Welcome back to my channel.
It's been a hot minute, okay?
I apologize.
It has been a minute since I've been on,
but I'm back and I just wanna thank you for subscribing.
And today I'm gonna be doing my glam.
I kind of, this has like a seventies vibe.
You know, it's a little retro feeling.
I have my turban on
because I'm giving my hair a rest from heat
and I have it with some oil
and a deep conditioning mask.
And this is the vibe and some earrings.
And so this is the look I'm gonna be creating today.
So if you wanna see this, keep watching.
And I'm also gonna be answering some of the questions
that you asked on Instagram.
I had, you know, asked in a story,
hey, let me know what kind of questions I can answer for you
on my next YouTube video.
And I'm gonna answer some of the more personal questions
I was asked and we're gonna get into that.
So again, thanks for being here.
Let's get into it.
Well, first of all, I just wanna say my apologies
to all of you that were so early on to support me
with this channel.
I fell off the wagon.
I kind of went into this spiral of content creation
with Instagram and just a lot was going on.
And I really fell off the wagon
with creating content for YouTube, which is my goal.
It's what my heart is telling me to do.
So if you're still around,
thank you for subscribing to my channel.
And I'm gonna make a commitment to posting once a week,
maybe more than that,
if I can light a little fire under myself, but thank you.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here.
Let's get into it.
I'm gonna start with skin prep.
And as I said in the intro,
I'm gonna be answering some of the questions
that I get asked the most on Instagram.
And I'm also now on TikTok.
So if you're on TikTok, I'm slowly building over there.
It's a whole nother beast, let me tell you.
I am gonna use SkinCeuticals AGE Interrupter Ultra Serum.
I am almost out of this.
And this one was part of gratis
that I was given to do a collaboration with them,
but I absolutely love this serum.
And now I'm gonna have to spend the big bucks
and repurchase this because it's really very good.
This serum is gonna be a great option
if you're like me and you're choosing to age
without any enhancements, right?
But we wanna do the most that we can for our skin
and give the skin as much nutrient support as we can.
This particular serum, sorry, I'm trying to grab it here.
This particular serum is gonna be so great
for stopping glycation.
And glycation happens
when we have too much sugar in our diet.
Hello, who can relate to that?
And I'm not about to give up sugar.
If you gave up sugar, you're a better human than I am.
So this helps to firm the skin.
And when glycation happens, your collagen hardens.
So this prevents that.
And this is also a very good option if you do do treatment.
So if you're doing ultrasound,
if you're working with an esthetician
on a series of peels or anything along that genre,
this is a great serum to add in.
And it fits into any regimen.
You can use it with all of your other favorite serums
if you're using a vitamin C, if you're using retinol.
This is just like an added bonus, like a cherry on top.
So this has wonderful ingredients.
And I did a whole video about these actives
and the clinical studies behind it.
So you can check out that video as well.
I'm gonna top it with the AGE Interrupter Advanced Cream.
This is a lovely, thick cream.
And I'm really liking this under makeup as well.
So these are fairly new products to me,
but I'm a fan.
And as an esthetician,
SkinCeuticals is really a gold standard.
So great products.
If you're interested in learning more,
I do have that video.
All right, let's get into some of these questions.
I'm gonna start with using Made.
This is a brand new lip line.
It's Latina-owned, just launched in Sephora.
This is actually one of the overnight lip masks,
but I love to use this just to prep my lips.
I like to start doing that.
So by the time I do my full face, get back to my lips,
this is doing its job.
Very hydrating.
This is a great product.
And they have a beautiful red lipstick
that I have been wearing and I absolutely love.
Let me show that to you really quick.
If you're in the market for a good red, Made.
This is their classic red.
Let me show you this red.
Look at that.
It is absolutely beautiful.
This is a liquid lipstick.
Lasts all day.
I love the applicator.
So you'll be seeing me wear this in a future video,
but today I'm doing more of my signature look,
which is a dark smoky eye with a softer pale lip.
That's my vibe.
That's what I like.
Okay.
The question that I get asked the most as of late
is what nationality am I?
And I actually did my DNA.
Let me know if you've done your DNA.
