Hello everyone, I'm Upright. Today I'm going to talk about Adventure.
The topic is talking about Adventure Deficit Disorder.
This idea comes from the book The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss, explained by A.J. Hope.
So, to start, what is ADD?
Normally, ADD means Attention Deficit Disorder when children cannot concentrate.
But A.J. Hope believes the real problem is boarding school, not the children.
It's not the student and children's fault, it's the teacher's and system's.
Tim Ferriss redefines ADD.
For adults, ADD means Adventure Deficit Disorder.
In other words, many adults don't have enough adventure in their life.
He believes this is a serious problem for most people.
Most adults become boring. They only focus on work and money.
They avoid new experiences because of fear.
They lose their imagination, their dreams, and their sense of adventure.
Tim's story is an example.
Tim started his company with a goal to earn $1,000 a day in passive income.
But even when he reached that goal, he kept working.
Why? Because he had no alternative activities, no adventure to replace the work.
This happens to many people, both employees and entrepreneurs.
Work often becomes an excuse to avoid life.
Even after retirement, many people feel unhappy because they have no dreams, no exciting activities.
Without adventure, life becomes routine and boring.
So, what should we do?
Make life itself an adventure.
Try new, difficult, something scary things.
Travel to new places.
Maybe without guidebook.
Or start a crazy project in your hometown.
The point is break your parent.
So, my message to you is this.
Don't just work, work, work.
Add surprise, variety, and adventure to your life.
When you feel stuck in the same routine, break it.
Do something new and different.
Go for your adventure.
Your energy and love for life will grow.
Thank you for your attention to our topic today.
I'm looking forward to seeing you at the next time.
