In this video, we are going to talk about new high bonuses on the two Expedia credit cards.
We have the end of an era with a certain American Airlines card being discontinued.
We'll tell you what's going to happen to the current card members of that card.
And we have a limited time high bonus on another American Airlines credit card.
Hey, credit warriors, welcome to the show.
My name is Ben Hedges, aka The Credit Shoo-Foo.
And on this channel, I cover U.S. credit cards, personal finance and luxury travel.
If you like the sound of that, please subscribe.
But let's get into the video.
All right. So the first thing I want to talk about is these two Expedia credit cards for
OneKey, which is Expedia's loyalty program.
It's relatively new.
I actually remember doing a video about this about two years ago when it started.
Hey, credit warriors, welcome to the show.
And yes, Expedia Group just launched its new loyalty program called OneKey.
And as you can see on screen there, their loyalty program covers Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo.
They might have added a few more things in that two years since it's been running.
Now, they have two credit cards that earn their rewards currency, OneKey Cash.
Now, you can take a look at the two cards for yourself.
One has an annual fee, the OneKey Plus, and the other one, the OneKey Card, does not.
Obviously, the one with the annual fee will earn slightly higher rewards rates.
It's 2% on everything versus 1.5.
The other 3% bonus categories are actually the same on both.
The one with the annual fee also gives you gold status and $100 in anniversary cash,
which wipes out the annual fee completely.
So if you plan to actually use Expedia or Vrbo and pay in cash at least once a year,
you might as well get the annual fee card, OK?
Because that OneKey Cash is going to, you know, wipe out your annual fee.
But anyway, the news with these two cards is that they now currently have some pretty sweet
welcome bonuses.
$400 in OneKey Cash for spending $1,000 in three months on the no annual fee card.
And then $600 in OneKey Cash after you spend $3,000 in three months on the OneKey Plus card.
So it's a good opportunity to pick up either of these if you've been thinking about getting them.
But these bonuses end on December 1st.
So do be quick if you want them.
All right, let's now move on to the end of a certain American Airlines card,
and that would be the AA Aviator card from Barclays.
And you can see now the landing page for this card.
If you search it on Google, it's just turned into a page where
existing cardholders can log in.
But there's no apply now button, no bonus offered or anything like that, OK?
It's just for existing cardholders.
And this is because the partnership with Barclays
is now over and Citi will be the exclusive partner of American Airlines.
The situation with these two was a bit unusual since AA actually had two partnerships going at
the same time, which dated back to the merger with U.S. Airways, OK?
Barclays issued the old U.S. Airways credit cards.
And then when they merged with American Airlines,
OK, U.S. Airways and American Airlines merged.
Those cards, those U.S. Airways cards became the American Airlines Aviator cards.
They were advertised on board AA flights and in airports,
but not within 100 feet of an American Airlines lounge.
And then Citi had the exclusive rights for advertising,
you know, I don't know, online or billboards or anywhere else basically was Citi's domain.
But now AA has pulled the plug and signed an exclusive partnership with Citi,
which already issues those AA Advantage cards, all right?
There's a whole series of cards issued by Citi for American Airlines.
Current cardholders of the Aviator cards, which also are a series of different cards,
will be brought over to Citi in 2026, OK?
I don't know if you're going to be matched with an existing Citi card or
there's going to be some sort of generic card that you'll be put onto.
No idea about that.
If you have one of those cards, though, do look out for messages in your email
over the next few months or in your online account about the future of your card.
And we will, of course, tell you on this channel when we know what is happening.
Then coinciding with this news about the single card issuer for American Airlines cards,
we have a new high bonus on one of the AA cards from Citi.
And that would be on the AA Advantage Business World Elite Mastercard.
It's 75,000 points for spending $5,000 in five months.
That's $1,000 a month and 75,000 points is worth $1,162.50
if we use a points guy valuation of 1.55 cents per mile for AA miles.
The card has a $99 annual fee, but it is way for the first year,
which is getting rarer and rarer nowadays.
So that's a pretty cool.
But anyway, if you are interested, get it while you can.
It is a limited time offer and I'm not sure when it ends.
