In Depth look at the JP8 Amplifier

[Music] what's good youtube man it's your boy young dove here coming at y'all with another video uh pretty much doing a weekend wrap up here man uh what y'all see in front of you is the jp8 amplifier uh shout out to my man uh derek over at uh williston audio labs uh he did just drop the video of the amp dyno so i can definitely confirm uh she performs as good as she looks man um this thing is rated at 800 watts rms at one ohm at 14 4 certified she did 1276 i believe um uncertified she did over 1300 watts so this is a rated 800 watt amplifier um this is like i mentioned another night man this is the reason why i bought this amp i just wanted to see this thing in person for myself this uh plexiglas is just amazing um i try to get as best shots as i can as far as getting light into it uh y'all see down over here uh do not stir fry v1 so i don't know if they're coming out with a v2 later uh but yeah so i got mine in uh just want to do a more in-depth look at it like i said i did unbox it the other night but uh didn't really look at any of the power connection looks like a four gauge ground uh 12 volt wire obviously you got uh your remote that you need in there and also your speaker inputs uh now mine is uh mind you it does have four over there but it is a monoblock amp and then we'll look at the other side so i didn't really go in depth on this either as far as her having a tiffany style rca's you got your power protect and clip lights there you got your gain sub sonic filter bass boost obviously we don't touch that she has one hell of a bass remote knob uh that's inside the box here uh then we got the low pass filter and then your uh output selection if you want to strap these amps uh she has that right there uh readily available for you so down for soundstop.com but like i said man the bass knob is one hell of a piece as far as having those uh connections in there um for uh let's see you got your voltage uh you got your clip in there you got your temperature but um like i'll keep reiterating man the main reason why i bought this joker is right here um this is something that i would hope that all amps in the future would come with as far as uh having that plexiglass bottom uh that way you don't have to keep taking stuff off and say hey man let me see the m guys uh there they are so and then like i said man i'll keep referencing the big d wizards video he just dropped it he actually did take the plexiglass off showing how thick it was um i guess he had to disconnect the fan as well to get it off man but um i don't know i mean if you want a more in-depth look at me it's kind of right there for you guys to see man so uh like i said just doing a weekend wrap up uh obviously um doing everything i can to get going on 2021 here uh got that american base right there behind the amp off uh over in the corner there uh is my son down sfb uh she's not on camera right now but uh just dropped that video yesterday man so um yeah like i said i want to do a more in-depth look at the uh amp matter of fact let me do this too because i know i was saying that as well put it down real nice and easy like i said since this is a new amp uh maybe some of y'all want to take a look at the box that it came in let's flip that over i'll try to set that back far enough for y'all to see that uh so like i said as far as the box rating 850 at 14 4 uh that's a joke uh like and then i said that as well in the video when i unboxed it i said jp says it's highly underrated he was not playing um 800 watts at one on 144 like i said dino certified she did 1276. and then you see the 700 watts at 12-4 uh big d wiz said he's going to come up with those videos later down the road as well and then you see your two on ratings and whatnot i think she did over 900 to him i want to say don't quote me on that look at the video on that like i said i'll matter of fact what i'll do i'll probably go ahead and uh post a link to big d was this video so y'all can go ahead and see these numbers for yourself uh one thing i do like about that no such thing as peak because that is the truth there is no such thing as peak so you see the frequency and like i said i got the camera light in there man i got lights all over the place right now but uh frequency response 10 hertz to 270 hertz uh who's going at high on uh base amp but whatever uh efficiency at four ohm ninety percent i believe big d whiz had it at eighty one percent uh so uh take it for what you will on that one there uh bass boost at 45 hertz i know he was saying he would he wish that they would make that adjustable even though we don't mess with the bass boost anyway uh flipping indicator uh like i said remote control with the voltage temperature and thermal and also it does have a little clipping light on there man so um just doing my part to show y'all stuff um for those of you out there that say hey you know i might want to take a look at getting this amp and then let me open this part now see this joker here play responsibility i will probably play uh put it as play responsibly but play responsibility uh but we are not liable for any chaos damage or tickers you may or may not get uh i guess that depends on the user right there man so um all i can say hey look she performs as good as she look uh i would definitely recommend getting it uh right now i believe it's 199 but that is the introductory price so as everything in life uh prices are subject to change and go up and whatnot man so uh take it for what you will man a hell of an amp i know like a lot of people say hey my amp's gonna be on my truck anyway why do i care about what color it is it really just comes down to this right here showing it off and saying hey man this thing is she's super nice so um definitely check that out man but at the end of the day i just wanted to get to him so i could see what it looked like man um i don't even have any plans to use this thing man so uh we'll see what happens man like i said i did just uh unbox my sundown sfb 8k um 8 000 dm so we are getting going on 2021 uh we're going to start getting some stickers in we're going to start getting some more of those subwoofers in uh shout out to my man father of bass um he was like hey man i i get down with you i don't really mess with american bass uh i get that you know some people have um certain experiences uh with companies or with those products just like with me and orion man i'm like i'll never run around again due to the fact that when i had that amp uh she went up in flames on me and i never heard back from them as far as warranty and stuff like that man so i totally get it uh no harm no foul there uh do what you need to do as far as uh you know making sure your bill's good to go my whole thing for my 2-1 20-21 bills 2-0-2-1 budget like i said i haven't run um a budget setup in quite a while obviously when i was a teenager uh younger years uh everything was budget hell i was getting amps from walmart so uh but it was budget due to the fact that i didn't have any coins at that time uh now that i'm older uh pretty decent job stuff like that man so i can go out and get some stuff uh but my whole deal was to run a budget setup uh that'll get down uh ms and highs gonna be kind of a bit of a different story uh but as far as the base um in the amp i don't know if y'all consider my amp a budget amp or not uh i know if i was trying to get 8 000 watts on a korean board it wouldn't be for the price that i got this sundown for sale on and plus they got a down for sound had to sell on it when i bought it anyway so uh stay tuned we'll get going on that and just to drop one more item here this guy base head chris um probably not going to show up on my camera because this phone that i'm using a piece of crap anyway but they said chris uh he hit me up the other day and was like yo man i got two resilient sound uh team 15's for sale um i told him i was spread the word uh he told me thanks he said there's just collecting dust and uh he got a custom enclosure built for him at 32 hertz uh double baffled birch man so uh just spreading it out there keeping my word and saying hey i'm gonna spread the word out there for you uh so there you go uh drop that in the video for you and like i said i know everybody's uh bank account is about to get stimulated i totally