I am Mexican, but that means so much more
than I ever thought that it meant.
My mom is definitely into genealogy.
So she's really done her research and traced back
our family tree, gosh, so far back,
like past the 1400, like way back.
Way, way more information that I'll ever be able
to download, but I am Mexican.
And you know, really what that means is Mexicans,
we are a combination of many things.
I am predominantly indigenous to the Americas.
So Mexican, Mexico.
So of the Indian original to this land,
you know, we are indigenous.
We are native American.
And I have some Spanish and then African roots,
as well as a sprinkling of other things, Jewish.
I have Portuguese, a little bit of Italian,
European basically, but predominantly Spanish
and of African roots.
So, you know, as an American, I just embrace it all.
You know, I'm proud of all of the cultures
that are in my DNA, but I do identify as Mexican American,
which basically means I'm American, was born here.
My parents were born here, but we are of Mexican descent.
And then with that being said,
Mexican descent means so many different things.
There's so many mix of cultures in Mexico.
My grandparents came from Mexico in the early thirties.
My grandfather worked on the railroad.
He helped to build the railroads here in the US
in the Midwest.
He started off in Kansas and then my family settled
in Chicago and that's where I was born.
Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois.
Let me know in the comments if you are from Chicago.
That is my hometown.
That's where I feel most at home.
I currently live in Las Vegas,
but I jokingly say I don't claim it.
Not yet.
I mean, I'm not really a full on West Coast girl.
I'm getting there.
I'm definitely feeling more Midwest.
I'm a Midwest gal and I probably always will be,
but Vegas is growing on me.
I will say I was really unhappy when I first moved here,
but now I'm starting to like it a little bit more.
It's taken some time to get used to it.
So I am just filling in my brows with a brow brush
and I just use any brown eyeshadow.
This one is Embark from MAC,
but you could really, I mean, use any brown eyeshadow.
That's how I like to do it.
I just fill in my natural shape.
I don't try to create anything new.
I have pretty thick brows, so I really don't need to.
And then from here, I'm just gonna use my brow glue,
which is the NYX brow glue.
It is my favorite product for the brows.
This is all I really use.
I've tried a few others and I always come back to this one.
For the price, the result, it's no need to switch.
Now, the next question that I get is,
where are my parents from?
And I think I've answered that already.
My parents are from Chicago,
but they are both Mexican heritage,
Mexican descent as well.
They were both born in Chicago.
You know, they were teens of the early 60s.
So they were very Americanized growing up in Chicago.
Although both were first generation in their families,
you know, they probably had a tougher time
because their parents were definitely more traditional.
And, you know, they grew up as like American kids
in the streets of Chicago and city.
So my parents always listened to R&B.
My dad loved The Temptations.
My mom loved Aretha Franklin and James Brown.
That was their music, you know, Motown, that whole scene.
So growing up, I just always felt very American.
We really didn't listen to Spanish music.
We really, you know, we were Mexican.
We had our traditions, you know, from our extended family,
but I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago.
So, you know, I always just felt very American.
Although I always knew I was different
because growing up, I was the only Hispanic,
Latino kid at school.
So I always knew I was different,
but I always felt very American.
But my parents are very, very modern, very modern.
I'm gonna use my Makeup by Mario.
This is the Master Eye Prep and Set in Medium.
And I love this under my shadows.
Just gonna use this, gonna tap this.
And I only use a little bit of this.
You don't want to overdo it on your lid,
but it just provides a beautiful base for eyeshadows.
And then you tap on the powder after,
which I'll do here in a second.
So that kind of leads to the next question is,
do I speak Spanish?
Technically, no.
I am now in Spanish classes.
I am so thrilled that I finally have taken the steps
to learn Spanish.
So I have a private tutor that I go to every week,
and I have been slowly mastering my Spanish.
And I'm really hoping that by early next year,
I could even record a video in Spanish.
My parents didn't speak Spanish in the home
because my dad didn't speak Spanish.
My mom grew up speaking Spanish in her home,
but my dad didn't.
His parents really wanted the kids to assimilate
into American life,
so they didn't speak Spanish in the home.
