Van and RV Trip Across Canada
28 followers
The scenic route has just started from the middle of the mountain
and the clouds have come all the way down.
The view was so beautiful that we had to stop.
There is a place along the highway where you can stop.
What's up guys and welcome back to a new vlog.
Today is another day here in Vancouver
and today we have to leave Vancouver for our next location.
But before leaving, there are a lot of things that you have to do in RV.
So first of all, let me show you all the things that you have to prepare for RV.
Before leaving the campground, we have just taken a bath and freshened up.
We have to have breakfast.
Then we will prepare for RV.
And today we will leave for our second city.
We have to go to Kamloops from Vancouver.
It's 4 hours away from here.
Are you ready for the next destination?
Yes, I'm more than ready.
And the most important thing you have to do is
these tanks.
We have different tanks.
Black, water, grey and fresh water.
Now our fresh water tank is almost full.
Because we were using campground water here.
Black is almost empty.
But still I am thinking that let's empty as much as we have.
Because our grey tank is full.
In grey tank, we store shower water.
And the water that we use in the sink is stored here.
So this has to be dumped before leaving.
First, let me show you the preparation that you have to do inside.
After that, I will show you the things that you have to do outside.
First of all, you have to open all these privacy curtains.
You have to store it in your location.
Apart from that, this is the privacy curtain.
You have to open all these curtains.
I don't know why, but it's a rule.
We have to fold the bed as well.
Because the slide-out will come inside again.
I am thinking of bringing this bedroom slide-out inside.
Because we will bring this inside after breakfast.
And now to bring the slide-out inside, the car should be on ignition.
The back one is already inside.
Now we have to do this one.
This is the switch.
After the slide-out comes inside, it becomes such a small space.
First, we have to find a semi-dump station.
Because there is a special dumping station where you can dump your waste.
It's not like you can dump it anywhere.
And it doesn't happen in every RV park.
So there are such dumping stations.
And you have to make a water hookah.
Finally, after working so hard, it's open.
It was closed very tightly.
We have to be careful next time.
That it shouldn't be closed so tightly.
And now with this hose, I will fill this fresh water tank.
It was almost full.
But whatever is left, let's fill it.
Now close this.
So when water starts coming like this, it means the tank is full.
And now we have to empty this waste tank.
Then we will finally leave.
This is the waste tube.
There are two levers here.
One for grey and one for black.
First, we have to empty the black water tank.
After emptying the black and grey water tank,
you have to do one thing.
You have to fill the whole pot of fresh water.
So this is the not so enjoyable part of RV.
Now let's see the reading here.
Fresh, full is coming.
Black is empty.
Grey is also empty.
And now we have to turn off all the heating before leaving.
Water pump too.
And now we can't turn on the lights too much.
Because now all the lights are working with the battery.
And now we have to do the final slide out inside.
And just one more final step.
This propane cylinder.
You always have to keep it closed whenever you drive.
Just check all the surroundings.
That nothing should be attached from there.
As you can see, all the slide outs are completely inside.
Shall we go?
Hello.
First, we have to go to the gas station.
Yes.
And now we have to fill the petrol first.
Petrol is completely empty.
It shows a range of 30 km.
Do you know that there are two kinds of people?
People who have to get gas when the car is about to stop.
And people who have to get gas when there is half of a tank.
And they often marry each other.
The price of normal petrol is 2.1 CAD per litre.
It's more than 125 rupees.
It's quite expensive in Canada.
And as I told you, it's the same in the US.
First, you have to authorize your card.
Then you can tell how much you want to fill.
So I authorized for 150 CAD.
Petrol.
So in 150 CAD, there is not even half a tank.
I thought it would be at least half.
From now on, such a scenic route has started.
Right in the middle of the mountains.
And the clouds have come all the way down.
Yesterday, we met an uncle at the campground.
He was also going from Banff.
So he told me that if you want to go to Banff,
then there is a route from here called Whistler.
Which is very scenic.
Right in the middle of the mountains.
So now I have put Whistler on the map.
Because if I was going directly to Kamloops,
where we have to go to the main,
then all that road was showing the highway.
Even though it would have saved us an hour.
But it was not scenic at all.
So the route I took will leave from Whistler.
In 4.5 hours, we will reach our campground, Kamloops.
There is a shopping complex on the way.
We are parking the car here.
Veronica wants to eat.
There is Dollarama here.
Even there is Anytime Fitness in front.
If you have the membership of Anytime India,
you can also use it here.
I really like this thing of US and Canada.
That wherever you go,
you keep coming to such big complex roads.
In Europe, only the fuel station
or McDonald's, KFC comes with difficulty.
Now I don't know
whether it is allowed to park the RV here or not.
Because it was written a lot
Small Vehicle Only.
So let's get out of here quickly.
So there are so many good attractions on this road.
So there was a provincial park in the middle.
There are a lot of provincial parks in Canada.
So once I parked the RV here to see.
I think there are a lot of hiking trails from here.
And there is a waterfall nearby.
But obviously for the waterfall,
it will take at least an hour's hike.
So we won't do the hike right now
because we also have to reach our location.
So I thought to stop and take some drone shots.
The view around was very good.
It's amazing that honestly I feel like
stopping every 5 minutes to fly a drone.
But unfortunately it's not possible
because there are not too many
spots to park an RV.
If we had a car, then maybe
we could just park on the side of the road
with an RV.
It's just too big to park anywhere.
The view was so beautiful here
that we had to stop.
There is such a place along the highway
where you can stop.
And look at the view in front.
It's such a beautiful lake.
Let's stop here for a while.
I will fly the drone here
and show you the view from the drone.
Then we will eat something.
I am hungry.
I am thinking of stopping here for lunch
because there is still 1.5-2 hours to go.
We are thinking of eating the tacos
that were left from yesterday.
And now we have to turn on the propane
cylinder to run the gas.
The taco preparations are going well.
And then we will sit here and eat.
With this view.
We have to stop again to refuel.
We had refueled for $150.
And it's almost over now.
The average is only 4-5 in the RV.
Let's see how much petrol
we have refueled after refueling for $250.
We have refueled for $24,000 since morning.
And in $250,
we have refueled only half.
I don't even know how much it will be full.
I think it will be full for $400.
And the range is only 580 km.
We have almost reached.
I think there is a campground in front.
The internet is not working here.
So we have to go by guessing.
By looking at the name.
There was a board of The Rock and River Camping.
Now I am checking if it is here
or we have to go ahead.
So finally we have reached the campground.
But this is in the middle of nowhere.
A very small campground.
Now I am going to the office
to pay and come back.
First I have to ask if the spot is available
because I didn't make an online reservation for this.
It will be a difficult 5-7 spot.
This campground is so small.
It is written here that the office is on this side.
But there is nothing in front.
So finally we have found the spot.
It was only $50 for the night.
And now we have to do all these things again.
We have already installed electricity.
We have to connect the water.
And this place is in the middle of nowhere.
It was looking weird once.
There is a bonfire going on there.
The owner of this campground
lives there.
She has invited us to come
to the campfire at night.
So let's set all this RV.
Let's take the slide out again.
And I thought we will reach here in 4-4.5 hours.
But if I see the whole thing
it took more than 7 hours.
We left at 11 in the morning and
reached here at 8.
So now we will rest for a while.
I hope you liked today's vlog.
It was a very beautiful journey.
We have to stay here for just one night.
I stayed as a stop because
we have to go to a very beautiful national park tomorrow.
But I will show you that in the next vlog.
Thank you so much for watching.
And I will see you guys in the next vlog.
