Hello? I... I don't understand... I don't know...
Excuse me, can you repeat that?
Is that familiar to you?
Do you have trouble speaking German fluently?
If so, then you're right here.
Hello and welcome to a new video.
In this video, we're going to practice speaking together.
My name is Natalia and I'm your German teacher.
Please support me now with a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel.
More than 60% of you watch my videos without subscriptions.
That's not good.
So please subscribe and like.
And of course, leave me a detailed comment.
Your interaction with this video is very, very important for the algorithm and of course for me.
I read all the comments.
I always answer all the comments.
I look forward to your feedback.
Today we're talking about free time and how you can make appointments with friends.
I'm going to practice a dialogue with you on the medium level.
Why medium level?
There's a very special reason for that.
Next week, the registration for my brand new B1 intensive course will start.
This course covers the most important topics on the medium level.
You'll learn new vocabulary, grammar and, above all, this is all new to the B1 course.
In the course, there are a lot of voice exercises like this one.
And every Wednesday at 7 p.m. there is a live lesson where you get to know other participants
and practice your speech with me and the others.
If you finally want to reach the B1 level, make sure to sign up for the waiting list.
You can find the link to the waiting list in the pinned comment and in the info box.
And be careful, the participants on the waiting list will get the best offer.
I'll send you an email with the best offer one day before the registration starts.
There aren't that many places for the live lesson, so you can't miss the registration.
And one last organizational point.
For this dialogue today, I have prepared a large PDF file for you.
In this file you will find the whole dialogue, but also new vocabulary and a small grammar topic.
And an exercise for that.
So you can practice a lot of German.
Download the PDF file for free.
You can find the link, as always, in the info box and in the pinned comment.
Okay, let's get started.
Today we are practicing a dialogue between Anna and Sarah.
Anna would like to make an appointment with Sarah,
but it's not that easy to find a suitable appointment.
I will take over Anna's part and you speak for Sarah,
so that you know exactly how to pronounce your part.
My colleagues and I will tell you the dialogue at the beginning.
This way you can work on your pronunciation and intonation.
I have another tip for you.
If you want to take a step further, then pick yourself up.
You certainly have a recording function on your cell phone.
So pick yourself up and then compare your pronunciation and the pronunciation of my colleagues.
This way you will get better and better.
There are two rounds in total.
In the first round I will speak to you the text from Anna and my colleagues the text from Sarah.
You speak to my colleagues.
So, very important, as soon as you hear the audio,
listen to it until the end and then speak to my colleagues.
In the second round, we will only speak in pairs.
You won't hear your part anymore.
You have to speak directly to me.
Are you ready?
Here comes the dialogue.
Hey Sarah, would you like to go for a drink with Tarek and me tonight?
Hey Anna, that sounds really tempting,
but I'm already booked for tonight.
Oh, that's a shame.
And what do you think about Friday night?
Unfortunately, that doesn't look good either.
I'm invited to a birthday party.
Wow, you're really excited.
We haven't seen each other in three weeks.
Are you stressed out in your free time?
Yes, you could say that.
I have so many appointments in my free time
that it sometimes gets really exhausting.
Oh, I know what you mean.
Sometimes you have so much going on
that your free time is more stressful than relaxing.
Maybe you should really take a little break.
You could be right about that.
But next week on Tuesday after work, I still have time.
That sounds great.
We could do something quiet.
Maybe watch a movie or cook together.
That sounds really good.
So what about 6 p.m. at my place?
Sounds good. I'm really looking forward to it.
Then I'll see you next week.
I'll invite Tarek too.
Well, did you pay attention?
If you want, you can practice the first round again later
and then repeat my text
and just listen to the text of my colleagues.
That's another option.
That way you can practice both people.
Okay, great.
Now it's your turn again.
You speak Sarah's part out loud.
It will be shown to you again,
but in this round,
my colleagues will no longer speak the sentences for you.
I really recommend that you download the PDF file
after the video
so that you can analyze the dialogue again
and above all so that you can learn new vocabulary and expressions.
As you can see, the dialogue is not that easy.
There are a lot of little words.
There are a lot of particles.
That's also a very interesting topic.
I've listed all these vocabulary in the PDF file.
So remember to download them.
Okay, let's start with round two.
Hey Sarah, would you like to go for a drink with me and Tarek this evening?
Oh, too bad.
And what do you think about Friday evening?
Wow, you're really tense.
We haven't seen each other for three weeks.
Are you stressed out in your free time?
Oh, I can imagine that.
Sometimes you have so much going on
that your free time is more stressful than relaxing.
Maybe you should really take a little break.
That sounds great.
We could do something quiet.
Maybe watch a movie.
Or cook together.
So how about 6 p.m. with me?
Then I'll see you next week.
I'll invite Tarek too.
Great!
You did well in the second round too.
I hope so.
Be sure to write in the comments.
You must have noticed
that we used a variety of vocabulary
and advanced grammar here.
You could make the dialogue even more complicated
on the B2 or C1 level.
Then it wouldn't sound so authentic anymore.
We speak more on the B1 level in everyday life.
That's why it's so important
to master the basics of the German language perfectly.
Only then can you form more complicated sentences.
Only then can you go on to the B2 and C1 level.
So if you're not quite sure yet
and can't speak that well
and you're just afraid
to express yourself,
to show your personality in German,
then my new B1 course
is the perfect solution for you.
Be sure to sign up for the waiting list.
I hope you enjoyed this video.
Give me a thumbs up,
subscribe to my channel
and see you next week.
Bye!