So I didn't grow up speaking Spanish,
but I always wanted to,
and I always regretted not taking it more seriously
in high school when I took Spanish classes.
So now I've made a commitment to learning Spanish.
So there you go.
Questions asking how old I am.
And I am 57.
I'm an Aquarius, by the way.
So my birthday will be at the end of January.
I'm putting a little bit of tape here
just to help me with my guide for my shadow.
I'll be 58 in January.
Go figure.
58, and I am currently 57.
So now I have my guide.
I am gonna use one of my favorite palettes by MAC.
This is Encrypted Kryptonite Palette.
I love these beautiful smoky colors,
these neutral smokies.
I really like this.
Maybe it's because of my gray hair,
but these really speak to me,
and they just look really pretty
with my hair color and my skin tone.
But really, anybody can wear this palette.
It's just a good one to have.
And I'm gonna start with this taupe shade right here,
and just gonna start working that all over my lid.
And the other question I get asked quite a bit
on social media is if I'm married.
And the answer is no, I am divorced.
I am not married.
And to be quite frank,
I have no plans on ever getting married again.
I mean, I guess I never should say never,
but it's definitely not something I'm focusing on.
I am happily single,
and I don't really foresee that changing anytime soon.
I was married for roughly five years,
but we had been friends for 10 years.
So he was in my life for quite a while, 15 years,
and we should have stayed friends.
I always said I enjoyed being his friend
more than his partner or his wife,
if that tells you anything.
We should have just stayed good friends,
but we didn't.
We screwed it up.
But I don't have any regrets at all.
But yes, we got divorced in, gosh, how long ago was that?
2018, maybe the end of 2018.
So yeah, I've been divorced for a minute.
And as I said, really no plans
on making anything happen in that direction, okay?
The other question I get,
I'm gonna use this dark brown now.
The other question I get, well, before I do that,
let me just sweep some of this really pretty pink shade
on my brow bone.
How did I get started in beauty?
How much time do you have?
I have been working in the beauty industry
since my mid-20s.
I started off as a makeup artist
and then became an esthetician.
And so over 30 years, almost 35 years,
probably longer working in beauty.
I always loved it.
I think when you kind of have that in your talent,
in your wheelhouse,
it just something is that you naturally gravitate towards.
I was always into makeup, hair styling.
I was always doing my friends' makeup,
doing their hair in high school.
And ever since I was little,
I just remember just, I couldn't wait to wear makeup.
I couldn't wait to use beauty products.
I just was that kind of girl.
I'm definitely a girly girl and I love makeup.
And it was just kind of a natural progression.
I went to college for a few years
and absolutely hated every single moment.
And I finally just made a commitment
much to my mom's horror.
I left college and went right into the beauty industry
and it's been the best decision.
No regrets there at all.
And I never looked back.
So here we are today, 57,
creating beauty content on YouTube, huh?
Not doing too bad.
This is what I never expected to be doing
at this stage in my life,
but here we are and I love every second of it.
I just am so lucky.
I feel so blessed to be doing what I love,
my passion, sharing it with everybody.
It truly is an honor.
I'm gonna take this dark brown now
and I'm gonna just start creating
a little bit of a wing here
and going right up into my crease.
So, so far I'm using all matte shades from this palette.
There are a few, a couple of shimmers in this palette,
which I'll be using in a minute,
but right now I'm just focusing
on creating some depth to my eye.
I wore this eye look this past weekend
when I went to see Motley Crue.
Oh my gosh.
My 19 year old self was in heaven.
Can you believe that song Girls, Girls, Girls
came out in 1987?
It just seems like yesterday and it was a great show.
So if you're in Vegas,
they do have a residency at the Dolby Theater
at MGM, Park MGM.
Really a great show.
So worth seeing.
So worth it.
Just taking some of this
and I'm just softening everything
and really blending,
really making sure that's nice and smooth.
Now I'm gonna go in with this dark blue.
It reads a little black on screen,
but it's actually like a dark navy blue
with some shimmer in it.
And I'm gonna just keep that right into this corner,
just really making that nice and smoky.
So the other question that I was being asked quite a bit
was do I have any hobbies?
