pokes out a little bit.
It does have some cooling down in there
with additional vents for additional cooling.
So, hey, at the end of the day,
like I said, I don't know where the obsession
with the Scar Audio products is coming from,
but for some reason, I wanna run these Jokers inverted.
Take this rubber gasket, the mounting,
well, not mounting gasket, but the boot gasket,
flip this around for the Scar to,
the logo to come out of the way,
and I don't know, two 340s Jokers
hanging out the subwoofer box,
but let's get to the owner's manual, CVX series subwoofer.
This is crazy, man, so they got the eight,
hopefully, yeah, y'all can see that,
the eight, the 12, and the 15.
They do make a CVX 18, but I don't know,
maybe it's in a league of his own.
But let's see here, I believe, crap.
No, down here, I don't know if y'all can see that,
but this is the Duo One Ohm.
So, let's see, we got a three-inch coil.
Oh, okay, now, according to the manual here,
the magnet is 315 ounces.
Let's see, D1, so 315 ounces.
Let's see, where he at, the FS on it.
Okay, not too bad, FS is 36 hertz.
We are 37 on the American base,
so we gotta figure something out, man.
Which subs do we wanna run?
Not gonna lie to y'all, right now,
I'm leaning toward Scar's CVX.
Previous video to this,
I did just have my Resilient Sounds 18s on there
to go up against the American base HD.
Fell in love with that subwoofer, man.
Me buying that sub was definitely a mistake,
cause I did fall in love with it once I seen it.
Seen that blue basket, seen that white motor,
like you see this Scar, how everything's more
of a taller stance.
With that American base, it's more of a wide stance.
Why the hell am I sitting here telling y'all this
when I can show you?
I can show you better than I can tell you, right?
Just a minute.
All right, yeah, so why the hell am I sitting here
rambling on about motors when I got them
right here in front of us,
where we can just take a look at it, man.
So, the American base HD 15,
I know it's upside down, but 300 ounce motor.
The Scar supposedly has a 315 ounce motor.
Personally, right here, being able to see it,
I think you can see it because most people,
and I'm gonna say it as well,
the Scar motor is more of a height-wise motor
compared to where traditional subs,
American base, stuff like this here, are more wide.
So, this thing is wide, but don't get me wrong,
the Scar motor is wide as well,
it's just not as wide as that American base.
But once again, like I said,
when you look at it height-wise,
it does definitely hold its own.
So, y'all let me know.
Getting a lot of mixed reviews out there.
Like I said, did just do a video showing the American,
or yeah, the American base HD 15, this joker right here,
standing next to the freaking Resilient Sounds 18,
and we got that all over again, man.
The Scar stands up on its own
compared to the American base right there.
As far as the height, we got the mounting gasket
once again right on the surrounding American base.
And don't get me wrong, man,
American base, hella stout, hella stiff.
Granted, y'all can't see,
y'all can just see my finger going in there,
but I will give American base,
the dust cap is quite a bit more sturdy
than the one on the Scar Audio.
Now, granted, like I've been saying,
if I keep going with the Scar theme,
honestly believe I will probably invert the subwoofer
rather than mount it traditionally.
Ah, but since we did the comparison
of the Resilient Sounds with the American base HD,
I don't feel like doing all this heavy lifting,
but to be fair, let me move some stuff around here.
Grab this, whoops, grab this girl, get her out the way.
All right, and now, lift this little heavy choker bit.
Come on, all right.
Probably not good audio on that,
I think the subwoofer did grab my microphone.
Yeah, so man, y'all can see that right there real time,
the Scar and the Resilient Sounds stand about even.
All right, let me move this up.
They stand about even as far as the mounting gasket.
Obviously, that surround is on a whole nother level.
Just edges out the Scar surround, but I don't know.
18 versus a 15, I don't know
if that's a fair comparison or not,
but once again, man, those mounting gaskets
are toe and toe with each other,
so we'll see what happens, man.
Scar ZV-X15V2 should be a dual one-ohm subwoofer right here,
so once again, I guess we'll put out the poll.
Scar ZV-X15, back there, American Bass HD-15,
Resilient Sounds Platinum 18, which one would you run?
And maybe stick around,
because there might be something else
coming around the channel, man.
So, we'll go ahead and end it here.
Any questions, comments, concerns?
Get at me, man, I'll try to get back to everybody.
No, I haven't been responding.
Lately, I will get on that
as soon as I get done with this video.
Also, OUTTY15, Audi 15, that is my discount code
over at mbx.com, get on that, man.
15% off, orders that are $25 and up.
So once again, OUTTY15.
Obviously, will be down in the description box.
Obviously, a link to mbx.com.
Go get you some stuff.
I still got a spool of 50-speed MVX.
I got MVX wires all throughout the place, man.
So, I'm gonna get this new project up and running soon, man.
It's your boy, Young Dub, I'm out.
