A wise woman builds her house, but the foolish woman tears it down.
We learned, my real, there are lots of attributes of a foolish woman, but a clamorous woman
is a foolish woman.
Clamorous means loud, argumentative, and disruptive.
Why are you argumentative and disruptive?
Because you're chaotic.
So because that's what's inside you, everybody that you meet has to meet your chaos.
This is the secret key to getting more than where you're living right now.
When you do all this and you go to bed, what's another thing that I do before I go to bed?
I have my journal, and I write down everything that I was anxious about for the day.
And I end my day with one scripture, be anxious for nothing.
Somebody pull up the scripture.
I'm thinking about that.
Okay.
Be anxious for nothing.
What else?
I've been teaching my daughters this, four steps to getting rid of anxiety.
The first, Hannah can recite this backwards and forwards now because she's in ballet,
and this has been just instrumental in her being able to go to the next level without
being anxious about it.
So the first thing is decide you won't be anxious because we haven't decided.
When we go to bed, we're like, oh, God, oh, tomorrow I have so much to do, tomorrow I'll just...
You haven't decided yet.
What good fruit does anxiety have?
None.
That's why the Bible says, stop being anxious.
You're producing the fruit of fear and worry, but your future is secure already and bright.
So that's the first step.
Decide not to be anxious.
What's the next one?
Everything do what?
Everything.
Okay.
Pray.
You know what the Lord told me?
He said, you sure do think a lot.
And we feel like that's a good thing because I'm like, oh yeah, I'm a thinker, I'm a prayer.
Problem solver.
You can throw something at me and I've got it.
Just like he was knocking at the door of my heart saying, you think about it, but you
don't pray about it.
Because we still treat God as if, oh, that wouldn't be important to you.
Every hair on your head has a number.
Do you all understand how deep that is?
It doesn't just mean that he can say, oh, you know, Z has a thousand strands.
He can say, no, I know strand number eight.
I know strand number 23.
I know strand number 972 and you don't think he cares?
We don't know how many strands are on our head.
And God said, not only does he know, but they are numbers.
And we still treat him that way because we felt like our parents didn't think things
were important when we came to them.
Stop treating him like he's our natural father or never a bother to your daddy.
In a human capacity, as humans, we get tired, we get overwhelmed.
I'll tell the girls in a minute, give me about five minutes.
Let me regroup.
But God can hear all of his children cry at the same time and never be overwhelmed and
yet still know that it's me.
Because as much as I know the voice of my children, when I'm at Disney, when we go to
Legoland, I'm turning around like, yes, and it's not even my child.
It's just so many crying babies.
He's like, mommy.
I'm like, yes.
Yes.
It's like, oh, wow.
Kids sound just alike.
So I'm confused.
He's never confused about your cry.
That's all in the Bible says in the righteous cry, he'll answer.
He'll be there to deliver.
Step one, refuse to be anxious.
Step two, pray.
How many of us can lift our hands and admit we worry more than we pray?
Number three, prayer and supplication.
Now this is important.
Supplication means to plead humbly.
That means you are going to God in a place of humility.
That means you have to be vulnerable.
You can't act like you don't want it.
You can't act like, let's just say you're worried about a job, and you say, well, I'm
not going to be anxious.
Okay, God, I want a new job.
That's not supplication.
Supplication is to put yourself in a place of vulnerability with your daddy and to plead
humbly, to say, daddy, I really want this.
I need you to come through.
I need this.
I need you to answer.
I need to feel your presence.
That's how you stay in your femininity.
You have to be okay with being vulnerable with him and pleading humbly.
In a posture of humility means I always need God.
I can't do anything without God.
I can't think.
I can't move.
I can't eat.
I can't sleep.
I need him.
But also, it's pleading.
When was the last time you did that?
Maybe it was yesterday.
Maybe it was last week.
Maybe you don't even remember.
Can you think about it?
When was the last time you had a time where you sat down with the Lord, with your daddy,
and you just decided to be vulnerable and plead humbly?
Do you remember the last time?
He loves brokenness.