Which it's so funny that sometimes that question
can really make us feel like we're not special enough
or we're not doing enough, right?
If we don't, I mean, you meet those people, right?
That they volunteer,
they're doing stuff with programs,
they're jogging, they go hiking on the weekends,
they belong to all these social clubs.
It's like, no, I'm not doing any of that.
I am not doing any of that.
My hobby is you're looking at it.
I love beauty.
I love talking about the beauty industry.
I love researching trends.
I love creating content and this is my hobby.
So it's my work, it's my hobby, it's my passion.
I guess if I had to say, do I have any hobbies?
If I had any extra time, I would love to paint.
I used to love to paint when I was younger
and really about six years ago,
I took some art classes to kind of reignite that.
And I love that, but that takes more time and space.
It's messy, you need a studio
and I just, I don't have the time right now.
Since I've been doing content full-time,
this has been the busiest I've been.
Learning to manage my time,
constantly thinking of next steps, shooting videos.
So this has become my hobby.
It's my hobby and it's my job.
So I don't have any exciting hobbies to share with you.
But if you have any hobbies,
I'd love to hear about it.
I'd love to know what you do in your spare time.
I love true crime, I love to cook,
and I love to sleep, you know?
I like to take naps and I do like to go for walks
but I'm not an avid hiker or anything like that.
But you know, I do get outside here and there.
All right, I'm gonna use Makeup Forever.
This is their Pencils Artist Color Pencil in black.
And I'm just going to do a little wing here
on the outer part of my eye.
I call it a baby wing.
And I pulled off that tape
and you could see what a nice crisp edge that gave me.
So now I'm just gonna follow that line
and create my baby wing.
Just like that.
Now I'm really looking like a fortune teller, aren't I?
My goal with the turbans is more Liz Taylor
than fortune teller.
And I like wearing my turbans for protective styling.
So I'll put oil in my hair and wear my turban for a few days
just to give my hair a break
and you don't have to worry about styling your hair.
So to me, turbans are awesome for days
that you just don't feel like styling your hair.
Next, I'm gonna use the Y's Beauty Skin Glow SPF 30 Primer.
It's excellent under your makeup.
It gives a beautiful glow.
Of course it has the SPF 30 and this is what it looks like.
Just gonna take a little and work this into my skin.
I absolutely love this and I highly recommend it
if you like to look a little glowy under your makeup.
You can even just wear this on its own
and I've done that many times on my makeup-free days
just to give the skin, look how beautiful,
it just gives it a beautiful glow.
Plus you get the extra benefit of SPF coverage.
So it's a win-win.
Now before I go in to do my foundation,
I am gonna color correct a little of my pigmentation.
So I'm gonna show you how I do that.
Take a peach eyeshadow called My Tweety.
This is from MAC and a small brush
and I'm just gonna tap into where I have pigment.
I really like doing this over using a creamy peach corrector
I just find this stays put and it doesn't move
when I apply my foundation.
Now I still sometimes have to go back
and touch up just a bit and you'll see here
but a peach shadow is a great alternative
to those creamy peach correctors.
You really can't go wrong however you decide to do,
to correct but try this little hack
and see how this works for you.
Just gonna go in here.
It almost looks like just a very pretty blush
and yeah, so this is what I do first.
So another question I get
and I think I've already answered that
is what I do in my free time.
I think we kind of established that this is pretty much
what I'm doing all the time when I'm not sleeping,
watching True Crime or cooking.
So that answers it.
So next I'm gonna use a new product
that I've just discovered which is the Tear Tear.
This is the AI Filter Foundation, it is so good.
I used it for the first time this past Saturday
and was blown away, so affordable.
I'm using the color Oat if that helps you at all
when you know, if you're gonna select a color
from this range.
I'm gonna take my favorite sponge of all time.
This is from Stands Out Beauty.
You don't need to wet this, it's a soft squishy sponge.
I use this for everything, for contour,
to touch up, for powder.
It is just the best sponge on the planet.
I'm gonna take a little bit of this onto my sponge,
kind of push off that excess on the lid
and we're gonna just go in here.
This foundation covers so well.
I just start with light layers and we're gonna build up.
It's so good, it's such a great formula.
If you've tried the Tear Tear Red Cushion Foundation,
this one is a little bit more matte.
It's not a full-on matte.
I would say it's a semi-matte and I like that.
I prefer that over super dewy formulas on my skin,
especially for covering pigmentation.
Okay, so I just did a very light layer
and just I'm pushing that into the skin.
You can apply this with a brush.
They do have a little sponge in the compact,
but I prefer this sponge.
Now next, I will go in with my concealer.
So I didn't apply this under my eyes,
just on my cheeks and the rest of my face,
but I leave this kind of clean
because I'm gonna do my concealer products there.
This is NARS Golden Eye.
This is an eye brightener.
Just gonna tap a little bit onto my brush.
Make sure I tap off the excess on my hand.
We don't wanna go in too heavy with this either.
This, we just want to give a light layer
and I'm just going to push that in.
Does an excellent job of brightening under the eye
and I'll go back in and blend that a little bit more,
but that's just the initial application.
All right, we're getting towards the end here.
Let me answer a few more of these questions.
Do I have a favorite fragrance?
Yes, I do.
It's called Halfeti.
It's from Penhaligon.
It is my signature scent.
It's pretty much all I wear.
You know, since being on the Sephora squad,
I've had the privilege of sampling lots of new fragrances
that I probably wouldn't have selected or purchased myself
because I have a signature scent,
but I've really discovered some other great scents
from Sephora.
I love the scents from Replica.
I think they just make some beautiful fragrances.
I really like that a lot,
but Halfeti by Penhaligon is my all-time fave.
It's, I don't know, it's leathery.
It's woodsy, musky.
It definitely smells more like a man's cologne
than probably a traditional feminine scent,
but that's what I like.
And I don't even smell it anymore.
That's how long I've been wearing it.
Like, I can't even smell it,
but, you know, I get compliments on it all the time.
People ask, but I can't smell it
when I'm wearing it anymore.
That's how you know you really have been wearing something
for a long time.
Okay, so just working all of that in.
I'm just gonna let that sit for a minute
because I kind of like it to settle into whatever wrinkles
it's gonna settle into before I set.
So I'm gonna move on to another part of my face,
and we're gonna come back to the complexion and under eyes.
The complexion, I'm going to use a little bit
of this Patrick Ta.
This is the sculpting.
It's called She's Sculpted.
There's a beautiful cream and a powder,
beautiful bronzing kind of effect.
I'm gonna take a brush with a little of this cream.
And again, I'm just going to tap on my hand
as to not pick up too much.
And I'm gonna put this right in through
the hollow of my cheek.
Just tap that in.
Another question I got, which I don't think
I've ever really been asked this very often lately
is do I have a middle name?
I do.
It's Marie.
It's a classic middle name, right?
Let me know if you're also a Marie, Claudia Marie.
I didn't used to like my name when I was little
because I told you I grew up in the suburbs.
It was predominantly an all-white suburb.
I was the only brown kid on the block.
And then, of course, I had a very different name, Claudia.
There wasn't any other Claudias.
I asked my mom when I was little,
came home from school, I must've been kindergarten age.
I was like, mom, can we change my name to Dorothy?
She was like, absolutely not.
I just wanted to fit in.
And of course, I love The Wizard of Oz,
which, by the way, I did see that here in Vegas.
They have a beautiful tribute at the sphere
to The Wizard of Oz, and it's amazing.
If you get a chance to come and see it, do it.
It's interactive.
You kind of feel like you're in the movie.
They've added some amazing AI.
It's incredible.
So I'm gonna put a little bit of this too right here
and kind of bring down just to sculpt out
this part of my jaw, just kind of bringing it right there.
So right now, I have all wet products on.
I haven't set anything yet.
So next, I'm gonna set my product.
I'm gonna take this as well, and with an angled brush,
it's kind of a flat-tipped angled brush,
dip into that same cream, and I'm gonna carve out
right where my brow starts.
I'm gonna come down and just create a little shadow there.
Star, if you can hear my phone,
it's, I should've put it on silent.