Supplication comes with brokenness.
Sometimes as women are growing in their femininity, they're afraid of being broken.
Brokenness is what God loves.
Remember?
Hannah was broken.
She was so broken that she was misdiagnosed.
They thought she was drunk, and still, because she was in a posture of humility in prayer,
she was still able to answer, no, my Lord, I'm not drunk.
If you're not humble and people mistake your femininity and your brokenness for weakness
then you'll lock up your heart.
You'll start worrying more about what they think than what God thinks.
You'll say, I don't want people to see me as weak.
I don't want to.
I don't like that.
I don't want people to.
But she was so broken and in such a posture of supplication that she didn't care if somebody
from the outside misdiagnosed her tears because her father understood every tear that came
down her face.
Do you realize that every tear that you have is bottled up?
That no tear in your life has ever been wasted?
And we waste our time worried about who makes fun of our tears, not understanding that this
is a great price.
Who loves your tears?
Unfortunately, in the church, we're always taught, gotta be strong, gotta be strong.
That's a strength.
Being feminine, being vulnerable, being humble is a strength.
Because if you're not walking in humility, you're walking in pride.
And God says he knows the prideful.
Where?
My heart.
That breaks my heart.
You're either going in one direction.
You're either going into humility or you're going into pride.
One God loves and one he says, I don't have anything to do with that.
I love you, but I can't be close to pride.
The devil wants to block you from that humble place because he knows if he can get you to
lock it up, I don't want people to think this way about me.
I don't want people, I don't want people to look at me a certain way.
I don't want people to think, but when he knows that you have the place of vulnerability
with your daddy and you're walking in humility, the Bible even says in humility, there are
riches and honor and faith.
It's talked about routines that make you rich.
We're still talking about it.
Humility unlocks the door for riches.
In the book, there's going to be a section in the book for you to study humility.
Study meekness because that's what God loves.
When you're like that with him, you know what happens?
You can be like that with your husband.
You can be like that with your children because you're not above any form of correction.
My youngest daughter, I was taking her to a doctor's appointment and for whatever reason,
the doctor changed the office.
So it was at a hospital, you know, the doctor's office is inside the hospital.
So we got there and it was a completely different office.
And so I called the doctor's office and I said, it's not here.
They were like, oh, I'm so sorry.
I think we didn't send you the communication, but we're down the street.
So I'm like, Alina, let's go.
So I'm running because her pediatrician, her doctor is booked six months out.
So if you miss it, we would have to wait another six months.
But on the way to the other place, Alina said, she said, you know how you just talk to them
and, you know, you sounded so sweet.
She said, but on the way in the car, now it's like you're rushing me.
And she said, I said, oh, so what you're saying is my tone was better with the lady
than it is with you in the car.
She said, yes, I want you to talk to me exactly the way you just talked to me.
But I'm not above correction, even from my daughter.
We give our children the room to say, I didn't like what you did.
And I explained to her, I said, I'm so sorry.
And I said, I was short with you because I was worried that we would miss the appointment
and then we'd have to wait.
I said, but that does not excuse me being short.
I said, but I realized that when I get worried, my tone isn't as pleasant.
And she was like, OK, just remember that.
When you posture yourself in humility, guess what happens?
You're not on the defense.
You're not like, girl, just no, no, no.
My tone was not what you wanted it to be.
I'm going to work on that.
And I take the time to explain the reason why I was like this.
Elena was because I was so worried that you would miss this very important doctor's appointment.
And she said, well, OK, but you can worry and still be pleasant.
I said, you're absolutely correct.
I'm going to work on that.
You want to be rich in your relationships?
Be humble.
Sometimes we think even as parents, oh, they just, children need to just listen to.
No, sometimes they will call you out.
My daughter is seven years old and she called me out and I told her, we went and got ice cream.
I told her, thank you for bringing that to my attention because I want to continue to be a better mom.
Of course, she was like.
Oh, and she definitely got extra sprinkles.
But when you're humble with God, it spills everywhere.
When you're not humble with God, it spills everywhere.
Either way, embody humility.