It's like all these messages.
Okay, so you wanna know what I do in my free time.
I answer DMs.
That can take a hot minute, okay?
Because I like to try to get back to everybody.
I appreciate anyone sending me a DM,
you know, whether it's just to start a conversation,
a question, a comment about something that I've said.
I enjoy that.
That's the part of social media I really enjoy
is getting to know people,
because that's what social media should be for, right,
is just connecting with people
that you wouldn't have met otherwise,
and I absolutely love that.
So please, do not ever be shy
if you wanna start a conversation.
If you have some questions,
if I can help with skincare recommendations,
makeup recommendations, let me know.
I live off of that.
I love it.
But yeah, that's kind of what I do in my free time
is I'm answering DMs.
I'm gonna take this makeup by Mario.
This is my favorite setting powder.
This is called Fair Pink.
It's the Surreal Skin Soft Blur Setting Powder.
These brands, I mean, they must be at a loss for names
because the names of products are getting so long.
They're tongue twisters.
I'm gonna take a fluffy brush,
and I'm gonna set under my eye.
I don't necessarily do the baking
that the young chicks do, the young girls,
but I'm not shy with powder.
I think one of the misconceptions with mature skin
is telling women over a certain age
they shouldn't wear powder.
You most certainly can.
This powder, for example, is talc-free,
so it's very blurring.
It doesn't settle into quote-unquote fine lines.
Is it perfect?
No.
At the end of the night when I smile,
are you gonna see some of my wrinkles?
Yeah, who cares?
Who cares?
You can't walk around with a fake filter on your face,
and if you have movement in your face, it's gonna show.
I don't let it bother me, I guess, is my point,
but you have to set with powder
if you want your makeup to be long-lasting,
if you do want a blurred kind of filter effect.
It's powder, baby.
You gotta use powder.
Don't be scared of it.
I'm gonna take a little and just set right under
where I did that contour.
Now, over the cream contour,
I'm gonna go in with the powder from this.
There's a matching powder,
and that's what I'm gonna use over this, okay?
Just gonna take a little.
I'm just gonna put just a little over it.
A little up here.
I'm really coming together if I don't say so myself.
All right, another question I got was,
what kind of music do I like?
I am so eclectic.
I like everything.
I grew up listening to Motown, right?
So I love Motown, The Temptations, R&B.
I grew up listening to classic rock,
so now I'm kind of, I guess, in that yacht rock category.
I love all of that.
I saw Motley Crue this past weekend,
so homage to my early teen years or late teen years.
I love Guns N' Roses.
I saw them a few years ago as well.
I love dance music.
I love house music.
I love heartthrob music.
I love freestyle.
I love it all.
The only music I really don't get into
is the new modern country music, No Can Do.
If you love it, I'm happy for you.
I can't.
I also, I like old school country,
like Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, old school stuff like that.
It's not my go-to, but I do enjoy it.
But yeah, I think I'm definitely a yacht rock,
classic rock, old school hip hop, you know, that's my jam.
You know, Gen X all the way.
I like a little bit of everything.
So Tears for Fears, The Smiths, so many, too many.
It's so eclectic that you would never be able to,
like if you saw my Amazon music playlist,
you would not be able to figure me out.
Like who is this person?
Next, I am going to use this beautiful new blush
that I was sent by Morphe.
These are absolutely gorgeous.
This one is called, they're called Cheek Thrills.
This is Beach Bonfire.
I wore it with the smoky eye on Saturday
and it lasted all night.
It looked luminous.
It looks like a second skin.
It is beautiful.
You start with the luminous powder first.
Then you apply the cream and then the powder on top
and it's beautiful.
So let me start with that.
Take this middle shade and this is, it's also a cream.
I'm sorry, that also is a cream.
So there's two creams and a powder.
So we're gonna start with this.
I always take off the excess,
but you can see what beautiful luminosity that gives.
It's a peachy gold, so pretty.
So I'm gonna put that more on the high point of my cheek.
That's where I like to glow anyway.
If you have large pores, keep this away from your pores.
I don't.
I have pretty much normal to dry skin,
so I can put that a little bit more
on my actual apple of my cheek.
Now we're going to take the cream part
and we're going to apply that on top.
I'm gonna use the same brush.
This is a BK Beauty 109 brush.
So I'm gonna take a little bit of this cream.
Again, I like to tap off.
You could see the cream is just a beautiful corally peach.
Tap that in.
So pretty.
I love this shade.
And then I'm gonna take that powder, this,
and we're gonna put that on top, a little on the nose.
I like to put a little up here.
Just really warms up the face beautifully.
So seamless.
Gorgeous, darling, gorgeous.
It Cosmetics mascara.
I love this mascara.
I did add a half lash off camera.
We didn't wanna take time on this video doing that.
I need to be up close and personal in a mirror.
So I just did a half lash.
These are number 421 from Ardell.
And now I'm just applying mascara.
Comb, this is number 360.
I'm gonna put just a tiniest amount.
I'm gonna zoom you in a little bit
because I want you to see.
I have wrinkles.
They're there, guys.
And I'm okay with it.
And I'm encouraging you to be okay with that.
And don't let that steer you away from wearing a full glam.
Just wear what you love.
You know, we're kind of made to feel bad
about our aging faces.
But you're gonna have to put me into my coffin
with a full face of glam, okay?
I don't care if I'm dried up like a prune.
I am wearing maybe even this look.
Maybe I'll request this look.
So one of you take notes
because you're gonna be doing it for me.
But yeah, this is like real skin.
This is how it looks.
When we zoom back and when we have big studio lights,
things can look a little softer and prettier,
but this is the real world.
And I don't shy away from wearing makeup.
I don't care about wrinkles.
I'm not obsessed with like having everything
being taut and snatched.
We can't all be snatched.
There comes a time where you're not snatched
and it's okay, you're still beautiful.
So this channel is about age honoring.
It's about loving ourselves,
celebrating it, and doing and wearing what we love.
So I hope this gives you a sense
of wanting to stick around
because I want you here
and I wanna continue to make some great makeup content,
beauty content, skincare content.
And I think this is a good space for me to,
even with answering these questions,
letting my community into my life a little bit more.
I'm open to that.
So I really think this is gonna be the perfect spot
for me to do that.
Next, I'm just gonna finish up with a lip look.
I'm going to do Perfect Beige by Sephora.
This is an excellent lip liner.
It's a good neutral because when I do a strong eye,
I like to keep the lips very soft.
Like I don't wanna do a red lip
with this dramatic eye makeup.
Blend that out and I'm gonna use MAC Cream Cup.
It's one of my favorite pink colors from MAC.
I don't know.
See, now the turban makes sense, right?
It comes together.
Or maybe you're thinking that turban never made sense.
I love it and that's all that matters.
So, you know, it's just this gold lame, very 70s.
You know, I always like to channel old Hollywood,
Liz Taylor, that whole kind of 60s retro vibe.
I love, love it.
That is a very pretty pink.
So it's Perfect Beige by Sephora.
It's an eight hour lip liner and then Cream Cup from MAC.
If you're a nude lip lover, pinky nudes,
this combo you will love.
All right, sometimes I have to just go off camera
just to look up close because I'm 57.
My eyesight isn't that great and it's hard to see.
I don't have a big monitor or anything like that
where, you know, I can kind of see really clearly.
So sometimes I miss things and I'll go back and be like,
oh, I didn't know that was not even, but you get the idea.
I'm gonna take this fine tooth, fine pointed brush,
gonna dip it into this gel liner.
This is from, what brand is this?
I can't remember.
I'll have to put it in the description box.
I don't remember the brand name.
It's like slipping my mind,
but it's just a nice black gel liner.
And I'm gonna give myself a beauty mark.
Let me set this whole thing with one size.
Powder Melt, the best.
Well, this is the vibe.
If there was a song playing, it would be Donna Summer.
I feel loved, right?
Very 70s disco.
Let me add my nice big,
I just need my fur coat.
I'm ready for Studio 54.
I love it.
Thanks for hanging out with me.
Thank you again for being here
and I'll see you on the next one.
Remember, glamor never expires, babies.
It never does.
Glamor never expires.
